Abraham Hostels & Tours Reviews
Past Digital Marketing Intern
Submitted by Emily - University of Maryland | January 17, 2018
Working for Abraham Hostels & Tours was a great experience! The staff was always friendly and loving. There were many activities and ways to get involved with the hostel. There were many opportunities to meet new people and push yourself out of your comfort zone.
The work was interesting and different. You could do simple tasks or take on a project of your own. The founder's were incredible and extremely friendly.
Overall, I am grateful for my experience and would definitely recommend working for them to a friend!
Great way to improve skills and get to know the daily life in Israel
Submitted by Jessica - Amsterdam Netherlands | December 11, 2017
Volunteering with Abraham Hostel & Tours is a great way to improve your photography/videography skills and get to know the daily life in Israel. You get a lot of opportunities to go to events and local activities while you're working, the same goes for the tours. You get enough free time to see more of the country and beside the hostel that you are volunteering in you can stay in the other cities for free as well (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Nazareth). While Israel can be quite expensive as a travel destination, volunteering is the perfect way to learn more about local culture and daily life and to experience Israel to the fullest, even if you don't have a lot of budget.
Fell in love with the people and the country

Working with Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv has been a life changing experience. I have made close friends, had experiences that I never thought possible, and learned about photography through practice and hard work facilitated by the hostel staff. I have also had the opportunity to experience Israeli culture in Tel Aviv and all around the country.
Coming to Israel was my first time traveling alone, and I have learned the skills and the confidence to continue to travel and volunteer alone in the future.
Mandatory internship for B.A. in tourism & travel management
Submitted by Jesus Trail Intern - HS Worms, Germany | December 11, 2017
Shalom everybody :)
I also did my internship with Abraham Hostels & Tours and I was more than happy with it!
In my case the internship was part of my studies and I had to do it to complete my B.A. in Tourism and Travel Management.
The team behind Abraham Hostels & Tours has been very open-minded, nice and flexible from the very start. Since I wanted to continue living in Haifa during the internship, they offered me to work partly from home, which was a perfect solution for me.
I was basically the assistant for the manager of the Jesus Trail, which is part of the Abraham Tours department.
In my first week I got to know the hostels and some of the tours. After that I hiked the Jesus Trail myself to get to now the "product". The tasks I had during this internship were very diverse and reached from answering customer requests, preparing booking confirmations, communicating with hotels and suppliers as well as taking care of the social media performance to having the Jesus Trail orientation meetings with the hikers themselves.
In doing so I could experience the whole development from a booking request to the actual journey of the customer with their feedback in the end of each booking process.
I had a lot of fun fulfilling these task, but also spending time with the team behind Abraham Hostels & Tours. They are very professional, open-minded and nice people and I felt very welcome right from the start.
Thanks a lot for this experience, I had a blast!
Amazing cultural exchange!

The internship was a very enriching traveling and work experience!
The staff were very professional and all the time made me feel part of team.
It was really interesting to learn and practice marketing at the tourism area.
The hostel is awesome - comfortable, clean and full of activities, such as open jam, shows, cooking workshop and pub quiz.
I also could enjoy several tours with Abraham Tours - all around Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Nazareth, West Bank and Jordan.
The internship was definitely more than an international work experience, it was an amazing cultural exchange!
