Amazing experience

For me, EnriquezArte was a very deep and revealing experience. I learned a lot of new things of myself and technical skills. I enjoyed a lot about the comunity life and shared my time with a lot of people from different countries and cultures. All the work this center makes is incredible, the food bank is great and works very well you can help local people from the neighborhood (this neighborhood is very special for me, are a big latin comunity in vulnerability situation). The workshops are great as well (yoga, mindfullnes, climbing, marcial arts, salsa, etc.) and the morning glory will be part of my life, always! Also, they have great partnerships with other asociations. And Barcelona is a wonderfull city, that is a very big plus :))

Amazing community life

Working in enriquezarte is very rewarding. It had a very positive impact on my personal development. The volunteers are very nice and caring, Living in a community helps you to accommodate yourself to the community advantage, it promotes empathy and understanding cultural differences. As for the skills or knowledge I gained from participating in such a program, it can vary depending on the specific tasks and responsibilities, but generally, it provides valuable experience in areas such as: interpersonal skills, empathy and emotional intelligence, teamwork and collaboration and adaptability. Also, you will be able to participate in different activities centered in the wellness activities such as yoga, meditation, fitness, climbing and martial arts. Go ! You will discover Yourself.

This experience change my life!

My experience in EnriquezArte was everything that I could have asked for in terms of community. I lived within a close knit group who worked and experienced everything together. From helping the local community by providing a weekly food bank to exploring the amazing city of Barcelona in my spare time. I learned many new things about living alongside other people and also about myself. The list of activities to do within EnriquezArte is long and diverse, I discovered a new hobby of rock climbing during my time there which I will always be thankful of. If you are serious about living alongside people who are motivated to help the local community with numerous projects and provide a service to those who need it most then this is the place for you.

What inspired you to travel abroad?

I was a volunteer in EnriquezArte in 2019 for one year. At first, I came only for three months but I extended my stay for nine months because of the covid season. In that time I became a coordinator in the summer camp and had an amazing experience that changed my life.

What inspired you to travel abroad?

My passion for volunteering began at 16, driving me to seek meaningful experiences locally and globally. However, I often felt inadequate compared to professionals I aimed to assist, leading me to search for an NGO offering the training and mentorship I needed. Frustratingly, I found none that met my criteria.
