The LdM Florence campus comprises 16 properties peppered among the iconic Duomo, artisanal gelaterias, and the legacies of great scientists and artists of human history. Walking to classes in Florence’s historical center—the entirety of which is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site—LdM students enjoy the city's jewels, marvel at its beauty, and make meaningful memories every day. The Advanced Graphic Design Summer course provides you with the necessary skills and a solid understanding of the key areas of graphic design. You'll increase your expertise and confidence across the many components of visual communication. With an in-depth knowledge of principles, you'll learn to create professional designs in both print and digital formats, as well as gain valuable insights into the areas of logo creation, image creation, designing for the web, typography, and branding. During this three-week summer course, you'll examine and draw inspiration from the artistic treasures and great museums in Florence to create a visual identity for a museum in need of rebranding, maintaining consistency and voice across mediums. Site visits are an integral part of your learning experience. This course is taught in English and starts each June. It is intended for students with competence or basic professional expertise in graphic design who are interested in developing their professional skills. Participants must be familiar with the main tools and software (Adobe Photoshop/AI) and motivated to work independently or in a team, under deadlines.

The Accademia Italiana is internationally recognized as one of Europe's most prestigious institutes of art and design. Each year, creative students from all over the world come to the Accademia Italiana to take courses in the Accademia's signature programs in fashion design, graphic design and visual communications, interior and product design, window display design, photography and new media and studio arts. The Accademia also offers study abroad students courses in liberal arts and Italian language and culture. Italian culture courses include art history, history, literature, cinema and style.
