Multifaceted and Eye-Opening Experience at ArtBound Initiative
February 12, 2026by: May Alzaben - Saudi ArabiaAs a current member of the ABI alumni community, I had such a blast as an ABI participant in 2025. In the span of 1 year, I respectively did two internships: a Magazine Editorial Internship and a Creative Writer Internship. Both taught me so much and allowed me to gain more confidence as an aspiring writer. Additionally, I gained a variety of important lessons and skills through the ABI Academy. These experiences combined have allowed me to grow, evolve, and become a better intern! Thank you, ABI!
I had a very enriching experience, ArtBound open my way into a new world in the industry.
January 13, 2026by: dilcia alvarado - HondurasI worked in projects different from my area but that led me into new passions and abilities. I can say I had grown so much in my internship, developing a bigger mindset and responsibility in my work. The experience with ABI is something that every student should go through before stepping into the big industry world
I finished my internship with more skills than I ever imagined.
November 12, 2025by: Alesa Ruanova - United StatesIt was the best work experience I’ve ever had. I couldn’t have ended up in a better internship; it was a perfect match with the company I joined. By the end of my internship, they even hired me as a freelancer. My manager was incredibly patient with me and taught me so much.
Internship for one of the biggest production companies!
April 02, 2025by: Alejandro Ivan Vilchis Palacios - MexicoThis program really changed my life, I was looking for opportunities to boost my career and this program was just what I needed. I'm so thankful with this and happy to have taken the decision of applying in the first place.
ABI Internship Experience
June 05, 2024by: Cooper Jarrold - AustraliaMy Artbound Initiative internship course was an amazing way to develop my connections and real-world experience. The design industry is a difficult environment to get your foot into, but with ABI I have been able to develop my resume, portfolio, and experience in a way to really benefit my odds. Everyone at ABI that I interacted with were great people, all putting effort into supporting me, teaching, and making me feel comfortable with my internship and future endeavours.
Re-discovery myself through a whole new lens.
January 26, 2024by: Maddie Aulich - AustriaThe opportunity with Artbound is one that I truly think no one can really miss out on! As some one who had a struggle to figure out their own life post graduation especially in the creative industries, Artbound allowed me to see the opportunities that arose from those whilst refining my skills for future employers. If you also feel stuck in your own situation, why not give this a shot?
A Life-Changing Journey!
September 23, 2023by: Collin Cadet - United StatesArtBound Initiative has been a transformative journey for me. From honing my creative skills to gaining invaluable real-world experience, this program opened doors I never knew existed. The guidance, mentorship, and exposure I received were second to none. If you're passionate about the arts, this is the platform to propel your career. I had a time of my life!
An invaluable experience meant for the books
June 28, 2023by: Carolyn Rose-Grayson - United StatesMy introduction to ABI was one that was a bit unconventional. I was a gap-year student hailing from a relatively small town in North Carolina. Despite that, I had big dreams - dreams that I was committed to bringing into fruition. My experience working not only with the ABI network, but also those who I had the pleasure of meeting during my internship, has been truly insightful. Aside from broadening my world-view, this experience has definitely put my strengths and weaknesses into perspective. I feel like I've become more wise as a result of everything that has occurred throughout the length of the program, and it's for that reason that I'm so grateful.

Great access to practical work experience
June 19, 2023by: Gia Portelli - AustraliaIt was a very beneficial experience and I would recommend ArtBound Initiative to anyone wishing to begin exploring their career options with an internship. ABI was quick to assist me in finding an internship placement in such short a timeframe. I appreciated the mentoring and input from the coaches, who assisted me in improving my resume and portfolio content with one-on-one feedback. The team was also very responsive and ensured that transitioning into a new internship was a smooth experience.
Really great virtual internship opportunity
May 02, 2023by: Mikey Milligan - United StatesABI and the ABI team gave me a lot of new skills and experience that I can take into my career as an artist. Not only did I learn how to get an internship, but I learned how to maneuver and market myself in the artworld. Thanks to ABI, I also made some incredible connections with other creatives. I did a virtual internship with a painter overseas. In this internship I was responsible for a lot of behind the scenes work in uploading pieces to sell, compiling a portfolio, etc. This gave me insight into what goes into being an artist and selling your work. The ABI team was incredibly helpful when I needed it. My program coordinator, Jason, was very helpful and attentive. Generally, the ABi team does really well in responding, and they expect the same from you. They answered any and all questions I had without belittling me, and were happy to help.
