Openbook Teachers

I have been teaching english and science in a high school in Thailand in 2018/2019 (in the north, in Phetchabun province) for 3 semesters in total. The agency has managed to place my friend in the same school so we were both working and experiencing Thailand at the same time, it was awesome! We had enough time and money to discover Thailand during weekends and during the October break, and I could not expect more from the school and Open Book which made it easier in terms of visa, logistics and assistance. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, it was actually hard for me to go back to the US, I often miss Thailand, the lifestyle, the food, the weather and the Thai people.

I taught in the primary school in Chumphon, which is in the south of Thailand, with Openbook Teachers Agency. The town I was in is very nice and not far from the beach as well. The primary kids I taught were so sweet as well as the co-Thai teachers. In terms of working with this agency, it was the most memorable life-changing experience so far. There were so many things that happened and Openbook helped me in getting through all challenges professionally. For those who are looking for new experiences abroad, I would highly recommend you to try Openbook Teachers because if you have any issues, the friendly staff will immediately take action to support you. We at the school always got paid on time. I heard some of my friends in the same town had the work permit issue caused by their agency, but I didn't see any of the teachers in our school facing any work permit or visa issues. The visa team was always ontop of everything.

Working with Openbook Teachers has truly been such a great experience. I had no idea what to exception and this experience exceeded all my expectations. Openbook Teachers staff were always super friendly and were always willing to assist with offering constant support and answering my constant amount of queries and questions.This was my first time teaching in Thailand, I had previously taught in China but being in Thailand and with Openbook Teachers it was a whole different experience. They made the whole process from beginning to end really stress free. The whole process of arriving in Thailand was smooth, the staff meet me at the airport, took me to the hotel were the 2 day orientation took place in Bangkok. They even personally took us to our town of placement were I was going to be teaching. We got dropped off at our apartments and collected us for the first day of school. I really cannot recommended Openbook Teachers enough, they go over and above to assist their teachers. I taught at my school for a whole year and not once did I face any issues.
