Mesa Community College (MCC) is the largest in the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD), which (at the same time) is the United States’ biggest community college district in terms of student population. While we are established in 1965, our history dates back to 1963 when our college was launched as an extension branch of Phoenix College. We gained autonomy in 1965 and produced our first batch of graduates in 1968.
MCC is dedicated to teaching and empowering young people to succeed in local and global communities. We promote career readiness, lifelong learning, and workforce development through a broad range of degrees as well as certificate, career, and transfer programs. Our areas of focus include Business, Computer Science, Electronics, Dental Hygiene, and more. We also offer faculty led, short-term study abroad programs in countries like Belgium, France, England, Costa Rica, and Mexico. These programs and courses vary each year, and are available to all students as well as community members.
