Multifaceted and Eye-Opening Experience at ArtBound Initiative
February 12, 2026by: May Alzaben - Saudi ArabiaAs a current member of the ABI alumni community, I had such a blast as an ABI participant in 2025. In the span of 1 year, I respectively did two internships: a Magazine Editorial Internship and a Creative Writer Internship. Both taught me so much and allowed me to gain more confidence as an aspiring writer. Additionally, I gained a variety of important lessons and skills through the ABI Academy. These experiences combined have allowed me to grow, evolve, and become a better intern! Thank you, ABI!

January 15, 2026by: Leah McCabe - AustraliaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to intern with Art Bound Initiative and gain hands-on experience in a real office environment. I was welcomed warmly by everyone at the firm and given meaningful time, tasks, and guidance that allowed me to learn, grow, and actively contribute. I appreciated being trusted to share ideas, support senior designers, and take part in real projects, which made the experience both valuable and rewarding. Coming from Australia, this internship was also a life-changing opportunity to live and work in another country for the first time. Beyond developing my graphic design skills, I learned a great deal about myself, professional responsibility, and the art and design culture of another country. This experience has greatly enriched my knowledge, confidence, and perspective.

One of A Kind Experience
January 11, 2026by: Dalton Mosley - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
When I first joined the Artbound Initiative Program, I thought it was too good to be true. Frankly, I thought it was a scam designed to take advantage of young creative professionals who've been discouraged by a job market and political climate that's gradually erasing the value of their passions. I couldn't have been more wrong. The program had everything a young creative needs to get a jumpstart on their career---career guidance, resume & portfolio assistance, frequent communication with advisors and mentors, and most importantly, connections with other interns. They even went the extra mile of helping me find housing and learning the area when I eventually moved to New York for my internship, and the experience I gained there help me take advantage of other opportunities that have come my way. So many doors have opened and I'm glad to have been part of this experience. I hope others can be helped by the Initiative, so long as it remains affordable for them.
I finished my internship with more skills than I ever imagined.
November 12, 2025by: Alesa Ruanova - United StatesIt was the best work experience I’ve ever had. I couldn’t have ended up in a better internship; it was a perfect match with the company I joined. By the end of my internship, they even hired me as a freelancer. My manager was incredibly patient with me and taught me so much.
Amazing Internship experience in New York, a dream come true for me!
August 21, 2025by: Olivia Cooper - United KingdomProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
I had the opportunity to intern with a Magazine in NYC through the ABI programme. It has always been a dream of mine to live and work in New York, however I didn't think I would make it a reality until I discovered ABI. They really helped guide me through the process and produce a portfolio and CV that would be desirable for getting hired and specific for the creative industry. It was really nice to have the support and help, especially as someone relocating and having to do the necessary documentation for this. Finding somewhere to live was also very easy and stress free which I appreciated.
Internship in New York was a Great Experience!
April 17, 2025by: Nashaly Rodriguez - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
I was placed in New York, in the city of my choice, within my field of film production. Although my first choice was Script Development, I was placed in a Film Production position. At first, I was a bit disappointed because it wasn't what I wanted at first, but after going through the internship, I realized that it gave me ample experience in production for clients in video making, editing, and client scheduling. The videos we filmed were for promotion for the clients, advertising their products or business, and making a story come to life. Not only was this experience valuable for my career, but the people I met during this experience were absolutely amazing, and I know we will become lifelong friends and partners. Truly a great place to be to start your career in your designated field.

ABI Internship
April 01, 2025by: Taurphan Gamonsugosol - ThailandProgram: Creative Internships in Melbourne
ABI was a helpful and worthwhile experience that I would recommend to others. My main concern that I was worried about when entering the workforce was being able to find an internship at all, so I'm glad that ABI was able to bridge the gap there so I could focus more on my actual work experience as opposed to stressing out applying to a million different places in the hopes that one of them will interview me.
I got an amazing internship!
March 21, 2025by: Salvador Logchies - NetherlandsProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Los Angeles
Artbound Initiative provided an excellent pathway for securing my internship, offering valuable support throughout the process. They helped match me with a role that aligned with my interests at Untitled Entertainment. I gained hands-on experience in script coverage, film production, and industry research. Their guidance in networking and professional development was helpful, making it easier to connect with industry professionals and build confidence in reaching out to managers and assistants. Beyond securing the internship, Artbound was also supportive in practical matters, such as helping me transition smoothly when I needed to change apartments. The first housing that they arranged was far from good but they made sure I got my money back. Their responsiveness and willingness to assist made a significant difference in my overall experience. Thanks to this program, I gained both professional skills and industry connections that will benefit me in my career. I highly recommend Artbound Initiative to anyone looking for structured, well-supported industry experience in entertainment and media.
ABI Sydney Internship
September 11, 2024by: William Higo - AustraliaProgram: Creative Internships in Sydney
My internship in Sydney has been an amazing adventure. After graduating, I wanted to dive make a start in my career but hit a few bumps along the way. That’s when I signed up for the ABI program, which really came through for me. They helped me connect with companies and agencies in Sydney and got me ready for the internship by refining my resume, updating my portfolio, and keeping in touch with potential employers. When I first arrived in Sydney, I was a bit unsure of myself, but the company I interned with was very supportive and helped me adjust to the new environment. Over the months, I started with smaller tasks but gradually took on more important work. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’m really grateful to ABI for helping me get started as a designer.

As a multimedia creative, or jack-of-all-trades, I was always worried about having to box myself in and settle on a definite path in my career. This dynamic and engaging internship allowed me to explore various avenues of creative work, and surrounded me with professionals I came to really admire.
An amazing internship experience overall
July 09, 2024by: MaJo - HondurasProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
The program helped me to get an internship in an animation studio, the environment was fantastic and I didn't feel overwhelmed or overloaded with work; the tasks assigned to me where appropiated for my skills and helped me to improve further. It also helped me to improve my insights to get into the creative industry by the coaching sessions regarding portfolio and resume, as well as understanding how could we integrate into different working cultures. Although, I think the program should consider other housing partners that are more "open" into international bank accounts or could have better contact with bank institutions among the world given that I had problems with one of the housing partners regarding payments. Except from the last paragraph, it was an amazing experience!
ABI Internship Experience

One For The Books
December 01, 2023by: Senthil Kumaran Raja Kumar - MalaysiaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
ArtBound Initiative's summer internship programme has quite possibly altered the trajectory of my entire life, all in a span of 4 months. From the beginning, staff were receptive to my needs and goals for the programme. The coaching process was incredibly empowering, and helped me find my voice which is not easy for people from underrepresented groups in the creative world. The resume and career mentoring sessions allowed me to fine tune the image that I portray to future employers to ensure that I am representing myself authentically and genuinely. The programme advisors were always available to assist with issues that arose and knocked some sense into me when the inevitable imposter syndrome set in. Throughout the whole experience, I felt safe and respected and my growth was the ultimate priority - and grow I did. This programme is thoroughly planned, meticulously executed, and overall an unmissable opportunity for anyone who wants to break into the art world.

ABI
September 15, 2023by: lcarballea - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
ABI before the internship was the main kickstart of my career because before onboarding on what it was the actual internship I had to go through ABI Industry Fast Track program which prepared me to find and onboard my internship. So in the end, I would said Art Bound Initiative helped me the most by preparing to front and board my internship in the right and with the right attitude.

A Mind-blown Internship in Melbourne
August 17, 2023by: Kelly Cheung - ChinaProgram: Creative Internships in Melbourne
The internship highlighted the significance of adaptability and organisational skills. Navigating a new environment and industry demanded an open-minded approach and a willingness to align with the workplace ethos. While seeking guidance from a supervisor is essential, there are instances when we must rely on our problem-solving abilities. Learning from mistakes was paramount, considering that the internship was fundamentally a learning opportunity. The experience also underscored the importance of structured communication through business reports and marketing articles. They are instrumental in convincing clients of the capabilities of the agency to address their concerns effectively. In terms of skills and knowledge, the internship was transformative. Beyond refining my copywriting abilities, I became more well-versed in the intricacies of digital marketing. Learning to effectively use AI tools opened up new avenues for creative work. Crafting compelling articles and blogs honed my communication skills, while also offering insights into persuasive techniques employed in advertising.

An invaluable experience meant for the books
June 28, 2023by: Carolyn Rose-Grayson - United StatesMy introduction to ABI was one that was a bit unconventional. I was a gap-year student hailing from a relatively small town in North Carolina. Despite that, I had big dreams - dreams that I was committed to bringing into fruition. My experience working not only with the ABI network, but also those who I had the pleasure of meeting during my internship, has been truly insightful. Aside from broadening my world-view, this experience has definitely put my strengths and weaknesses into perspective. I feel like I've become more wise as a result of everything that has occurred throughout the length of the program, and it's for that reason that I'm so grateful.

Really great virtual internship opportunity
May 02, 2023by: Mikey Milligan - United StatesABI and the ABI team gave me a lot of new skills and experience that I can take into my career as an artist. Not only did I learn how to get an internship, but I learned how to maneuver and market myself in the artworld. Thanks to ABI, I also made some incredible connections with other creatives. I did a virtual internship with a painter overseas. In this internship I was responsible for a lot of behind the scenes work in uploading pieces to sell, compiling a portfolio, etc. This gave me insight into what goes into being an artist and selling your work. The ABI team was incredibly helpful when I needed it. My program coordinator, Jason, was very helpful and attentive. Generally, the ABi team does really well in responding, and they expect the same from you. They answered any and all questions I had without belittling me, and were happy to help.

