Intern Remotely with Creative Companies

Through ArtBound I got paired with Is+At, a branding and marketing company based in New York. ArtBound helped to prepare me for my internship by giving courses and clear direction in how to succeed in an internship/workplace no matter the atmosphere. They have continued to give me support leading up to, during, and after my internship. ArtBound goes above and beyond to give everyone the best chance in professional settings and increase their chance of success in the creative industry.

I went through the experience Remotely from Maryland. I got paired up with Vilpa Films which is a studio in Dubai. I was able to do all my work for them from Home. I got to meet with some of the other interns from Art Bound and get to see what they have been working on. I would recommend this program for anyone interested in getting your foot into the door. My interests was into working in the animation industry and I was fortunate enough to be interning for a studio that is working on their own animated series right at the beginning so I was able to contribute to things such as pre-production research, design icons and logos that were used in promotional material. The best part was getting credited on IMDB so it is a huge bonus that I am able to show that one my resume and talk about it with future employers. Also I think this program is a better route then just going to a university and getting a degree at least for people, who like myself want to work in the animation industry. Were professionals look more at your portfolio and work then a degree.

Under the Artbound Initiative Programme, I was assigned as a remote Communications/Writing intern for Vilpa Films, a production company. Before my internship, I was provided with some courses on how to prepare my resume, interview tips, as well as actual meetings with industry experts in fields I was interested in (eg the film industry). During my actual internship, I was given a variety of article types to write about concerning various projects that Vilpa Films was embarking on, such as their original animated series. I managed to learn many skills such as communication with my supervisor who was overseas, while being supported by the ABI team through regular check-ins and informational posts.

As a current member of the ABI alumni community, I had such a blast as an ABI participant in 2025. In the span of 1 year, I respectively did two internships: a Magazine Editorial Internship and a Creative Writer Internship. Both taught me so much and allowed me to gain more confidence as an aspiring writer. Additionally, I gained a variety of important lessons and skills through the ABI Academy. These experiences combined have allowed me to grow, evolve, and become a better intern! Thank you, ABI!

I worked in projects different from my area but that led me into new passions and abilities. I can say I had grown so much in my internship, developing a bigger mindset and responsibility in my work. The experience with ABI is something that every student should go through before stepping into the big industry world

It was the best work experience I’ve ever had. I couldn’t have ended up in a better internship; it was a perfect match with the company I joined. By the end of my internship, they even hired me as a freelancer. My manager was incredibly patient with me and taught me so much.

This program really changed my life, I was looking for opportunities to boost my career and this program was just what I needed. I'm so thankful with this and happy to have taken the decision of applying in the first place.

My Artbound Initiative internship course was an amazing way to develop my connections and real-world experience. The design industry is a difficult environment to get your foot into, but with ABI I have been able to develop my resume, portfolio, and experience in a way to really benefit my odds. Everyone at ABI that I interacted with were great people, all putting effort into supporting me, teaching, and making me feel comfortable with my internship and future endeavours.

The opportunity with Artbound is one that I truly think no one can really miss out on! As some one who had a struggle to figure out their own life post graduation especially in the creative industries, Artbound allowed me to see the opportunities that arose from those whilst refining my skills for future employers. If you also feel stuck in your own situation, why not give this a shot?

ArtBound Initiative has been a transformative journey for me. From honing my creative skills to gaining invaluable real-world experience, this program opened doors I never knew existed. The guidance, mentorship, and exposure I received were second to none. If you're passionate about the arts, this is the platform to propel your career. I had a time of my life!

My introduction to ABI was one that was a bit unconventional. I was a gap-year student hailing from a relatively small town in North Carolina. Despite that, I had big dreams - dreams that I was committed to bringing into fruition. My experience working not only with the ABI network, but also those who I had the pleasure of meeting during my internship, has been truly insightful. Aside from broadening my world-view, this experience has definitely put my strengths and weaknesses into perspective. I feel like I've become more wise as a result of everything that has occurred throughout the length of the program, and it's for that reason that I'm so grateful.

It was a very beneficial experience and I would recommend ArtBound Initiative to anyone wishing to begin exploring their career options with an internship. ABI was quick to assist me in finding an internship placement in such short a timeframe. I appreciated the mentoring and input from the coaches, who assisted me in improving my resume and portfolio content with one-on-one feedback. The team was also very responsive and ensured that transitioning into a new internship was a smooth experience.

ABI and the ABI team gave me a lot of new skills and experience that I can take into my career as an artist. Not only did I learn how to get an internship, but I learned how to maneuver and market myself in the artworld. Thanks to ABI, I also made some incredible connections with other creatives. I did a virtual internship with a painter overseas. In this internship I was responsible for a lot of behind the scenes work in uploading pieces to sell, compiling a portfolio, etc. This gave me insight into what goes into being an artist and selling your work. The ABI team was incredibly helpful when I needed it. My program coordinator, Jason, was very helpful and attentive. Generally, the ABi team does really well in responding, and they expect the same from you. They answered any and all questions I had without belittling me, and were happy to help.

I completed a virtual internship with this program and was fortunate enough to have it funded by my University. I found the pre-internship training, including resume, job interview and career coaching, very useful. The internship itself was a great experience and gave me something to add to my portfolio. ArtBound definitely has great reach when it comes to providing companies to intern with and I was lucky enough to intern with a reputable business. The downside is that most of these internships are not paid which can feel exploitative. I also felt that the admin team could've been more attentive. Nevertheless, ArtBound provided me with a great internship that provided great career experience.

The ABI internship programme was so great at helping me launch into the creative industries. I've learnt so much in my script development internship and these are lessons I'll be able to carry with me for the future. For an industry notorious for being closed off or hard to break into, ABI made it accessible for me to connect to so many talented and established creatives in the industry. The ABI team, especially Laura, Zulfa, and Alif, made my journey super easy. Any question or concern I had I could address with them and they'd help me out. It made the overall virtual experience less daunting because I knew I had a support system there.

Though my internship was held virtually, I still had an immersive experience in the animation industry. My interest lies in the creative development of television shows and was able to gain insight into the writing/brainstorming process. I am grateful to have made connections with professionals and other interns who share the same interests in storytelling.

As someone who was a bit lost after graduating I can say with certainty that joining the program in Art Bound Initiative helped start my career. It gave me the chance to connect with incredible people who later gifted me the chance to work with them. Thanks ABI!

This was a great opportunity. ArtBound offers helpful, up-to-date, pre-internship advice. Even after the program had ended I found myself returning to those notes. Everyone is so accessible and kind. They were also supporting me during the internship process with any additional questions I had or problems that arose.

When I first joined, I had no idea what to expect, but I've been having a great time! Everyone in the program is so kind and helpful, and the learning system was extremely helpful, especially the professional portfolio and resume reviews! They matched me with a great company too; I'm currently an intern at Braven Films, and I'm loving the experience!

I found myself in an amazing environment, every coach helped me and followed me at their best possibilities. I learned a lot, not only internship/work related things but also and most importantly how to deal with things outside job related themes.
