Join us and become a part of the laid-back and friendly community of Moshi in Northern Tanzania just at the foot of the monumental Kilimanjaro! With up to ten other international volunteers you will teach English to children, teachers and other community leaders, encourage and support women’s empowerment and work alongside HIV/AIDS organizations to help raise awareness of HIV/AIDS. Volunteers will sing, dance, play and help the children to develop their creative skills through the mediums of drawing, coloring and painting. You will help with the schools’ general maintenance to provide a pleasant learning environment for its students. You will work among our many different projects. Current projects include but are not limited to working with the nursery and primary schools, after-school clubs and Kiwakukki which is a HIV/AIDS group which originally was established to support women in the community who suffered from HIV/AIDS.

Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania via the Lemosho Route and have the opportunity to explore the area with The Global Adventure Safaris Ltd. Your journey beings in Arusha, where you will be met and transferred to a lovely hotel in the city. Those who arrive especially early can book optional activities. In the afternoon, you will spend time with your Tanzania wildlife expedition mountain guide preparing for the climb. The trek will take you from Arusha to the starting point of the Lemosho Route, up to the edge of Shira Volcano, across the Shira plateau, to the Lava Tower, down to the Karanga Valley, and then ascend to the roof of Africa, Kibo crater. On the tenth and final day, you will descend to the surrounding rainforest and then the Mweka gate, where your vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your evening accommodation.

The Machame route is considered the best Kilimanjaro climbing route due to its highest summit success rate. Climbers acclimatize better at Barranco, making it easier and safer to reach the summit. Additionally, the Machame route is known for its stunning views and the scenic beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro. Opting for the Machame route offers several advantages, including a higher success rate of summiting and a better chance of acclimatization. Accommodation throughout the trek is provided in tented camps, ensuring hikers have a comfortable stay. Choosing a 7-day Kilimanjaro trek provides an added advantage, as it allows hikers to relax more at Karanga camp and prepare for the final section of the climb.

Nicknamed the “Whiskey” route, the Machame Route is a popular yet challenging path to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Known for its scenic beauty and better acclimatization profile, it's ideal for adventurous trekkers with some hiking or backpacking experience. Though more expensive than the Marangu route, it offers excellent value for those seeking a varied and rewarding climb. The route begins on the southwest side of the mountain and descends via the Mweka route. In the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive you to Arusha National Park. Upon arrival, you'll meet an armed ranger for a guided walking safari—a rare chance to explore the African bush on foot and get up close to nature, an experience offered by only a few parks in Tanzania. After the walk, enjoy a game drive through the park with a packed lunch. Wildlife sightings may include buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, waterbucks, white colobus monkeys, baboons, and a wide variety of birds. In the afternoon, take a peaceful canoeing safari on Momella Lake, often surrounded by pink flamingos and colorful water birds—offering a unique view of the park’s ecosystem.
