The three-year Communication Design programme at IED Milano, taught in English, introduces students to effective communication tools and techniques through high-impact, project-based learning. You’ll shape ideas to influence user behavior across the buying process while engaging with social and cultural dynamics. The first year provides a multidisciplinary foundation, combining socio-cultural studies, semiotics, and art history with technical skills in multimedia design, marketing, and digital tools. In the second year, students choose between two tracks: Strategy, focusing on brand identity, positioning, consumer trends, media, events, and PR; or Creative, centered on content creation, creative thinking, digital innovation, and art direction. Over the final years, you’ll work on interdisciplinary projects, including a dissertation inspired by real-world processes, and collaborate with leading global brands such as Netflix, Samsung, Burger King, and Deliveroo. Graduates earn a BA-equivalent degree (EQF6, 180 ECTS) and are prepared for international careers in communication design.