Good career experience
March 20, 2023by: Grace W - New ZealandI completed a virtual internship with this program and was fortunate enough to have it funded by my University. I found the pre-internship training, including resume, job interview and career coaching, very useful. The internship itself was a great experience and gave me something to add to my portfolio. ArtBound definitely has great reach when it comes to providing companies to intern with and I was lucky enough to intern with a reputable business. The downside is that most of these internships are not paid which can feel exploitative. I also felt that the admin team could've been more attentive. Nevertheless, ArtBound provided me with a great internship that provided great career experience.
Such a great opportunity!
March 20, 2023by: Wanaka Yamasaki - New ZealandThe ABI internship programme was so great at helping me launch into the creative industries. I've learnt so much in my script development internship and these are lessons I'll be able to carry with me for the future. For an industry notorious for being closed off or hard to break into, ABI made it accessible for me to connect to so many talented and established creatives in the industry. The ABI team, especially Laura, Zulfa, and Alif, made my journey super easy. Any question or concern I had I could address with them and they'd help me out. It made the overall virtual experience less daunting because I knew I had a support system there.

Interning abroad was the best choice I ever made
March 15, 2023by: solinberlin - AustraliaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
Hi, I'm Sol and I studied Animation at Swinburne. I loved interning at The Mill in Berlin. Escaping the Australian summer to experience real winter with snow was so worth it. Though the cold was unbearable sometimes too... Without ABI equipping me for work beforehand I would never be prepared for real work. From coaching tailored for me specifically, giving me advice on how to improve my portfolio and CV, how to prepare for the interview, how to set up future goals, etc. The only con was, this was done while I was studying full-time at uni, so handling both at the same time was a bit hard. It is a long process and there is time pressure to get things done. But all the preparation landed me an internship with The Mill in Berlin. Interning with them was awesome, their team is so nice and they made me feel included and part of the team. I got to work on so many projects and also do a lot of different things, from motion design, concept art, graphic design, presentation decks, R&D, and more! Berlin has really good food around! And groceries are very cheap too! The accommodation was a bit expensive, but it was nice to have Berlin Central Station so close by! Berlin's public transport is soooo good, I could get to work in 30 minutes! The art scene is so good too, I only went to Museum Island, but that was enough for me! My favorite museum amongst them was definitely Alte Nationalagalerie. If you're into paintings, this one is for you too! I was able to make some friends in my time in Berlin too, not only cause I went to a Chinese church and they made me feel welcome, but our Aussie Crew (all through ABI) also hang out pretty often. We went to Sanssouci Palace with ABI! It was awesome! I wish I had more time or spared more time for traveling around Germany or Europe, but I'm already satisfied with all I've seen, also definitely want to go back to Berlin! Good luck to anyone who's going abroad! Have a blast!
The beginning of a new chapter...
March 02, 2023by: Jason Landon - AustraliaProgram: Creative Internships in Melbourne
The internship definitely met my expectations. If anything, it exceeded them! The three months flew by, and I couldn't believe how much I had learnt within the creative industry and about myself through finding my way around an unfamiliar city. From the beginning, I felt like part of the Picos Digital Marketing Agency and was given client-facing tasks that made me feel like a valued team member. ArtBound Initiative was fundamental to the process of making this dream become a reality. They gave me the necessary building blocks and confidence to put myself out there and explore the workforce and a new city. They helped me feel prepared for the internship, and because of this, I was fortunate enough to be offered a job at Picos once my internship concluded. I have now been given a brilliant opportunity to begin a new life with Picos and in Melbourne. I feel very fortunate to have been a part of the Artbound Initiative program and feel it has provided me with new and exciting opportunities.

Immersive experience
February 07, 2023by: Sophia Roca - United StatesThough my internship was held virtually, I still had an immersive experience in the animation industry. My interest lies in the creative development of television shows and was able to gain insight into the writing/brainstorming process. I am grateful to have made connections with professionals and other interns who share the same interests in storytelling.
Not a lost cause
February 03, 2023by: Jill Sioson - AustraliaProgram: Creative Internships in Melbourne
Before undergoing ArtBound Initiative, I was very lost in terms of where to go next after obtaining a degree. I was very shy in a very network-focused industry. ArtBound changed thatThe one-on-one coaching sessions with targeted industry professionals were eye-opening and inspiring, allowing me to realise my strengths and weaknesses. Not only that, but the assigned weekly tasks helped me apply what I learned, prepare for my placement, and keep me moving forward career wise. ArtBound felt like a second chance for my introverted self. They were so encouraging and made sure my goals were at the centre of the programme. They also made sure I wasn't alone in this journey. Zoom sessions and art-enriching hangouts were also included, allowing me to network with other interns in the field! Highly recommend :)

Terrible experience overall with a few bright spots
October 22, 2022by: Jared Aviet - AustraliaIf you are not desperate for any opportunity and if you are a mature graduate or soon-to-be graduate, I would say don’t believe the hype with this organisation as unfortunately, I had an awful experience during most of my 6 weeks or so with Artbound Initiative. A couple of staff members were clear communicators and were understanding of my situation as I have already been in the workforce full- time and I have a young family. My situation was clearly stated when I signed up in my initial interview, being that I work a 40 hour a week job in finance but I will still endeavour to respond to messages as quickly as I can regarding messages from artbound. However, it turned out that staff members do not respond in a timely fashion and when they do - they message arrogantly, rudely and downright disrespectfully. Even the CEO Laura agreed with me on the lack of communication, the attacks on myself personally and the rude communication in general. In 15 years in the workforce professionally, having worked in a range of various companies big and small - I had never been messaged in the manner as I had been from this employee of artbound, Stephanie - who knew very little of the film and television industry here in Australia. I knew more about it since I have many friends in the industry today and I graduated from the JMC Academy in Melbourne in a film and television course. I found the overall rude communication and disrespect off putting already and I had a chat with the CEO of artbound, Laura, about my greivances. I also had a separate grievance with the unprofessionalism from another staff member that I thought was not engaged, Zulfa. The time difference also did not help matters any. I continued whilst never receiving an apology from Stephanie but at least a positive chat and apology from Laura. Things did not get better and I decided to pull out from the program. Laura agreed as well as things were never smooth sailing and that communication problems were ongoing. My previous complaints were not adhered to and my same grievances with Zulfa kept coming up. Add all of this for the ridiculously high price of $1980 or so AMERICAN, the constant, annoying daily automated messages which even Laura admitted is annoying and the lack of assistance or direction involved that I’m amazed some people have said this is a good program. Probably for rich children coming out of uni with no options and no job or family- this is fine but as a graduate from 2017 with a young family and with a successful job in another industry from what I studied- this was not meant to be. On the positive side, no hard feelings with resume coach Marion as I had a great experience with her and even with Laura even though I do feel she should improve her program and manage her rude and awful staff member (the former which I advised her but not the latter, although I hope she realises it is an issue which needs fixing). I think the entire experience is definitely not conducive to helping people in a hands-on, encouraging way and I think the experience also takes advantage a bit of people seeing as they are paying so much money and still have to do quite a lot of work to get ready just for an unpaid internship opportunity. I could get an internship opportunity somewhere but this would mean sacrificing a full time job and an upcoming second job I’m having whilst also having my foot already dipped in the industry I want to get into fully someday. I think that if you are fine being talked down to, are desperate for opportunities if you can’t network in your own area where you live or if you have a lot of money saved, then I could see recommending this opportunity. But I would say there is no substitute for hard work, networking, putting your name and content out there on socials and doing your research into courses thoroughly before forking out your hard earned money My mistake was being sweet talked by Ena and another friend of mine in Melbourne to come aboard artbound intitative. Once I joined, it was a very different story and overall a very negative experience and hands down the worst professional experience I have had with any organisation. You are not seen as an equal or even a student but you are seen as a commodity to be insulted and talked down to. If you can put up with that - fine. At this stage in my life, I simply refuse to put up with that nonsense and no one in a professional environment or job should speak to you the way people spoke to me. Thank you.
Hi Jared - we are truly sorry that you had a bad experience through our program. We recognize that we were not able to deliver what you expected nor that we had wished for you. As we take pride in delivering on our promises and providing a niche and valuable program, we had given you a full program refund. You can see from our other participant reviews that we have a track record of happy participants, so we are also disappointed we failed to do so with you. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

ABI - NY internship
October 03, 2022by: HenrikProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
I stumbled upon the ArtBound Initiative program while looking for an American internship opportunity in the field of marketing and branding. With the help of ABI I was able to reach that goal and intern for an advertising agency in New York during 6 months. I recommend the ABI program to anyone who has the same ambition and would like to have access to a network of creatives. ABI guarantees an internship and their team helps you in every step of the process, from creating an original and professional résumé to the visa application and housing accommodation. The ABI coordinators are very competent and check up on you once in a while to see how the internship is going. You need to be aware that the program is expensive and that most proposed internships are unpaid. This is one negative aspect of the program and should be different for future participants. At the same time, the ArtBound Initiative program made it possible for me to enter the world of advertising and start learning all the basics in the capital of this industry. Thanks to ABI I further developed my professional skills and work experience while also getting to meet other participants and work together with great colleagues.

I am so incredibly grateful for the experience and knowledge I was able to take away.

The ABI Program really helped me connect with people and find a great summer internship for me that really helped me grow as a designer and learn from really talented professionals in the industry. They kept checking in regularly before, during and after the internship to ensure I was having a great learning experience and if I needed any help from their side.

