The Machame route is considered the best Kilimanjaro climbing route due to its highest summit success rate. Climbers acclimatize better at Barranco, making it easier and safer to reach the summit. Additionally, the Machame route is known for its stunning views and the scenic beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro. Opting for the Machame route offers several advantages, including a higher success rate of summiting and a better chance of acclimatization. Accommodation throughout the trek is provided in tented camps, ensuring hikers have a comfortable stay. In the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive you to Arusha National Park. Upon arrival, you'll meet an armed ranger for a guided walking safari—a rare chance to explore the African bush on foot and get up close to nature, an experience offered by only a few parks in Tanzania. After the walk, enjoy a game drive through the park with a packed lunch. Wildlife sightings may include buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, waterbucks, white colobus monkeys, baboons, and a wide variety of birds.