Good career experience
March 20, 2023by: Grace W - New ZealandI completed a virtual internship with this program and was fortunate enough to have it funded by my University. I found the pre-internship training, including resume, job interview and career coaching, very useful. The internship itself was a great experience and gave me something to add to my portfolio. ArtBound definitely has great reach when it comes to providing companies to intern with and I was lucky enough to intern with a reputable business. The downside is that most of these internships are not paid which can feel exploitative. I also felt that the admin team could've been more attentive. Nevertheless, ArtBound provided me with a great internship that provided great career experience.
Such a great opportunity!
March 20, 2023by: Wanaka Yamasaki - New ZealandThe ABI internship programme was so great at helping me launch into the creative industries. I've learnt so much in my script development internship and these are lessons I'll be able to carry with me for the future. For an industry notorious for being closed off or hard to break into, ABI made it accessible for me to connect to so many talented and established creatives in the industry. The ABI team, especially Laura, Zulfa, and Alif, made my journey super easy. Any question or concern I had I could address with them and they'd help me out. It made the overall virtual experience less daunting because I knew I had a support system there.

Immersive experience
February 07, 2023by: Sophia Roca - United StatesThough my internship was held virtually, I still had an immersive experience in the animation industry. My interest lies in the creative development of television shows and was able to gain insight into the writing/brainstorming process. I am grateful to have made connections with professionals and other interns who share the same interests in storytelling.
ABI was an incredible experience!
January 17, 2023by: Vera Sardi - ArgentinaAs someone who was a bit lost after graduating I can say with certainty that joining the program in Art Bound Initiative helped start my career. It gave me the chance to connect with incredible people who later gifted me the chance to work with them. Thanks ABI!
Thank you!
January 13, 2023by: Kira Held - United StatesThis was a great opportunity. ArtBound offers helpful, up-to-date, pre-internship advice. Even after the program had ended I found myself returning to those notes. Everyone is so accessible and kind. They were also supporting me during the internship process with any additional questions I had or problems that arose.
ArtBound is a great experience!
November 10, 2022by: Kiara Bautista - United StatesWhen I first joined, I had no idea what to expect, but I've been having a great time! Everyone in the program is so kind and helpful, and the learning system was extremely helpful, especially the professional portfolio and resume reviews! They matched me with a great company too; I'm currently an intern at Braven Films, and I'm loving the experience!
Best support and learning environment ever
November 07, 2022by: Martina Leva - ItalyI found myself in an amazing environment, every coach helped me and followed me at their best possibilities. I learned a lot, not only internship/work related things but also and most importantly how to deal with things outside job related themes.
Definitely worth the experience!
November 05, 2022by: AJ Santiago - United StatesHaving partaken in the program over the Spring/Summer run I found that ABI was a stepping stone into my budding career as a Freelance Illustrator and Designer. I was able to develop and hone in the skills shared during the coaching sessions in my day-to-day practice with client work, portfolio development, and networking to increase my connections in artistic spaces. Definitely invest in this experience for that push into professionalism as an Artist!
I was able to intern at a creative agency remotely!
November 04, 2022by: Dureti Edema - EthiopiaAs an international student, ABI provided me with the resources that helped me refine my resume. The coaching and guidance I received not only helped me land an internship in a creative agency but also equipped me skill that I now use to navigate my time and work. I’ve connected with different people that have been so helpful in my journey with ABI and this community it thriving because of the dedication of the advisors!! They are awesome!!
Great time!
November 04, 2022by: Brianna Marshall - United StatesMy experience in the program thus far has been really great! I’m almost done with my internship, the coordinators and other team members have been very attentive and answer any questions I may have. In the steps it took to get through the entire program, it was really interesting speaking to all of the members that helped rebuild my resume and see my work from another’s view. The program is very enjoyable and I would highly recommend joining.