I interned with a creative agency in New York City this summer through Artbound Initiative and have only great things to say! I loved interning with ArtBound Initiative! From day one, they encouraged me to take myself seriously, and they viewed me in that way, too. They were intentional about hearing and helping me form my career goals and really tailored my internship experience according to what I wanted. They were super responsive and willing to help. Program coordinators were always up for a Zoom call if I had any questions (even soft-skill related!). They are not here just to get you through an internship but to truly coach you and mentor you, which is the best thing about the internship. Also, they are very attentive to feedback from interns and know so much about your workplace dynamic, and are not only willing but also knowledgeable when you ask for advice. The resources are amazing, and the network I am a part of is here for life - I've even mad friends with some program alumni who also live in NYC! I am now connected to so many like-minded young professionals globally and feel like so many doors are open for me professionally. ArtBound training enabled me to form a character and mindset that set me up for success in the future. I would recommend going through this program to anyone!
Life-changing 3 months in New York city
September 05, 2022by: Regina - SingaporeProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
ArtBound had played an indispensable part in bridging me from Singapore to the other side of the world, especially to a place as notoriously competitive and iconic like New York City. Before, even envisioning going overseas to work was difficult, because it was impossible to know where to start. Especially for a 20 something college student whom still is inexperienced regarding her career and ambitions. New York has famously had the reputation as a tough and relentless place that allows you to attain your wildest dreams only if you can overcome the unforgiving weight of the city of your shoulders. As a young foreigner, I am put at an even greater disadvantage than my peers in New York. ArtBound had helped me immensely in helping me to oversee the tedious and difficult process where I can even begin to find myself anywhere near going to New York. Not only did the company helped me to secure the internship placement with their immense network of connections, but I thankfully could leave my visa application up to them as well. They also assisted in finding me a safe and convenient place to stay, but they had also provided me with something that most people neglect when they come to New York to chase their dreams, which is a family. It is this emotional safety blanket that I was extremely grateful to be able to be granted when I reached New York. Especially as per the previous statements regarding my foreign status, on hindsight, I felt that the found family I had built with the help of ArtBound was essential to my emotional well-being in New York. Through the company assisting other foreign interns in coming into the city, I found many people not unlike me who is an outsider trying to find their way in the city of their dreams. I was able to find comfort and safety through the extreme ups and downs that any person would experience in the big and chaotic city. It was incredibly invaluable that I had great people surrounding me to ground me and to look out for me because I can get so easily lost in the shuffle. Now, I have so many diverse friends from literally around the world, so I will never be lost in chasing my dreams from Singapore to New York. For my internship, I was placed at this not-for-profit company called Harvestworks that was conceived when artists from New York came together and began working on their craft collectively. I was tasked with assisting on their summer exhibition showcasing art works of technical focus, as well as the promotion and the glorification of the event in order to generate focus and awareness from the public. It was also crucial that I could capture the exhibition well enough to ensure that grant money would flow in. I suggested methods that were within my comfort-zone, such as designing engaging graphics for Instagram and interesting videos that could go onto YouTube. In the midst of garnering the content needed to produce these simple and staple marketing collaterals, I had come to see that I had the content necessary to piece together something that could help the public to decipher the complicated and niche works of the artists at Harvestworks. So, I pitched the idea of producing interviews from the featured artists alongside their work to be posted onto the company’s YouTube page. I had not realised the extent to which the interviews I produced had impacted the company until after it was finished, for I felt that the nuanced works of the artists that unveiled their profound sentiments towards the complicated relationship we shared with sound and space within technology, could be better understood and interpreted by others. When I had immersed myself as the consumer or visitor of Harvestworks’ art program, I had frequently questioned myself on the impact that Harvestworks had in the New York art scene and what it really meant for art going forward. Especially when New York had historically always been at the front of reinventing art and technology. I had framed the interviews in this perspective, and I felt like this documentary I had left behind would better cement this current artistic milestone and help break down what art would mean for the present and the future. My supervisor Carol had informed me that she had been very successful in impressing the shareholders of our showcase with the videos I had produced demonstrating what we have done and are trying to do, and she can expect more grant money for upcoming exhibitions.

Great resources! Great internship opportunities! Great learning experience!
August 12, 2022by: Marian Guerra - United StatesI found ABI through an online career fair that my school was hosting for students and was really excited by the opportunities they offered. I chose to do my internship locally, opting for a remote experience because of the pandemic. The two months of coaching through ABI's online modules prepared me about the soft skills that I needed to develop for the workplace, envision my career goals, and actively create steps to achieve them. The coaches and mentors that worked with me helped me navigate the career path I wanted and build my portfolio to a professional competitive level. The result was a portfolio which was so much better than the one I created at school. Through ABI's connections, I managed to get responses from different organizations and brands that were interested in me. I managed to land a remote internship at an agency that works for international brands. The internship was challenging, eye opening, and fun, with my mentor supervising my internship journey through my journal as well as regularly checking up with me and giving me an assessment. While working professionally, I had the opportunity to expand my skills, test my creativity, make mistakes, learn from them and rectifying them. I'm really proud of the designs and work I made by myself and in collaboration with my coworkers. The resources and support I received from ABI were BETTER than the ones that were provided to me by my school. Many thanks to Lauren, Sasha, Laura, Ginda, & Zulfa!

VisDev at The STUDIO NYC
July 07, 2022by: Arriquenia - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
I was initially nervous about ArtBound Initiative because it was the first time I’ve ever taken part in a program like this. What I got out of it was so much more and lessons to continue working on/learning. I was asked to interview for a Visual Development Internship with The STUDIO NYC right out of my portfolio review scheduled by ABI… and it really changed my workflow and artistic awareness for the better. I was in charge of developing environment assets for an in-house project that was to be pitched this past month, actually. Unfortunately, I was only able to develop 1.5 complete concepts with a ton of preliminary sketches due to my freelance/performance career outside of the internship. Yet, my mentors were understanding and patient with my time and process. They communicated my weaknesses and strengths in a conducive manner, always highlighted the things I needed to focus on and what was currently working, and also asked me to take part as a Production Assistant for i project I had to unfortunately decline. It served as a pivotal stepping stone in my path as a VisDev Artist! ABI provided a ton of lessons and resources to make sure that I can represent myself professionally in the 2D Animation industry. I’m so grateful to Laura for this opportunity and the connections that about with it!

ArtBound Initiative has helped me most with the constant support and confidence in my capabilities to flourish in my career. Before ABI, I was quite insecure about how my future in my career will look. I found the supervisors' and coaches' (namely Laura, Zulfa and Ginda's) wholehearted support and how they communicate their support to be the most helpful thing through it all. They constantly guided me in finding the perfect internship for the next step of my career and I couldn't be more grateful.

It really helped me as a young design school graduate so much as ABI guided me in to the right direction. I wouldn't have accomplished this without the program. The training definitely played a big part given that I didn't even have a designer portfolio website prior to that, my resume was also crafty and way less eye-catching. During the meetings some of the ABI alumni shared their stories which I found really engaging, it’s always nice to hear from someone in a similar position and learn from them. Plus I’m grateful that I had the support I received during the company search level as well as preparing for the interviews, it saved me a lot of time and energy so I could utilize my time critically and meaningfully.

Participating in the ArtBound Initiative program was in every way a great experience. It took me in the end 2 years to finally get to New York due to the pandemic, but I was very well assisted throughout the whole process. I got high quality coaching at the beginning which really helped me define my professional goal and I was also very well equiped for applying and interviewing at my dream organisation, Creative Time. Once in New York I got all the support I needed in terms of finding a place to stay, to information about admistrative stuff you need to do when you move there. These things can get quite overwhelming when you move abroad and it was nice to have someone to contact in case I had any questions and who was always responsive. Besides getting a foot in the door in a competitive City like New York, I also got in touch with a lot of other participants. Some of them became very good friends and it is inspiring to think I have friends all over the world! I would keep in mind that New York is a very expensive city. Coming from a background with low income, it was a huge challenge to live there, even if I saved money before coming. However, I would still totally recommend making this investment, because this experience was priceless and I know it will pay off in the future.

Incredibly valuable experience
May 31, 2022by: Prinshu Gautam - NepalI received a great amount of support and guidance from the Artbound initiative team throughout my internship time. I especially appreciated the preparatory work I did before starting my virtual internship. From the beginning the team was invested in truly listening to what I wanted out of a virtual internship and helped me secure one of the most significant internships thus far in my career. The program helped me understand what I should prioritize during an internship period, how to be an effective communicator and most importantly how to make sure an internship experience should not be treated as an isolated occurrence. The Artbound initiative team was the most supportive and understanding team of mentors I have had the opportunity to work with. The lessons I gained from the program will stick with me for the rest of my professional life. Throughout the program the team took care of the tiniest details and made me feel secure about the big picture as well. The modules were wonderful in preparing me for my internship. Ginda and all the team at ABI make sure all your needs and wants can be met. My internship was online and in Sydney and I was always made to feel like I was part of the team. The internship was highly productive and I was pushed to learn new ways of tackling problems that the agency I was interning at was facing with a particular project. Joining the ABI was the best decision I've made in my professional development, I was able for the first time use what I had learnt at university and apply it into the real world.

From the beginning, I asked what I hoped to gain and learn from the internship program. This way, they are able to manage roles and obligations that would genuinely prepare me for the sort of job I expected.
Probably the most beneficial opportunity in the whole of my University life!
February 24, 2022by: Sophie Whitehead - AustraliaProgram: Creative Internships in Sydney
I learnt things that I never thought I needed. From the preparation steps, to setting up a network on LinkedIn and to getting your profile out there, ArtBound helped with it all. The whole process took the mystery away from finding an internship in our forever evolving and competitive creative industry. I now feel as though I am a step ahead, now working as a Junior Designer for the Company that ArtBound helped me to intern for!

