Learn Spanish in Malaga, Spain, with Agualivar. Participants are welcomed into the school where they experience the local way of life as part of a warm, friendly family. Besides living together with teachers, participants speak only Spanish every day. Teachers and the rest of the Agualivar staff help students find the right words to say in daily conversations. Courses are specifically designed to meet individual needs. The school is not a traditional academy; it is a beachfront village where students enjoy an unforgettable holiday while learning Spanish. Classes have a maximum of four students and lessons tackle all language skills: reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and culture. The tuition is usually in the morning, leaving the afternoons and evenings free for activities, visits, excursions, and/or private study. The great advantage of this program is that participants live in the house with teachers so that learning does not stop at the end of the lesson.

Bilbao and the Basque country are internationally renowned for having the best waves in Europe throughout the year. Experience this (and more!) in a program that boasts a magnificent combination of Spanish learning and surfing. We welcome anyone interested in learning a foreign language in a truly unique city and with an eagerness to surf—both experienced surfers and beginners alike. All surfing lessons include the basics, based on individual levels. These could tackle theories, water safety, techniques, etiquette, wave selection, coastline knowledge, rips, local conditions, weather forecasts, and more. Beginners will learn to handle a board, paddle, catch white waves, pop up on the board, and stand on the foam. Intermediate surfers will improve surfing techniques—such as duck diving, cutbacks, frontside and backside turns, and more—and perfect individual styles. Instructors will take students to the best surf spots, depending on their ability and needs.

Meaningful, curriculum-aligned travel brings Spanish language and culture to life for your students. Our fully guided School Tours are tailored to each group’s needs, with round-trip airport transfers, full-board homestay or dorm accommodations, and Spanish lessons matched to proficiency levels. Afternoons can include cooking classes, museum visits with art workshops, urban art tours, flamenco experiences, or historical scavenger hunts. Optional day trips to UNESCO sites like Segovia, El Escorial, or Ávila enrich the experience. Each group receives orientation, learning materials, level testing, and certificates of completion.
