Our Florence program is one of Abbey Road's most popular study abroad programs for nearly twenty years running. Our students benefit from the residential living experience in the heart of Florence and 24/7 support from our program staff of professional artists, chefs, photographers, and art historians. From daily classes in Italian Language, Photography, Studio Art, Tuscan Cuisine, and Art History to activities ranging from museum visits to Top Chef, we challenge our students daily to try new interests, expand their horizons, and make the most of this exceptional summer opportunity. We give our students fresh, high-quality food from local markets. Our culinary staff members shop for our students, they conduct Tuscan cuisine workshops where students learn to make some of the Florentine delicacies. We cook together one or two nights per week, on some nights we go out for group dinners at trendy local restaurants. Some nights we have catered meals. In any case, our students eat authentic, quality food, as opposed to fast food or tourist meals. Abbey Road’s teaching method emphasizes active, hands-on learning, and cultural immersion.

Join Travel For Teens this summer on our Ultimate Travel Photography Workshop to hone your skills in two of the most beautiful destinations in Europe: France and Italy! We begin this trip of a lifetime in Paris, where you’ll explore the city through your camera lens, guided every step of the way by our professional staff. Paris is one of the most evocative and enchanting cities in the world, and it is no surprise that the art of photography has its origins in this very place. In addition to honing your photography skills, come to know Paris like a local by biking through its historical neighborhoods, taking a sunset cruise down the Seine, and eating your way through the arrondissements. You’ll see Paris from the top of the hip artistic neighborhood of Montmartre, all the way down to the depths of the Catacombs. Stroll through the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles, and marvel at the countless works of art during a guided tour of the Louvre.

Our Whole of Europe route is a fast-paced tour of Europe’s most popular cities. Experience authentic European backpacking, travel with a small group of likeminded people, stay in great hostels, and ride on public transport with an experienced guide. You’ll have between one and four nights in each city, making this the ultimate way to experience many of Europe’s most famous destinations in a short amount of time.