Internship in NYC through Artbound Initiative
February 21, 2022by: Paigemiller - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
Artbound Initiative helped me get an internship with with Seliger Studio, world-renowned photographer Mark Seliger’s photo studio in New York. I can already tell that I will look back on this internship as the break-through start of my career. I’ve learned more in the past five months than I did during almost the entirety of my film degree, I’ve made remarkable connections, and I’ve gotten the opportunity to get an up-close look at what my dream career would look like on a day-to-day basis. It has solidified my passion for photography, clarified my goals for the future, and taught me to be more resilient and resourceful than I could ever have imagined; I still have a long way to go, but I feel so much more prepared for the fast-paced, high pressure creative environments that I strive to be at the center of. Without Artbound Initiative, I would have had no idea that internships with Seliger Studio even existed. Artbound has put me in touch with all of the right people, truly kickstarting the beginning of my career and allowing me to move to New York. I’ve so appreciated the caring, personal support they have provided me throughout this whole process, encouraging me to reach for opportunities that I would have never thought possible for myself. The confidence I have gained in my own abilities, as well as my career, in the past year is in large part due to the coaching, support, and opportunities provided by Artbound– for that, I couldn’t be more grateful!
Working two film internships in New York as a young creative
February 16, 2022by: Theo LC - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
I found Artbound Initiative after a year of unsatisfying college and was in a process of reevaluating. They connected me with companies and experiences that higher education couldn't and helped me to find a foothold and gain experience in an extremely tough and competitive industry. I would recommend this program for those looking to either relocate to a major city with strong artistic roots or those living there already needing to find a foot in the door. However, if the locations and cities don't interest you I would recommend finding a way in elsewhere. This is absolutely not a bad reflection of ABI only a reflection of the creative industry and that the connections you build in one place may stay in one place even after you leave. Overall it was a great and reflective experience for me, I'm glad I did it.
A very advantageous program!
January 26, 2022by: Dean - AustraliaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
A really great experience that offers opportunities which are otherwise incredibly challenging to gain access to. The support networks they provide and very comforting, and allow each participant to travel to a new city (and sometimes country) and be immediately immersed into a social group. So many opportunities for career, and self, development and you truly can get so much out of it, as long as you put everything into it.
Confidence + connections
January 10, 2022by: SamReyes852 - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
I did a marketing internship in Fall 2021 where I found a great environment to learn how the marketing world works. In 4 months, I learned how to pitch a winning deck to clients, what 'creative strategy' really consists of, what things I need to learn to reach my dream position, and many more. I was able to develop the confidence needed to succeed in NY as well. One piece of advice for interns is that ABI can't do it all, be assertive and take initiative to get the most out of your experience.
Seriously a cool experience - apply now!
January 08, 2022by: Max Rattner - United StatesThe ArtBound Initiative has been with me through all my questions, problems and has helped me problem solve and connect with amazing creatives. They helped me build a demo reel and update my portfolio along with priceless soft skills. The people have helped me gain professional confidence and were also super supportive. Being able to say I've interned with a creative agency across the world has opened the door to so many opportunities. I've done real projects and gotten a lot done even as a remote intern. Hopefully will be in person in the Summer!
ArtBound Initiative Berlin Program

I would have to say this program was the best experience I've ever had. Incredibly simple procedure, informative preparation, and an amazing team that has answers to any questions or issues you encounter. Not only do you gain experience in the field you're interested in but you gain connections along the entire journey!
Life-changing. I'm already claiming it!
December 19, 2021by: Maria Anthonette Gadon - PhilippinesProgram: Creative Internships in Melbourne
I know it is still early to say this, but with the fact that I am part of this program now, I know there are many things that I can do with my experiences here. The network is wide, and I can always connect with many other inspiring and aspiring creatives anytime. The wider the network, the bigger the opportunity. I've also become more organised in doing my tasks through the strict schedule made by the program from beginning till end. The only down side is that my internship happened during the pandemic when everyone has to work from home. Imagine missing the fun of working in an actual office setting, having lunch together, brainstorming in team meetings or at any given random chances in the room. But overall, I am happy that I've come across this program and be part of it.

I was able to win a scholarship to ABI and I am really happy that I got it. The connections and resources that ABI is able to provide are amazing for up and coming creatives that are looking to get their foot in the door. The program is really dedicated to helping you cultivate the meaning relationships necessary to build a strong network and more importantly the way they choose to go about it is so sincere. I have had experience with other programs and it was different. ABI is not only there to assist you in your journey, but they provide a wonderful community throughout that process. My gratitude goes out to the team, thank you mentors, thank you Ginda and Zulfa, and thank you Laura for such a beautiful experience.

My internship this semester was a great learning experience and helped me get closer to achieving my academic goals. The program was very supportive throughout the training and course of the internship, and helped me prepare for and deal with challenges and expectations in the professional field. The connections I got through this program are also extremely valuable and helped me line up another internship right after my first one, and accelerate my creative career.
Music internship - London

Artbound Initiative provided the perfect platform for me to relaunch my London career as the pandemic had affected my time there. The care and attention they take to secure the right placement as well as the superb communication throughout the program is unmatched, I always had someone to talk to and that was the greatest comfort I could have asked for with my move abroad. The placement was the perfect way for me to expand my career in a foreign country, fortify my skills, and expand new areas of knowledge. I loved my time in my placement and I will be forever grateful for this experience!

I'm really grateful because taking part in ABI gave me the nudge I'd always needed to finally move abroad and start my life in a new country. I will always cherish the program for that. Laura is a real powerhouse and any conversation with her feels deeply empowering. Ginda is also very responsive, supportive and overall helpful. I never felt alone, I do still sense the presence of the ABI network around me and I will never stop thanking all the members of the staff for their outstanding patience and support. My internship was very intense! I had the opportunity to meet and work with a wide range of artists as well as the honour to hear their insights on their work, I helped set up and promote different exhibitions, took part in studio visits and even had a pretty fun work trip to Ansbach. You have to put in the work if you want to have an unforgettable, long lasting experience. What's certain is ABI really gives you all the tools and feedback you need to succeed.
Internship

Internship was amazing- I learned so much as to what you should do as an intern and what you shouldn't do. I also learned so much about the design process of creating experiential experience. This will give me confidence before entering the field after I finish my graduate program.
Artbound internship
November 08, 2021by: Christopher Jovanovski - AustraliaProgram: Creative Internships in Sydney
ArtBound Initiative was instrumental in my success in obtaining my internship, but also in helping me become more aware of what companies and people look for in candidates, without this assistance and guidance and meetings to fine tune my portfolios and resume, it would have been a lot harder to get into the industry and make the connections that I know have.
My internship placements with ArtBound Initiative
November 03, 2021by: Celine Huynh - AustraliaProgram: Creative Internships in Sydney
ArtBound Initiative is a great support network to be apart of, they have helped me clarify the career paths best suited for me to enter and how to put it into action. They are really communicative regarding the placement process, informing any opportunities suited to me. As a media arts production student, my first internship placement at Inck Merchandise was not exactly what I had originally set on (due to COVID-19), but it was still a worthwhile experience, allowing me to start video editing in a professional setting for the company's marketing activities and branching out of my retail experience. I am still in contact with them from periodically for any video marketing freelance work they may need, as their main focus in operations are in branded merchandising. After production companies were starting to get busy again and recover from the pandemic effects, ArtBound was able to put me through to Found At Sea, a video production company that is more up my alley. In my time at Found At Sea, I was able to help out with putting together client treatments, creative development, coordinating pre-production (casting, sourcing wardrobe, call sheets, etc.) and being on set. I always look forward to going into the office! I understand that those interested in the ArtBound Initiative may feel iffy about program costs, which is a valid concern - though in my experience, the people (particularly Laura and Ginda) have made it very worthwhile for someone who wasn't even sure if they could even take a step into the industry :) Thank you ABI!
An experience everyone needs to have

In the highly competitive World we live in today, I'm sure most students who graduate from their degree face the stress of finding a job and having to wait months and months to get a response from employers. They ask themselves the frustrating question of "how do I get my foot through the door?" That student was me until I met ABI. Their program changed my life. I feel extremely lucky that I came across their email one day and decided to apply. Ever since then it has been an incredible journey for me. I was given a full scholarship because I applied through my Institute and received free training and coaching from ABI's talented team. I got to meet incredibly humble and uplifting mentors like Laura Bennegadi, who was there for me since day 1 and her advice was always thoughtful and genuine. I was able to update my artist portfolio and get a better sense of what employers are looking for. Being someone with a lot of networking and professional experience, Laura's advice helped me present my work and myself in a more professional way. This was just the beginning. I then got to meet mentors such as Marion Sadavoy, and Sasha Nycole who helped me build a better resume and helped me improve on my portfolio. The most important part was ABI actually got me the internship as soon as I began their program. I didn't have to sit and wait. ABI's program is part of such a great network of large companies and talented creatives that offer a wide range of internship opportunities and social gatherings where you get to meet other interns who are also part of the program. Program coordinators; Zulfa Azzahra and Ginda Pamela were very responsive in all of the social platforms whether it was via email or the ABI chat. This was super helpful because they were always present to help with any questions that I had or if I faced any hiccups along the way. I feel incredibly blessed to be part of such a realistic and credible program. I simply wouldn't be where I am today without ABI. It's the people you surround yourself with that ultimately push you to be your best and I'm glad I got to meet the ABI team and be a part of this program.

Artbound Initiative was just what I needed after graduating from undergrad. The career coaching sessions, portfolio review, and resume help were really beneficial as I am going into the professional world. The ABI team always responded quickly and were very hands on through out the process. My internship was virtual since the company was still working from home. It can be hard to network and fully immerse yourself into the creative field when everything is virtual but that is just how things are right now. Nevertheless, I love how ABI has its own network I can continue to use after my internship.

Art direction internship in Hong Kong with ABI
October 04, 2021by: Ting TingProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Hong Kong
The program was very supportive and helpful throughout the process. I was very lucky and got an offer from TBWA Hong Kong under the help of ABI. The internship experience was both very valuable and enjoyable, with super friendly and awesome colleagues, seniors that are willing to give me real client work, and many opportunities to learn. Unexpectedly, I also got a full time position out of this internship, which is amazing. Given that we're still in a pandemic, I wasn't able to meet as many people or attend as many activities, but the occasional gatherings with the crew and other members were great too!

Building a career within the creative industries had always seemed completely daunting, but Artbound Initiative gave me the tools, knowledge, and experience to launch into my professional journey. They connected me with multiple leaders in the industry and helped me to land an internship in Melbourne, which felt impossible as a graduate living in Perth. Melbourne really feels like an epicentre for the arts and the perfect place for me to start my writing career. Although my internship with ABI is complete, their ongoing guidance and ever-expanding network makes me excited for the places they'll take me in the future.

