EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation

Established in 1987, we began as a joint initiative between the European Commission and Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to strengthen industrial ties between the EU and Japan. In 2020, we became an independent General Incorporated Foundation, with our headquarters in Tokyo and a branch office in Brussels. Our work is guided by a shared commitment to fostering meaningful economic and industrial cooperation between both regions. Our focus is on promoting trade, investment, and business collaboration by supporting companies, facilitating exchanges, and helping businesses become more competitive through mutual learning and cooperation.