Fantastic opportunity for career forwarding
November 04, 2022by: Matthew Forbes - AustraliaMy experience with ArtBound was nothing but amazing. The quality of their coaching was really exceptional for this kind of program, and I really appreciated how well they tailored these sessions towards my career aspirations. Specially, the sessions involving resume rewriting and discussions with a professional from my desired industry were fantastic, and gave me valuable insight which I still use to this day. Even before the internship had began, I felt more confident and enthusiastic about my future in the creative industries thanks to the education that ArtBound provided. I was also very appreciative of how often they stayed in contact in the lead-up to and throughout the internship. It was incredibly helpful to have their support during a time in which I was trying an unfamiliar experience. I would recommend this program to any and all aspiring creatives who need a hand launching their career.
Great overall
November 01, 2022by: RemyA - United StatesGreat overall. I learned so much about the art industry. I have also learned the specific details about jobs that I did not have pervious knowledge about. I left supported by my knowledgable coaches and properly guided during my one on one sessions.
Terrible experience overall with a few bright spots
October 22, 2022by: Jared Aviet - AustraliaIf you are not desperate for any opportunity and if you are a mature graduate or soon-to-be graduate, I would say don’t believe the hype with this organisation as unfortunately, I had an awful experience during most of my 6 weeks or so with Artbound Initiative. A couple of staff members were clear communicators and were understanding of my situation as I have already been in the workforce full- time and I have a young family. My situation was clearly stated when I signed up in my initial interview, being that I work a 40 hour a week job in finance but I will still endeavour to respond to messages as quickly as I can regarding messages from artbound. However, it turned out that staff members do not respond in a timely fashion and when they do - they message arrogantly, rudely and downright disrespectfully. Even the CEO Laura agreed with me on the lack of communication, the attacks on myself personally and the rude communication in general. In 15 years in the workforce professionally, having worked in a range of various companies big and small - I had never been messaged in the manner as I had been from this employee of artbound, Stephanie - who knew very little of the film and television industry here in Australia. I knew more about it since I have many friends in the industry today and I graduated from the JMC Academy in Melbourne in a film and television course. I found the overall rude communication and disrespect off putting already and I had a chat with the CEO of artbound, Laura, about my greivances. I also had a separate grievance with the unprofessionalism from another staff member that I thought was not engaged, Zulfa. The time difference also did not help matters any. I continued whilst never receiving an apology from Stephanie but at least a positive chat and apology from Laura. Things did not get better and I decided to pull out from the program. Laura agreed as well as things were never smooth sailing and that communication problems were ongoing. My previous complaints were not adhered to and my same grievances with Zulfa kept coming up. Add all of this for the ridiculously high price of $1980 or so AMERICAN, the constant, annoying daily automated messages which even Laura admitted is annoying and the lack of assistance or direction involved that I’m amazed some people have said this is a good program. Probably for rich children coming out of uni with no options and no job or family- this is fine but as a graduate from 2017 with a young family and with a successful job in another industry from what I studied- this was not meant to be. On the positive side, no hard feelings with resume coach Marion as I had a great experience with her and even with Laura even though I do feel she should improve her program and manage her rude and awful staff member (the former which I advised her but not the latter, although I hope she realises it is an issue which needs fixing). I think the entire experience is definitely not conducive to helping people in a hands-on, encouraging way and I think the experience also takes advantage a bit of people seeing as they are paying so much money and still have to do quite a lot of work to get ready just for an unpaid internship opportunity. I could get an internship opportunity somewhere but this would mean sacrificing a full time job and an upcoming second job I’m having whilst also having my foot already dipped in the industry I want to get into fully someday. I think that if you are fine being talked down to, are desperate for opportunities if you can’t network in your own area where you live or if you have a lot of money saved, then I could see recommending this opportunity. But I would say there is no substitute for hard work, networking, putting your name and content out there on socials and doing your research into courses thoroughly before forking out your hard earned money My mistake was being sweet talked by Ena and another friend of mine in Melbourne to come aboard artbound intitative. Once I joined, it was a very different story and overall a very negative experience and hands down the worst professional experience I have had with any organisation. You are not seen as an equal or even a student but you are seen as a commodity to be insulted and talked down to. If you can put up with that - fine. At this stage in my life, I simply refuse to put up with that nonsense and no one in a professional environment or job should speak to you the way people spoke to me. Thank you.
