very nice experience

i really appreciated this semester. i met a lot of nice and interesting people, and i hope that i will stay in touch with them. the classes were very good, i was able to focus more since the number of students is way lower compared to aub in lebanon. this also allows better communication between the students and the professors/ staff. regarding the dorms, the spirit was good, i really got along with my roommate, but the common areas were often dirty.

What inspired you to travel abroad?

I have always sought to work in institutes of long-standing tradition that also have a modern and contemporary educational vision and practice. Having organized numerous university student trips in the U.S. and Europe, I have come to respect and believe in the liberal arts program that AUB Mediterraneo offers. I also respect that it is a non-profit organization and it seeks to assist its students in every way. It was also very appealing to be part of this amazing project starting from the ground up, a new venture, but with the experience of one hundred and fifty-eight years! Growing up in the Mediterranean, AUB was considered a beacon of light in education, so for me, this is a dream!

What inspired you to travel abroad?

I have been living in Pafos, Cyprus, for almost three years now. One day I heard, and read, that the American University of Beirut (AUB) was going to open a campus in Pafos. I was thrilled because AUB is a prestigious university and has an impeccable reputation not only in Lebanon and the Middle East but in Europe and the U.S. as well.