My experience in Berlin w/ABI
September 15, 2021by: gloomyboyish - VenezuelaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
I interned with ABI this summer 2021 season with artist duo Jeschkelanger. It was a great to have hands-on experience at an artist studio straight out of university. While I was there, they worked mostly with just commissioned pieces so I was able to learn the overall structure from customer to idea scheming to construction to delivery. The environment was very amicable and down to earth. Berlin is a great city for students and rising artists as wherever you go it is filled with both rich history but also a very vivid art scene. I can most definitely say I enjoyed my time there!
My internship in Melbourne
September 15, 2021by: Shruti Randive - AustraliaProgram: Creative Internships in Melbourne
I did my internship in Melbourne, I was placed in an Architectural company called EcoSphere and I got to work alongside the Principal Architect for the span of three months. The Art Bound Initiative team, helped me throughout each and every process. Laura took me through various coaching sessions that provided me with an insight into what I wanted for myself in the future, and also how I can work my way up to achieving my goals. She helped me build my social presense, by giving me advice on having my own website, instagram page to show off my work as well as helping me with my resume and portfolio. For me, travel, or living facilities didn't apply as I live in Melbourne, and I mostly worked from home because that's how the firm I worked at got their work done. However i did build new networks, and new friends through the ABI Melbourne crew, as we would meet up and go to places around Melbourne giving us a chance to get to know other participants. I also made friends with other people that also interned with the same company as me, and they gave me advice on how everything in the company worked, as they have more experience and we were able to support each other through it.

Artbound Initiative was a wonderful program that helped me find an internship in Berlin, as well as helped with the visa and housing process. I really liked the internship placement I got through ABI and I would recommend.

Artbound prepped me with the in’s and out’s of how agencies/ the professional world operates, so it wasn’t a major shock when I entered as an intern. I was provided the resources and knowledge to navigate different situations, especially regarding direct communication with my co-workers. Throughout the internship, Artbound continued to support me with personal check-in’s and introduced me to other creatives who are in a similar stage as me.

Becoming an ArtBound Initiative (ABI) alumni is easily one of the best options I chose, straight after graduating from University. ABI consists of an amazing team that goes above and beyond to make sure that you secure an internship of your preferred choice and time. They provide you with a lot of guidance to get where you want to be; setting up your online presence, resume and interview coaching, professional advice, contacting partnered companies/agencies, and coordinating travel itinerary. ArtBound Initiative will ensure that you stand out.

I learnt way more than I imagined I would
September 02, 2021by: Tash Irsh - Australiai am so glad i joined the ABI remote internship program, it not only allowed me to find a great work experience in the middle of covid, it allowed me also to not be affected by continuous restrictions that came along with it and continue my work and be able to meet deadlines. i was constantly in link with the leaders in ABI program, who were more than happy to discuss any issues that i had and helped me overcome them. i have learnt a great deal of skills through this experience, im more confident of my skills. The program is great not only because of teh internship but also because of teh great deal of networks and conenctions I have made over my experince. I find myself benefitting a fair amount from trainings, and coachings outside of the internship. i would highly recommend the program to anyone who would like to get industry experience, build on their skills and be more confident and ready for professional settings and teh real world.
My time with ABI in Berlin
September 02, 2021by: Susanna264 - United KingdomProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
I had a brilliant experience in Berlin with ABI. I was there for three months, interning as an administrative assistant with ikonoTV - a streaming platform dedicated to art, design, architecture and heritage content. My tasks and responsibilities in the internship were incredibly varied, from market research, to reorganising and restructuring company databases, to writing articles. My supervisor made sure throughout the period that I had a range of tasks and longer-term projects to work on, so that I could organise myself and vary what I was working on day-to-day. This internship has already impacted my career in a meaningful way because I will be continuing to do part-time paid work for IkonoTV now that the internship is over. I could not have asked for a better outcome – joining ABI has directly led me to future employment. ABI is incredibly well-connected, meaning they found me an internship which was perfectly tailored to my strengths and career goals. Without ABI, I would not know where to start finding the kind of role I wanted – they gave me a head-start which I could not have found anywhere else. Socially, the programme was excellent despite covid-19. I was living in an apartment building with many other interns on the programme, who I was able to form meaningful relationships with - my social schedule was always super busy and I had such a fun time.

Really fantastic program! Thought it was too good to be true that ABI would place me in my ideal internship for what I wanted to do, but they really delivered by not only granting me a fantastic internship but also providing me with meaningful opportunities and resources as an aspiring professional. Had a great time in New York both with my colleagues from the company I was interning at as well as with other members of the ABI program. Would highly recommend ABI to anyone looking to enter the creative industry.

Art Bound Initiative was able to gain me an internship with a marketing agency. The internship was rewarding because I worked with and gained feedback from professionals. I was able to learn from coworkers about the differences between the marketing industry compared to the movie and television industry for a motion design artist. My coworkers also helped me learn new skills and tools with Photoshop to create work for clients. Overall, I worked hard to complete work for the agency and was able to gain great connections for future opportunities in the marketing industry.

The programme made my dream come true!
July 15, 2021by: Justyna Masiuk - PolandI have joined the programme in January 2020 and have been a part of the great experience ever since. The ArtBound Initiative has helped me flourish during the most uncertain times. I had an opportunity to intern online for Amey Studio in Paris and secure a part-time position after. In between, I was involved in the Revista de Milenio magazine freelance work. During both of the internships, I have learned how to e-communicate and work with industry professionals and how to present my skills. The ArtBound Initiative has been with me through all my journey, starting with the build-up of my portfolio and answering any questions I had about my intern. The network has not only gave me professional confidence but also great support and help.

ABI is probably the best decision I made for my career. I choose to do this before Covid but was interrupted by the pandemic, and thought it would prove difficult to complete. However ABI managed to seamlessly help me move country, (with flight restrictions), start an internship which has eventually lead me to my first (proper) job and help kickstart my career. They do not only facilitate move and job search but also provide valuable training that I will have and use for the rest of my career. You also become part of a global network which is so useful in the ever changing landscape of creative jobs propelled by the increasing remote work culture brought on by the pandemic. To finish I just want to say how good ABI is and it is quite literally life changing!

Artbound Initiative was an incredible experience that I am so grateful I was able to do. ABI helped me at a time when I felt like I was at a fork in the road, trying to decide what I wanted to do. ABI was able to guide me to the career I am currently pursuing, and help show me specific tools to help me retain the momentum I built. I feel like I left the program having succeeded with all of my goals, and found sustainable techniques to keep growing and developing, both personally and professionally. I also did the program during the COVID-19 pandemic, so the additional challenges I faced with the remote work environment, limited access to activities, and overall mental health concerns were issues ABI supported me with. Moving to New York City hoping for a career in theatre (at a time when Broadway was shut down) felt like an impossible feat, but because of ABI, I was able to complete an internship with new connections, additional work experience in my field, and a clear path to keep pursuing my dreams. I felt like ABI was always there to help if I needed it, but also there to remind me of the importance of my goals and never forget where I am trying to go. The social aspects of ABI were also amazing - I feel like I truly entered a worldwide family, and feel confident that the friends I have made will be friends for life. Artbound Initiative and the whole ABI team are truly inspiring, hardworking, and caring individuals who genuinely want to do what they can to help us succeed. I am so grateful I am now an ABI Alumni and can further learn and pursue my dream career with the skills and experiences ABI, and New York City, gave me.

ArtBound is a fantastic program that I'd recommend to anyone who's able to participate in it. It's helped me become much more confident in both my career trajectory and in myself as an employable individual. The sessions I had with Laura before my internship were so invaluable and helped me build an attractive portfolio and succinct resume. They also allowed me to establish a great working relationship with my employers during my internship, and I felt confident that I would be able to complete tasks to the best of my ability. Ginda was also fantastic at making sure I was on top of all my tasks prior to the internship, and checking in with me during my internship to make sure i was having a great experience.

I am very grateful to have experienced my placement with an Interior Design studio that prioritised my learning, and forced me into new situations that would help my growth in all facets of the industry - including, but not limited to, software techniques and how to present myself to suppliers and other companies. There are so many facets to the industry that I had not realised required specific attention to, and so it has been very useful to be able to see and work on these first hand. I also had countless opportunities to go onto multiple sites and it's super educational seeing the changes made from the drawings I have created. Crazy!

Melbourne is the Arts Capital of Australia, so I was super excited to begin an internship in film here. It was incredibly easy to communicate with Artbound Initiative about what I was looking for in an internship. The coaching sessions with Laura heightened my confidence and allowed me to develop skills that are necessary for interviews and the workplace. Not only that, but the unlimited access to alumni and resources is great. I ended up interning at Ignition Immersive, a production studio specialising in virtual reality and augmented reality, where I worked as both a camera operator and editor. It was an awesome experience.
Learnt how VR/AR is paving the future for apps
March 23, 2021by: Benjamin Thomas - AustraliaProgram: Creative Internships in Melbourne
My internship took place at ignition immersive, an immersive media studio specialising in Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality content creation, production and app development. My main tasks and responsibilities was to assist the Lead 3D Artist in projects with modelling, animating, conceptualising, texturing and implementing assets in game engines. The internship impacted my career through learning another form of the 3D pipeline, app creation. I have learnt 3D for film, TV, games and now - VR/AR applications for media platforms. ArtBound Initiative helped me the most by expanding my view on what a 3D Artist career could be. Not knowing about VR/AR companies and just how involved a 3D artist can be was most surprising and completing them was most rewarding.
Highly recommended!