Hi Jared - we are truly sorry that you had a bad experience through our program. We recognize that we were not able to deliver what you expected nor that we had wished for you. As we take pride in delivering on our promises and providing a niche and valuable program, we had given you a full program refund. You can see from our other participant reviews that we have a track record of happy participants, so we are also disappointed we failed to do so with you. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
A great opportunity!!!
September 22, 2022by: Cynthia Yang - United StatesMy internship was remote and over the summer, which actually worked out great and brought a different perspective as to how I see myself working in the industry. The ABI program definitely provided great resources for me to improve my communication and professionalism. I was able to connect with professionals to review my website, portfolio, and resume. I am so incredibly grateful for the experience and knowledge I was able to take away.
Thank-you Artbound!
September 20, 2022by: Sheridan Baker - AustraliaAt first I thought Artbound was fake and had real caution but they were really good and gave me great advise and got me into a really good internship with APOSTLE MEDIA which was really fun! 100% recommend them!
Great remote internship with a great agency
September 16, 2022by: Hanna Nguyen - VietnamThe experience was absolutely eye-opening. From the training process where the coaches helped me with building my first portfolio, to the internship itself where I discover my ideal working environment and team dynamic, as well as the aspects of marketing I enjoy working on. I walk out of the program feeling much more confident and better equipped for future work within the industry.
Great resources! Great internship opportunities! Great learning experience!
August 12, 2022by: Marian Guerra - United StatesI found ABI through an online career fair that my school was hosting for students and was really excited by the opportunities they offered. I chose to do my internship locally, opting for a remote experience because of the pandemic. The two months of coaching through ABI's online modules prepared me about the soft skills that I needed to develop for the workplace, envision my career goals, and actively create steps to achieve them. The coaches and mentors that worked with me helped me navigate the career path I wanted and build my portfolio to a professional competitive level. The result was a portfolio which was so much better than the one I created at school. Through ABI's connections, I managed to get responses from different organizations and brands that were interested in me. I managed to land a remote internship at an agency that works for international brands. The internship was challenging, eye opening, and fun, with my mentor supervising my internship journey through my journal as well as regularly checking up with me and giving me an assessment. While working professionally, I had the opportunity to expand my skills, test my creativity, make mistakes, learn from them and rectifying them. I'm really proud of the designs and work I made by myself and in collaboration with my coworkers. The resources and support I received from ABI were BETTER than the ones that were provided to me by my school. Many thanks to Lauren, Sasha, Laura, Ginda, & Zulfa!
ABI experience
June 24, 2022by: Toma Miseviciute - LithuaniaA gateway to the industry! A perfect opportunity to learn from the expert coaches before the internship to set a path for a successful experience during the placement period. Will value this as one of the best decisions of my life! The platform is very easy to navigate and the supervisors are super helpful with any questions. The best part is that the program goes beyond their way to find the internship best suited for individual needs and skills! Grateful to have participated and given a full time position within the placement company afterwards
More than ready
June 11, 2022by: Jordan Goodson - United StatesArtbound really changed my approach and outlook on my personally and professional life. They have a great team that always kept my best interest in mind and really pushed me to expand outside of my comfort zone. Forever grateful for Artbound and the people!
Incredibly valuable experience
May 31, 2022by: Prinshu Gautam - NepalI received a great amount of support and guidance from the Artbound initiative team throughout my internship time. I especially appreciated the preparatory work I did before starting my virtual internship. From the beginning the team was invested in truly listening to what I wanted out of a virtual internship and helped me secure one of the most significant internships thus far in my career. The program helped me understand what I should prioritize during an internship period, how to be an effective communicator and most importantly how to make sure an internship experience should not be treated as an isolated occurrence. The Artbound initiative team was the most supportive and understanding team of mentors I have had the opportunity to work with. The lessons I gained from the program will stick with me for the rest of my professional life. Throughout the program the team took care of the tiniest details and made me feel secure about the big picture as well. After this program I feel significantly more confident and competent in my abilities to carry out any professional endeavor I intend to pursue.
