Program for a complete leader
Submitted by Rafael Erthal - University of Brasilia | July 21, 2015
I participated in the study program on August 2014. To be honest, I have always been quite skeptical about applying leadership to real-life situations. I thought the theory was disconnected from the reality. This program made me change many preconceived ideas I had about what a leader would look like.
The lectures enable you to look differently, in an unique way, at the concepts surrounding leadership. I was simply amazed with the experience.
Outside the classroom, the activities developed capabilities and functionings related to leadership, with different and interesting methods.
Developing multi-skilled leaders
Submitted by Ana Flavia Felix - Brasília | July 20, 2015
The program approached a wide variety of topics that concern the formation of global leaders, from geopolitics to sustainability to physical and mental health. The lecturers were pre-eminent experts in their fields, and most of them were utterly successful in engaging our interest and participation. The Business English classes could have been a little more challenging, but overall I was nothing short of dazzled by the excellence of the program.
Participated in a customized program for Global Leadership
Submitted by Jaime Rios - Universidade de Brasilia | July 20, 2015
The whole experience was amazing. From great lectures to incredible cultural experiences!
Between my favorites are the Maori camp and the trip to Wellington where we spoke with a congressman and visited a great museum.
Brasilia Without Borders Program
Submitted by Anderson Silva - Universidade de Brasília - UnB | July 20, 2015
Brasilia government chose the Institute of Global Engagement team to offer a four weeks program designed to develop the leadership skills of 25 bachelor students in August 2014. It was an amazing experience, full of culture and new ideas that changed my life and made me more prepared to face the challenges in my work and inside the university. The opportunity of sharing knowledge and getting in touch with another culture is something everybody should try, for personal or professional improvement, and New Zealand is definitely a great destination for that.