The ABI team has been really professional in helping me secure an internship despite the COVID situation. I would highly recommend the ABI team if you need assistance in securing an internship (the initial monetary investment was definitely worthwhile). In addition, they've been an invaluable resource in helping me polish my resume, portfolio, and interview skills. Thank you to the ABI team :)

ArtBound initiative helped me gain insights, experience, and connections in three months, which I never thought I would get before joining the program. I found the coaching to be very valuable, and it helped me prepare myself with anything that I need to know before the internship, in which I also receive helpful tips and tricks. I would definitely recommend the program for creatives who would like to gain more experience in the industry!
A persuasive experience
March 04, 2021by: Farrah Nouri - AustraliaProgram: Creative Internships in Sydney
I took an internship within my own city, Sydney. Despite Covid resulting in my last couple of weeks of residing remotely i was willing to make the most of it. I enjoyed my time at persuaders in the first three weeks, i was eager to learn all the methods and tactics within an actual workplace. with fully produced work i was able to discuss with my supervisor what i could apply to my own designs, different perspectives and textures. I wasn't able to enjoy the internship as much I would of liked, specifically around the Christmas time when covid hit Sydney and we were under restrictions to reduce travel. I was able to keep up with the work load, ask my supervisor questions build initiative and broaden my perspective. I believe i was benefited through the information i receive. Communication is an important part of being in the work force, without it, work can barely be accomplished and systematic procedures wouldn't continue so fluidly. So by working remotely despite lack of physical preparedness and social face to face discussion. To work on a remote basis allowed me to develop file preparation and list setups. Though being in my own room felt too distracting. Overall, i enjoyed the internship despite the changes, i learned a lot and was able to connect a lot with my co-workers , understanding their own journeys and how it helped them in where they are today.
A great opportunity
February 12, 2021by: Jacob Taylor - AustraliaProgram: Creative Internships in Sydney
Artbound Initiative provided me a crucial foot in the door to my creative industry, and circumvented the traditional problems of trying to get my voice heard as a student. They trained and prepped me, got me into contact with multiple fantastic companies, which lead to two internships, one of which has lead to some longer term work. The fundamental reversing of the dynamic between folks in the industry and students, so that I had companies asking me for interviews and not vice versa, has made the process of getting work experience far more stress-free than it could've been. Would happily recommend to anyone else.

ArtBound Initiative were very supportive throughout the whole journey. Initially, the preparatory work really set me up to obtain such a cool internship, and the CEO Laura was there to provide great mentorship, guidance and positive energy. When arriving in Berlin, the Program Coordinator Jana was quick to organise meet-ups, allowing me to somewhat establish myself comfortably in Berlin. Overall, ArtBound Initiative were great to have by my side.

After working in the fashion industry for a few years, I was re-evaluating my values and wanted a career change. It was a difficult situation as an international student, but thanks to personal mentorship and guidance by Laura and Ginda, I was introduced to strategy positions and the diversity of NYC-based agencies. I'm so grateful that even during this tumultuous year, ABI did their best to connect me with PI&C - a creative agency focused on brand empathy and values. It was an amazing position that allowed every day to be a learning experience, and I'm so excited for my future at the company! Additionally, the New York ABI crew was so welcoming (s/o Gerardo!) and I've made so many new creative and inspiring friends for life! If you are an aspiring creative who sees themselves thriving in New York, ABI will exceed all your expectations!

Great insight into the creative industry

Joining ArtBound Initiative (ABI) in my final year of college was one of the best decisions I made. As an international student, I was very worried about how I would spend my time after graduation in such a competitive city such as NYC. ABI gave me something to look forward to. Even in the midst of a pandemic, i was able to intern with reflexgroup an amazing creative agency with years worth of experience and a high level of top tier clients in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industries. This program definitely steered me in the right direction and made me tap into my inner strengths some of which i didn't even know I had. Laura Bennegadi, the CEO of the program, and Ginda Pamela one of the program coordinators have helped me immensely throughout the program. They always made it a point to check on each and every participant and did everything in their power to ensure we all had a great experience. I am truly grateful to both of them and the rest of the ABI family for always wishing me and other participants success. If you want to go abroad and want to land a cool internship ABI is definitely the way to go !
Studio internship in Berlin
September 15, 2020by: Pomme_d_api69 - United KingdomProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
A truly life-changing experience working with Jeschkelanger studios in the heart of Berlin's art scene for 8 week this summer. Through the help of ArtBound Initiative, I was placed with a female artist duo who shared in my philosophy of intuitive making, as well as put me in contact with a handful of incredible like-minded creative internationals, with whom we went on organised gallery trips. In terms of the internship itself, I experienced an induction into hands-on craftswomanship and self-marketing: a real apprenticeship of close-collaboration with artists which I would have never had the opportunity of experiencing in my theoretical degree. There is nothing better for a young creative wanting to be fully immersed into their practice through another ways of seeing than ABI.

I recently had the pleasure of going to New York with the Art-bound program. Art-bound is a fantastic company that secures internships for people seeking a pathway into the creative industry. They coached my professional skills, help organised my visa, found my accommodation and ultimately sourced an internship placement in the TV industry at the heart of New York. While I was there they organised events, constantly checked in and supported me and overall ensured that I was having a meaningful experience. I highly recommend this program to anyone in the creative industry looking to find a pathway in. You won't find a more supportive and helpful internship program around!
Invaluable experience and opportunity

Artbound is the perfect program for an internship in the creative field. They connected me with a distinguished company in New York, which gave me the opportunity to work on real projects for clients straight out of university. Not only does Artbound provide incredible opportunities but they really care about you and your experience. It can be quite daunting to move to a new city in a different country but Artbound assists with the visa, organising accommodation, etc. They also connect you to other program participants, who are in the same boat as you, which makes the transition really smooth and easy. Not only does this internship give you a competitive edge industry wise, but the experience itself is invaluable.

I was lucky enough to do an ABI program in New York that allowed me to do an internship for a production company at a young age, straight out of university. Not only was the internship an incredibly rewarding experience, but ABI helped so much with trying to get everything together - Visa help, putting me in touch with companies, coaching me, giving me various tips. Laura Bennegadi was wonderful in every capacity, and while in NYC, Gerardo was a constant contact and made sure that fellow ABI participants caught up and got to do incredible things together. I know that the life skills I learned and the experience I got from the ArtBound initiative will stay with me for the rest of my life, and I believe it's a true gamechanger for anyone interested in creative fields.

I completed an internship in New York with the help of ABI. I felt supported through the entire process - which I found particularly helpful during the confusing visa application process and of course during the big transition to living overseas. The company I was placed with fit perfectly with my career objectives and I learned more than I could have ever hoped for. Most of all, Artbound encouraged me to build a personal and professional network both in Australia and in New York. I had the time of my life and I have ABI to thank for that.
Good professional exposure and best gateway to work in the art & design industry
April 01, 2020by: Chay Thawaranont - ThailandProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
My experience with ABI is tremendously valuable. It was the best 4-month internship I ever had in my life. Life in New York City can be very isolated if you don't know who to hang out with and who to connect with. ABI gave me opportunities to connect with like-minded people and connect me with young professionals who can guide and mentor me towards my goal in my career. I would say that having a strong community and relationship is the most important thing to advance in every industry. ABI has a solid network in New York and helps connect easily through its network portal. I'm very surprised at how Laura, founder of the program, could manage to distribute her time for every participant to give a personal mentorship. ABI is a perfect mentorship program for young professionals to grow and connect globally in the creative industry.

Without ABI, I wouldn’t have met like-minded people who are just as passionate and creative at this age. I had the opportunity to form a network that helped not only push professional aspirations, but also meaningful friendships. My NYC internship has given me a step in the creative industry far earlier than I would have ever imagined. ABI catered to my goals and with this personalised experience, helped make the integration - visa, portfolio and resume workshops, interview training - as seamless as possible. They helped connect me with an internship opportunity that I would've never been able to gain this early on in my career. Through this internship, it helped answer questions about what I want to achieve and learn even more in my career, which is an invaluable experience that’s helped shaped my passion in this industry.
Really well organised program that was the greatest experience of my life
March 02, 2020by: DylanR751 - AustraliaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
Just returned from NY a couple days ago and all I have to say is great things about it & ABI. I was nervous going into the program for obvious reasons but they made the whole process a breeze. They organised or helped organise pretty much everything from the accommodation to the visa to the placement so you have to worry about as little as possible. Plus, the CEO of the company is literally a phone call away at all times, is super responsive and never once did it seem like I was bothering her. On top of this the network of local people they set you up with is amazing and super useful to have while you're in the city. I could detail my unreal time in New York but I feel like New York speaks for itself; it was an amazing experience but at the end of the day without ABI providing the platform for me to get out there I wouldn't have had any of it. Beforehand I had my doubts about wasting time, money etc but I can say confidently that there is not a bone in my body that regrets the last 4 months and I can only recommend that you go ahead and apply to ABI, every other ABI member I met has said the same thing; you just gotta do it.
Berlin program review
February 27, 2020by: Amanda - United KingdomProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
During my time in Berlin, I was privileged to work in a gallery. Day to day responsibilities included, writing and responding to emails, phone calls, deliveries, and the post. As well as compiling documents and engaging with visitors. As time progressed, I was trusted to develop from these initial areas, which placed me in a position to learn more. The program offers full support with an orientation shortly after your arrival, which is essential for getting around and feeling at ease in a new country. I was extremely pleased throughout my experience living in Berlin, from the support and guidance offered through the program, to immersing myself in a new culture and maintaining these connections.
Wonderful opportunity

I was placed at Freunde von Freunden, an online magazine that produces online multi-media content based in Berlin, Germany. From portraits, articles, podcasts, events and mix-tapes FvF seems to have a stake in a tonne of different projects which for me, was extremely enticing. I was an in-house audio production intern and was given the opportunity to take on a multitude of tasks in this field. From editing, mixing, mastering podcasts, sound design for video portraits, composition & production of bespoke musical pieces for company showreels & promo materials. There was never a dull moment! I had flexibility and freedom to work in the office or from home depending on the task and felt both valued and supported by the company. The office is situated in the heart of the ultra-trendy Kreuzberg neighbourhood of Berlin making for some cool adventures when going for lunch or commuting. This internship has been instrumental in expanding my network in Europe as well as helping me broaden my professional skills. Due to the varied tasks I was asked to work on, I was pushed out of my comfort zone and challenged to take on projects I never thought I would when in university. I am proud of the work I’ve done with FvF and made some valuable connections that have already helped me further my career, as well as possibly freelance work in the near future! With the help of Laura from ArtBound Initiative, my CV and portfolio are polished and refined. I also have been taught the best way to approach interviews with prospective employers in the creative sector, and business etiquette. I have been advised in ways I never thought about before starting ABI’s programme. From how to promote your work, how to network, even how to manage your social media to be more employable! ABI’s network of interns also look out for each other and do whatever they can to help you settle in your new city. From banking advice, city registration or even where to find the best restaurants or events, they’ve got your back!

