Program Overview

Discover Tanzania while making a real difference. Join the Kyosei Foundation and support education and farming at Kyosei Pre & Primary School.
Work on an organic farm project that provides food for students and teaches sustainable agriculture. Engage with children through education, sports, and life skills development. Stay in a friendly homestay family, experience authentic Tanzanian daily life, and engage directly with the school community.

Our organic farm initiative supports school feeding programs and teaches students practical agricultural skills through hands-on learning.

We welcome volunteers, educators, and partners to support the following:
- School garden and farm development
- Teaching and academic support
- Youth sports and mentorship programs
- Girls’ education and health initiatives
- Entrepreneurship and community outreach
- Grant writing and funding partnerships
This project is building a self-sustaining model of education, nutrition, and empowerment for vulnerable children in Arusha.

How much does it cost to volunteer?

The volunteer contribution is $70 per week, covering accommodation and three meals daily. This excludes flights, visas, and personal activities such as safaris or excursions.

Where do volunteers stay during the program?

Volunteers are hosted in a welcoming home environment with private rooms and daily meals. A minimum contribution of $70 per week supports utilities and household costs. Alternatively, volunteers may arrange their own accommodation in local hostels.

What activities are included in a volunteer’s daily schedule?

Participants support school programs, assisting teaching, gardening, sporting, and community initiatives aligned with girls’ empowerment. And usually volunteers begin at a local school at 9:00 AM, supporting teaching and community activities. The day includes scheduled breaks and ends around 4:00 PM, with free time afterwards for exploration or relaxation.

What can volunteers do during weekends?

Weekends are free for exploration, including visits to Mount Meru, Lake Duluti, Chemka Hot Springs, or safari experiences.
