To start our journey around the world, of which over 3 months in South America, it seemed like a good plan to learn some Spanish before venturing out into the 'wild'. Elebaires provided a warm welcome and adapted courses for both of us at different levels. Small classes, plenty of time for queries and 'what to say when...', good curriculum and -at intermediate level- immersion in Spanish. No translation class (Spanish-English and v.v.), but understanding of words and phrases in your own language. For us as non-native English speakers this was a refreshing approach. Teachers have good grammatical knowledge and a range of teaching styles to benefit various learners. The pace is high and you learn lots in a short while. We're ready to explore!
I have really enjoyed the online classes and have recently joined for another few months. Thank you Elebaires for your patience and your ability to teach online.
I decided to travel to Buenos Aires to learn Spanish and explore the Latin culture. I did just that through my class within the Elebaires program and my trips in Sudamerica. Within a month I travelled to Cataratas de Iguazu (Iguazu Falls), Tigre and Salta to see Las Salinas (the salt falts). In addition, I volunteered at a soup kitchen, toured Buenos Aires through a group, experienced the enthusiasm of fans at a futbol game, learned Tango during a class, watched a Tango show and listened to the drums play at La Bomba. Elebaires contributed to the exciting experience I had abroad.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two week course at Elebaries and wouldnt think twice about recommending it. We were in Buenos Aires for 3 weeks at the beginning of a 5 month trip so were after a course that would equip us with the basics to get by. The course was very interactive, the teachers fun and engaging, and we also met some really great fellow students who became our freinds. They also organise lots of optional events and tips for other things to do. Highly recommended
Elebaires is the ideal place to come and learn Spanish before you set off travelling again. Having travelled around South America myself after school I could have really benefited from these classes, especially as I was going on to study Spanish at university. The lessons only take up the morning (9am-1pm) and then you are free in the afternoon to do whatever. Having had many friends do language courses in Buenos Aires, some good, some bad, I really can thoroughly recommend Elebaires. Elebaires takes on whatever standard of Spanish that you are whether you have had no experience with the language or perhaps you are more familiar – they will accommodate every level. With an average of 5 people per class there is no doubt that you are bound to improve both orally and grammatically. What’s more the teachers are incredibly friendly here and make it their priority to help each student get the most out of the classes. In the afternoons, if it interests you, take advantage of the cultural trips that they offer; tango classes, football matches, city tours and evening social events and much more. This really was for me a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. For more information check out the Elebaires website - www.elebaires.com
Elebaires made my travel experience to BsAs unforgettable! The friendly and well-informed staff, teachers, and coordinators were really accessible and generous with their time and knowledge. The group classes were small enough so that I could learn a lot while still having fun with other students. It is a very relaxed atmosphere that is definitely tailored to suit each student's ability and what he or she wants to learn. There are always lots of activities to do after class or on weekends. I have a great group of international friends thanks to the experience. Also, Elebaires set up a fabulous homestay arrangement. Now that I am 5,000 miles away from BsAs, I have taken a few Skype classes and they are also excellent. I can't wait to go back to BsAs, and recommend Elebaires highly to anyone seeking an educational and enjoyable trip.
Elebaires became more than just a school or a learning centre. It became my family here in Buenos Aires. The programme suited my pace and range of understanding. It allowed me to develop my understanding and use of spanish in a superb atmosphere. The classes were fun , stimulating, creative and allowed for discussion on social and cultural matters. The after class activities are geared to develop your understanding of the city, culture and the people here, plus give you the chance to practice what you have learned . The total experience with Elebaires was beyond my expectations and my rate of learning exceeded what I thought would be possible in a short phase and gave me the confidence to travel furture into Aregentina with confidence. Studying with Elebaires its teachers and all the staff was the right decision.
I am currently studying at Elebaires and am preparing for the DELE exam, which I am taking in a few weeks. I would thoroughly recommend the school to anyone who wants to learn Spanish and have a great time doing it! The teaching is very good indeed, I have learnt a lot since being here. I have also been on various cultural trips in the afternoon that are organised by the school, which are very interesting and a fun way of getting to know the city as well as the other students. I love how the school is right in the centre of the city, in the famous Palacio Barolo on Avenida de Mayo. Finally I think the major advantage of the school is the friendliness of the staff and the great interest that they take in each individual student to ensure they get the most out of their time there. I would thoroughly recommend Elebaires to all!