Applying for the ABI program was probably the best decision I ever made! I had the chance to work for a prestigious company right after graduating, and gained a lot of professional experience which isn't always easy in the creative industry. ABI is also very helpful with taking care of the administrative side of moving abroad, like the internship visa and finding housing, and provides a network of other young creatives that became really good friends, which made living in a new country so much easier. I'm sure the working experience and network I gained here will be useful for the rest of my career.

Excellent internship experience

Artbound Initiative has given me the fantastic opportunity of interning at The Studio NYC, a very reputable animation and design studio based in New York. The staff from Artbound were dedicated to providing me with the best opportunity based on my interests and career goals. Even before my application, the staff were happy to answer any questions about the program. During this internship I was able to grow and learn professionally, which will broaden my prospects in the workforce and allow me to present a very competitive resume and portfolio. Additionally, Artbound provides a network of other creative people to connect to within this program, which makes the experience doubly as valuable as an internship alone. Furthermore, this network of people become your friends while overseas. Living alone in a new city can be daunting, so having this group is a wonderful thing. Overall, I have had a truly exceptional experience working with Artbound Initiative. They really help guide you through the process of getting an internship in a field you will enjoy, as well as offering professional advice and insights into the creative industry as a whole. This is a wonderful and personalised experience for each participant, and I highly recommend it!
Thank you Isabelle and congratulations again for getting extended in your internship with The Studio NYC. We've heard great feedback form your supervisors and very proud to have you in our network.
ArtBound Initiative has helped me so much!

I was placed with Momentum Worldwide located in Kunstquartier Bethanien, Berlin. They are a non for profit gallery that centres around time-based art and video art. It was founded by Rachel Rits-Volloch back in 2. I ran both their Instagram and Facebook pages, creating content and establishing a media schedule that promoted their exhibition Water(Proof). I also helped organise the exhibitions, contacting artists on a daily basis. I also got the opportunity to interview artists in their studios as another way to provide content for the gallery.I really enjoyed this as it was a way to network and establish connections, but also a way for me to improve my writing skills. My confidence has grown so much because of this internship. While before I would have said that I think I am good at something, I can now say that I am good at it. I have also met some amazing people in Berlin, through meeting the other interns in ABI but also with my work in Momentum Worldwide. Having these connections will help me find future internships or work. From helping me find a great internship placement to getting the chance to meet and network with amazing people, ABI has helped me in so many different ways. I am more comfortable working in an arts environment, with skills that prove that I am capable of good work. The idea of moving through this industry is no wonder daunting. With connections now abroad, I can start to create that professional network that is so vital in this industry.
Thank you Rose for this amazing review! So happy that you've built such great relationships with your supervisors and fellow ABI participants!
Reliable global internship experience especially for arts and media field!

I learnt ABI from my school and had my NYC internship from, and it's the best one among my four internships at college! The team comes with huge support in cultural exploration and shows you around in the city with museums and cultural heritages, while sets us up with other internship participants with regular meetings and keep you feeling included in the city, as you know it can be rough to know nobody in a place you're trying to begin your life here. This is also an important thing as you're building your professional network with other participants in the fields here with great potential. It also comes with the accommodation recommendatin so you can go for decent places for your stay in the city! I'm so happy with the experience here as the team has everything taken care of and it does make my internship here reassured! I don't feel like you'll be left out with such arrangements and it really feels great to be reassured with someone checking you out from time to time. I have nothing to complain here frankly saying.
Thank you for this amazing review Anson and so glad you got to extend your internship with Chimney Group! We've heard amazing feedback from them about your performance there.

Without the help of Art Bound, who was there to help me every step of the process and during my time in New York, I would definitely not have been able to intern at such a prestigious company and gain the experience and knowledge I now have. My time as an intern has directed my career path and I have also met such great people I wouldn't have had the opportunity to meet otherwise.

It was the most incredible experience, it allowed me to grow so much stronger as a designer and as a creative. It gives you all the support that you need while exposing you to a new culture and one of the best advertising agencies. Artbound does a great job at mentoring you before, during and after the internship. They introduce you to career changing experiences specifically in the field that you want to pursue. I was able to work directly with the creative director and have first hand experience on the entire design process from research to designs. Outside of work you are able to experience an incredible culture and city, with everything from exhibits, hiking, nightlife and amazing food. The connections that ABI provided me on a personal and professional level have been invaluable. I don’t know how I would have begun to navigate moving to a new city without the support of the ABI program. Through the community of alumni and current interns, I have made incredible, genuine friendships with like-minded people. ABI connected me with an internship opportunity that I would have not been able to find on my own. In my time as an intern for SCOPE, I have grown as a designer and an individual. I now feel equipped and confident as a professional creative in a global context, and am excited to carry the skills I have learned through my internship with me into an exciting career. The Artbound team were friendly and helpful and want the best outcome for every indivual in the program. It is a very personalised experience which I am so grateful I took part in.

Thank you for this great review Fion. We are so proud of you for getting hired as a junior position by the company we placed you with. ArtBound Initiative is all about fostering those types of connections. We are looking forward to hearing all about your new position.
An opportunity to make the most of unique arts networks
April 21, 2019by: Madeleine A - AustraliaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
ABI came along at a time when I was having great difficulty moving ahead in my early career within the arts in Australia. Offering the opportunity to gain international experience through a tailored internship, I was paired with an independent art house with an artist residency program in Berlin. This has been an invaluable experience, allowing me to utilize my skills as well as take initiative and explore varied responsibilities as a valued member of the team at my placement art house. The ABI program renewed my motivation and determination to forge a more defined arts career, and the support through the process of pre-departure (visa, travel arrangements, required documents) was excellent. As a result of my internship in Berlin, coordinated and supported by ABI, I am now pursuing a Freelance Arts Manager career in Berlin longer-term. I would recommend ABI for anyone who is seeking a more dynamic professional internship experience, and who is ready to apply themselves to make the most of the invaluable creative networks ABI provides.
Thank you fort his review Madeleine. We are so excited that you got your freelance visa and are now staying in Berlin. We are excited to hear what's next for you and the new perspective of Cultural Management you will be bringing to this amazing city.
ArtBound Initiative
April 12, 2019by: Sasha Taylor - AustraliaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
Really worthwhile if this is financially feasible for you. Expert advice throughout the entire visa process, honest and productive portfolio feedback, and a solid community of people to access during your internship. ArtBound acts as a great source of knowledge and support, but it's important to be independent and make the experience your own. Limited healthcare options (mostly because of US insurance policy) so if you're interning in New York, make sure you understand what your insurance does and does not provide and for how long.
Thank you Sasha for this great and comprehensive review. The arts organization Printed Matter had only great feedback about your internship there. They said you were an outstanding intern! We are looking forward to helping you further in developing your career.
They helped me get established and now I live in Berlin full-time
March 04, 2019by: Ena - Meghan Lefeber - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
Not only did ABI find me a great placement but also so, so much more. They helped me get my visa, and then paired me with an amazing partner to get my two year freelance visa. They made the transition seamless with picking me up at airport, taking the time to listen to my needs, and helping me get established here.
Thank you Ena and so glad to know you are well established now in Berlin!
Internship at DTE studio
March 02, 2019by: Elizabeth Lee - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
This semester I'm interning at DTE Studio, a creative agency that offers branding, creative, and digital services for clients who seek to strengthen their audience. This internship has really helped me gain valuable experience. I've been conducting research on client competition, gaining insightful knowledge on how to strategize and build a client’s brand, and am learning how to target specific audiences through multi-media platforms. If it wasn't for ABI, I would never have gotten my dream internship! ABI has also given me a community filled with other participants and alumni from the program. We have frequent gatherings and events that allow me to make great connections and new friends from all over the world! I highly recommend ABI—the team is very caring and dedicated to their participants. I cannot thank them enough for giving me such great experiences and for opening the door to help me pursue my career goals.
Thank you so much Liz! We are glad to hear that your internship has been a game changer for you and hope you will leverage all the connections that you made there. Proud to have you in our alumni network!
Internship in a non-profit art organisation in New York
February 14, 2019by: Nolan Huang - ChinaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
I've done my internship with Harvestworks, which is a non-profit digital art organization located in downtown Manhattan. My main responsibilities were archiving media art collection, providing technical support to artist and videography. This internship helps me to understand the daily routines of an art organization and I began to know how a non-profit organization works and the history of electronic art in the US. Not only it expands my theoretical knowledge about new media art, but also provides a solid foundation on my career in the future. ABI is supportive of the visa application process and housing suggestion which makes the application process much easier. They also guide me to review my resume, which is very helpful for my future career development. This program is a great opportunity for creative major students who want to have oversea working experience.
Thank you so much Nolan for this great review. Your company Harvestworks was so pleased to have you intern with them. Glad you were able to enjoy your time in NYC and that you were able to meet a lot of artists and professionals in your field. Good luck for your next step in Shanghai!
In-house designer internship at SCOPE art show
February 07, 2019by: Vanessa Hung - AustraliaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
I have always wanted to intern overseas and ABI made it much more achievable by guiding me through every step! They simplified the visa application process and took care of all complicated logistics, mentored me on the development of my portfolio, and connected me with other like-minded individuals and professionals. I never felt like I was alone during my stay in NYC and it was very reassuring to know that there's a friendly community that I could reach out to at any time. The internship itself was challenging but rewarding, an irreplaceable experience where I learnt and grew a lot as a person and as a designer.
Thanks for your feedback Vanessa! We know that Scope Art Show will miss you, they were very happy with your performance. It was also such a great opportunity that I paid for your flights and accommodation to attend the Miami Art Fair. We hope you'll be back in NYC soon and look forward to hearing more about what's next after your Honors degree!
Jumpstarted my career
February 03, 2019by: Shadi Rosenow - GermanyProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
ABI’s program has made establishing a career in a foreign country extremely easy. They had me lined up for various interviews and managed to get me a placement within a few days of the application process. I’m now employed full time at the studio I was placed in. Career advancement is only a small part of what they offer us, I was regularly contacted to meet with directors and producers 1on1 as well as studio/gallery visits. Their program is designed to cover more than just the basics, offering us a large network, regularly checking in on us, and being there to help with any issues, be it professional, or personal. It truly is a full package and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to kickstart a career in a new place.
Thank you Shadi, we are so proud that you were able to get hired after your internship. Your hard work and talent really paid off, it is not easy to get opportunities in your field so we are glad we were able to open the door for you. For the rest, you are the one who made it happen! Looking forward to hearing more about your job and your life in Berlin.
My review