Best experience of my life!
May 12, 2022by: Jayce Hernandez - United StatesThis program was the best decision and experience I ever had! I learned so much and met so many new people. I was lucky enough to have direct communication and assistance from Laura Bennegadi, Zulfa Azzahra, and Ginda Pamela. I made great connections and had great mentors. I'd even say with full confidence that this experience was much better, beneficial and more enjoyable than my entire 4 years of college experience. I'm so grateful that I got to experience this opportunity and I highly recommend that if you can, go for this program! It will be worth it!
Great program, support and resources
April 19, 2022by: Melissa W - AustraliaArtBound is a fantastic program that not only pairs you with an internship that best suits you, but also provides training and mentoring that helps beyond the internship. The ArtBound program helped build my confidence and skills through their training, career-building resources, and mentoring sessions. They provide honest feedback to help you refine your portfolio and resume. Even throughout the internship, ArtBound constantly check-in to make sure your best interests are looked after - even during a remote internship. Their support has left me feeling job-ready and excited for the next stages after studying.
Amazing experience, support and career connections!
April 01, 2022by: Natalia Z - AustraliaArtBound has been incredibly supportive throughout this whole experience, providing a large amount of information with regards to building one’s own portfolio and resume in order to highlight the best aspects of their skills within their chosen career field. Not only was I guided with ease before and during my internship process, but all access to networking with other individuals within the program - past and present - will always be available. They have built communities of successful and passionate individuals around the world who have easy ways to communicate with one another and form personal and professional relationships through their Mighty Networks social platform. I would definitely recommend ArtBound to anyone looking for a creative internship, they’re some of the best in the business with communications to some of the best studios and agencies in the world.
Seriously a cool experience - apply now!
January 08, 2022by: Max Rattner - United StatesThe ArtBound Initiative has been with me through all my questions, problems and has helped me problem solve and connect with amazing creatives. They helped me build a demo reel and update my portfolio along with priceless soft skills. The people have helped me gain professional confidence and were also super supportive. Being able to say I've interned with a creative agency across the world has opened the door to so many opportunities. I've done real projects and gotten a lot done even as a remote intern. Hopefully will be in person in the Summer!
I learnt way more than I imagined I would
September 02, 2021by: Tash Irsh - Australiai am so glad i joined the ABI remote internship program, it not only allowed me to find a great work experience in the middle of covid, it allowed me also to not be affected by continuous restrictions that came along with it and continue my work and be able to meet deadlines. i was constantly in link with the leaders in ABI program, who were more than happy to discuss any issues that i had and helped me overcome them. i have learnt a great deal of skills through this experience, im more confident of my skills. The program is great not only because of teh internship but also because of teh great deal of networks and conenctions I have made over my experince. I find myself benefitting a fair amount from trainings, and coachings outside of the internship. i would highly recommend the program to anyone who would like to get industry experience, build on their skills and be more confident and ready for professional settings and teh real world.
NYC virtual experience
August 10, 2021by: Mikayla Makle - United StatesI was so honored to be able to intern with Warp Records NYC, through ArtBound’s program. The internship, while virtual, provided me with so many opportunities to connect with others and develop my skills. I genuinely appreciate everything that the ArtBound team has done to prepare me for this internship and I will carry everything with me in the future.
The programme made my dream come true!
July 15, 2021by: Justyna Masiuk - PolandI have joined the programme in January 2020 and have been a part of the great experience ever since. The ArtBound Initiative has helped me flourish during the most uncertain times. I had an opportunity to intern online for Amey Studio in Paris and secure a part-time position after. In between, I was involved in the Revista de Milenio magazine freelance work. During both of the internships, I have learned how to e-communicate and work with industry professionals and how to present my skills. The ArtBound Initiative has been with me through all my journey, starting with the build-up of my portfolio and answering any questions I had about my intern. The network has not only gave me professional confidence but also great support and help.