I’m working with Eric Forman in his studio in New Lab. My main responsibilities are to help design, manufacture, and test the models. Doing this internship in New York City is a great opportunity for my future career. This internship is a great way for me because it's giving me the opportunity to work with artists, designers, and engineers.
Thank you Ivan for leaving us a review. Working alongside Eric Forman must have been a great experience as he is such an established artist in New York. We are also very excited about your fashion photography works and look forward to seeing your photos in more magazines. Congratulations again for being featured in Vogue Italy, you made us all very proud!
Learned a lot
December 11, 2018by: Zhaojie Su - ChinaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
I am really thankful that I had an opportunity to work in an amazing studio called THE STUDIO NYC. This is the first time I worked in the United States. I learned a lot and worked on improving my flaws throughout this internship. I am so happy to work with them. Working within a team in The Studio has helped me develop organizational skills to move projects along and respect tight deadlines. All the experiences I had during this internship produced a profound and lasting impact on my career development and future studying.
Thank you Jay for leaving us this review. We hope that your time with the STUDIO in NYC was a game changing experience. They are top notch studio so we hope it will be a major competitive edge for your resume. We are excited to hear what is next for you and wish you the best for your upcoming Master degree!
Wonderful opportunity
October 01, 2018by: Anjie Beltran - PhilippinesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Hong Kong
I recently finished my 3-month graphic design internship with an excellent advertising agency in busy Hong Kong, and the ArtBound Initiative team has been great accommodating me before, during, and after my program. They provide access, where there is usually little or none at all, to creative opportunities, growing experiences, and global networks. With the support on all sides, it's a good chance to build a solid foundation for yourself. It was a hard process, but it was also a rewarding step in the creative industry, and the ArtBound Initiative team stuck by me for the journey. No matter where you are personally and professionally, I would recommend considering their internship programs.
Thank you Anjie for leaving us this great review. We are so thrilled that McCann Hong Kong has hired you again for a paid internship opportunity. We are hoping that it will be a way for you to get hired there or move to another agency. McCann is a world leading agency so we are very proud that you are doing your debut in such a great place. Looking forward to hearing more about your Hong Kong adventures!

ABI is the agency to go to if you decide to go into the arts field - local or abroad. Their support prior to your departure will help you throughout your career, not just the internship. The activities they provide to get in touch with the community there are rewarding too. Good luck!
Thank you very much Tabia. We are thrilled to hear that you already got a job with an art fair as soon as you went back to Hong Kong! The gallery and art space that you worked with both told us you performed very well during your internship, thank you for putting in hard work and representing us in a great way. We are looking forward to hearing more about your next steps in the arts industry.
Internship in a production company in New York
June 04, 2018by: MorganeProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
I've done my internship with Jean Doumanian Productions, which is a production company that produces theaters, movies, and TV series. My internship title was called Script/Coverage Development, and my main responsibilities were to review incoming material (pilots, screenplays, books, etc.) and provide feedback about their commercial potential. ABI helped me secure the internship I wanted and was very supportive regarding the visa process. This abroad experience is a huge opportunity that'll boost my career and help me get my dream job.

I did an internship at Reflexgroup, an international creative agency in New York for 4 months. I ended up getting a paid opportunity with them and they even extended my visa to a year! ArtBound Initiative assisted me all the way with getting this internship. They suggested a great selection of companies that fitted my expectations, helped me in the application process, assisted me during my J1 internship visa application process, and also got me housing in New York. ArtBound Initiative made the whole process simple, and most of all, they made it happen!

I loved it!
October 17, 2017by: Hugh Copeland - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Hong Kong
The experience I had abroad in Hong Kong was epic! Coming from a city like New York, I thought I knew what fast paced was but I was very wrong. The bustling night life and work environment took me by storm. I loved it! The experience of it all gave me a chance to develop ideas and get a taste of what the international market is like. While abroad I was able to make tons of friends and create professional relationships. This opportunity and experience wouldn't have been possible without ABI.
4 months internship in Residency Unlimited
October 06, 2017by: Thisby Cheng - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
It was a pleasure to work in the most progressive artist residency program in the world. Residency Unlimited is an amazing platform that connects everyone in the global art scene. My first day at work was amazing as I met the Photo London winner Mimi from Kenya and the Young Visual Artists Awards winners from the central and Eastern European countries. I was so excited to engage in various art projects with different artists, especially the one about Halabja Chemical attack by an Iranian artist. Also, I am glad to attend the benefit dinner as the major fundraising event of a non profit organization. I met lots of renowned artists and art professionals during the night. And the photos I took were listed in the CULTURED art magazine as well. Being here in New York and be a part of the vivid art scene is like a dream to me.

Project coordinator at Hong Kong contemporary art foundation
September 27, 2017by: Emma Reinhardt - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Hong Kong
I was one of the first to be placed by ArtBound Initiative in Hong Kong. I cannot express enough how much I gained in experience from the program. Although only with the foundation for 7 weeks, I learned a lot of new skills and acquired a sizable network of contacts. ArtBound helped me through every step of the process, from tailoring my resume to interviewing for the position with Hong Kong Contemporary Art Foundation. This program is the boost I needed to further excel in the art world.

ABI connected me with the perfect internship for me to get started in my career. Working at Con Artist Collective was a great way to be welcomed in the city. I am expanding my network, meeting exceptional artists and people through there. Events hosted by ABI also helped me meet people from around the world ! My favorite excursion so far was going to Dia Beacon on a nice late summer afternoon.
ArtBound Initiative internship in Berlin
September 10, 2017by: Ryan Khosla - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
The experience was amazing from start to finish. From the coaching process and finding an artist to be placed with to finding an apartment. Everyone at ArtBound made it that much easier to make the transition to Germany and also provided a ton of support once I was there from helping me to find my way around the city to setting me up with studio visits to giving me the scoop on what was happening in the city. It was truly an experience that changed my life and ArtBound helped with that in every way!
Contemporary art magazine internship- Berlin, Germany
August 28, 2017by: Carrie - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
The Artbound team helped me tailor my resume and feel more confident about going out into the work force. It also helped give me contacts and experience in the contemporary art world. The Artbound team helped me feel comfortable when I was in Berlin by setting up my housing and providing information about metro tickets, health insurance, etc. The team set up a couple of events where I got to meet with curators and artists based in Berlin. I also had a lot of free time to either travel or go to events in Berlin on the weekends. I worked with a company called Bpigs. The people I worked with were really friendly and welcoming. I was able to learn a lot about the administrative side of the contemporary art world as well as the ins and outs of publishing an online magazine. Overall, the Artbound Initiative program provided an exciting and fun learning experience for me this summer, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in going into a creative field.
Independent experience
August 18, 2017by: Georgia Steele - GermanyProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
Loved every minute, what a great way to learn about what it's like to be a full time artist. Spending two months assisting Erik Schmidt was a real eye opener into what it's like to be an artist and the industry. Art Bound was so great setting it all up and teaching me vital information. The Skype sessions within ABI prepared me for what was to come and made me aware of things that I didn't realise were important in my art practice. Berlin is a stunning city an easy place for a half way home! Loved it

Berlin is where you want to be!
November 23, 2016by: Kristian Marciano - New YorkProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
Did a 2 month internship in an art foundation in Berlin this fall. This city is the most amazing place, it's cheap, easy going, it's underground. ArtBound's staff was great, gave us recommendations about events to go to where I saw mostly locals, I felt like an insider. We visited artists in their studio which was really cool, I kept in touch with one of them! My only regret was that 2 month felt a bit short, I think if I had to do it again, I would do the 3 month internship program to get a longer training and enjoy the city more.
THE internship program if you're in the arts!
November 14, 2016by: Laura - United StatesProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in New York
ArtBound got me a great internship in a theater producing office in NYC in the fall. Having an internship for a Broadway producer was a dream come true for me! My ArtBound's advisor, who used to be a theater producer, gave me advices before I started and also during my time at the office when I had any issues or questions. I highly recommend this program for anyone who's interested in having a work experience in Theater or in the performing arts in NYC. Also, just being in New York for three months was THE best!

Built a great network through ArtBound!

ArtBound found me an 3 month internship with a gallery in Berlin last summer. My supervisors were awesome and we stayed in touch and I met really cool artists. ArtBound's advisors took the time to get to know my personality better before suggesting this internship and it was right on! I asked to stay in my own place so they found me a studio in Kreuzberg. They organized studio visits of cool artists and a gallery tour during my stay. Miss Berlin!
AWESOME PROGRAM!
November 10, 2016by: Jayne Liao - ChinaProgram: ArtBound Initiative - Creative Internships in Berlin
I had the best time in Berlin working for a contemporary art gallery for 2 months. The ArtBound team is so cool and dynamic, had always the coolest recommendations for places to go and events, they made me feel like I was a real Berliner and not a tourist. The gallery I worked at was super welcoming and took the time to teach me the job of gallery assistant. I stayed in a private room in a shared apartment with a cool Berliner, which also helped me a lot to make friends there. Now I want to move to Berlin so bad!

I was always very drawn to American media production. I grew up watching American TV shows and movies, and I was fascinated by how they were created. As a child, I often researched behind-the-scenes processes, which exposed me to American culture and values. Over time, I developed a deep appreciation for their creativity, diversity, and innovation. I love the culture, I admire the people, and I wanted to experience life in a completely different environment. Going abroad was my way of stepping out of my comfort zone, facing new challenges, and growing as a person. I wanted to meet people from different backgrounds, improve my communication skills, and gain experiences that would shape me both personally and professionally.
