Leur maison est belle et Caroline est un bonne guidée et proff. Les excursions et le nourriture préparée par Caroline m’a aide sentir totalement immersed dans la culture de française. Je le recommanderai l’expérience à toute.

We spent 6 nights with Dominique in her beautiful home in Burzet. The entire experience surpassed all our expectations! Dominique drew on her well-established professional teaching career to help us develop our French language skills and increase our confidence; she expertly navigated the balance between pushing us to try new things without overwhelming us. We appreciated the daily structure of revision, development and then preparation for whichever outing we had chosen, and on which Dominique always accompanied us. Our accommodation was lovely: a sensitively converted chapel with unique artistic touches, en suite bathroom and private terrace. Dominique is also an excellent chef and we were treated to all sorts of local cuisine, often eating on the outside terrace with magnificent views over the valley. We honestly could not recommend our home stay with Dominique more and plan to return. We both learnt a lot, but also had a LOT of fun.

We worked during the mornings on vocabulary and grammar and enjoyed excursions during the afternoon. We talked often about everything; current events, cooking, life in general. Meals were delicious and convivial. I know I have learned a lot and my experience could not have been better.

J’ai reçu un cours français que j’ai demandé. Claude est un professeur très expérimenté et sensible . Après le cours ils m’ont accompagné une exposition d’art. Une autre après midi Jean Paul m’a montré des quartiers inconnus . J’ai assisté àu cours de la langue super et en plus j’ai trouvé des nouvelles amis

Les leçons etaient interessants et utiles. J’aime beaucoup les dejeuners parce que Béatrice est une excellent chef et je pourrais continuer pratiquer mon français pendant notre conversations. Nous avons visité un champ de lavande, les jolis villages et la ville, où Béatrice a pris beaucoup de photos pour moi. Béatrice et son mari étaient des hôtes et des enseignants merveilleux.

I stayed for about a week each with two different teachers and their families. My French improved dramatically and I feel more confident in my language abilities. I also feel like I have new friends in my teachers. They were flexible, patient, kind, and fed me wonderful regional food as well. :) I could not have created such an experience on my own with a typical language school and I’m so happy I found this program. The cultural, historical, and language exposure I received was beyond my hopes. I highly recommend S.I.immersion and I look forward to participating again in the future.

He and his partner could not have been more welcoming and generous. They were happy to cater for my dietary restrictions taking a lot of care to ensure everything was suitable. The lessons each morning were challenging but enjoyable. The outings in the afternoons were amazing. Pascal took what interested me into account when planning them and I was able to see a great sample of what Bretagne has to offer. I would definitely recommend a home stay experience with Pascal.

Marianne et Olivier étaient charmant. J'ai appris beaucoup de français et Marianne est une enseignante magnifique et sympa! Le pays près de Saint Antoine l'Abbaye est vraiment impressionnante, et les petits villages de l'Isere sont jolis. Aussi, les fromages de la région sont délicieux! Merci beaucoup Marianne, Olivier et Celtina.

I spent a fantastic week with Sophie and her family. As an absolute beginner it was hard work but this has given me the foundation and belief in myself to continue learning. The accommodation and food was excellent, and I was made to feel like part of the family for the week I stayed. Merci Beaucoup !!

For the formal tuition, you can't learn a huge amount of vocabulary and grammar in only a week but it gave me some invaluable leads as to where and how to concentrate my language learning efforts in future for best results. I didn't quite realize the extent of some of my weaknesses in French! The informal conversations provided an enjoyable and worthwhile immersion experience and it was useful to have a teacher constantly available for my many questions on everyday French. Francis and Isabelle were kind, considerate, and hospitable hosts.

Anne Laure was an excellent teacher and made me feel at ease from the start of the stay. She very quickly established how best to improve my french in an enjoyable way . Bordeaux itself is a lovely city with a nice mix of the old and the new. It is very easy to walk anywhere in Bordeaux from Anne Laure’s apartment. I would also recommend a bike ride round Arcachon. I would thoroughly recommend Anne Laure as a host and teacher.

An extremely welcoming family that helped me to better know France and its culture. Marie is an excellent teacher, and my french has improved significantly after this experience. I would certainly recommend it to all those who want to learn French and to know more about this beautiful country.

They are very warm and friendly. They made me feel very welcome in their home . The lessons were adapted perfectly to my needs. We went on some wonderful excursions and I learned a lot about the history of Normandy. They invited some of their friends to their house to meet me and give me the opportunity to talk to people with a variety of accents. It was a wonderful week!

Laurence is a very good teacher and very patient and kind . Her knowledge is superb. I appreciated my room very much it was very comfortable. Laurence drive me to different villages and we went to the market to shop. Also we attended an art gallery, a beautiful concert with a choir from Argentina, , une soiree avec un poet et aussi une soiree avec un pianiste manifigue. Merci Laurence

The teacher: Extremely energetic, patient, smart, and fun! I learned so much. A bespoke experience, custom-made just for me. I arrived tongue-tied and departed tongue-twisting. Oh those voyelles nasales… Plus the most delicious food you can possibly imagine. The place: Stone villages for exploring, goats for cuddling, waterfalls for swimming… Not only will you be immersed in the language, but in a community where the locals truly blend in with nature -- creating a healthy, peaceful, and artistic way of life. Look no further. Immerse yourself here. Profiter de cela! Tout de suite!

Claude personally tailored each lesson not only to my linguistic needs, but also around subjects I was interested in. The excursion to the market was an unforgettable experience that I cannot get in the United States. I was very impressed with this immersion experience and learned a lot, I hope to do it again some day.

They made me feel most welcome and at home. We make visits to local festivals and to beautiful Breton villages. I learned a lot about Breton (and French) culture and Breton food. Coralyne and her husband, Julien, are excellent cooks. What’s more I believe my ability in French greatly improved thanks to Coralyne’s efforts. I would highly recommend a stay with Coralyne to anyone seeking an enjoyable way to improve their French language skills.

They were excellent hosts. They went out of their way to allow me to taste local dishes and drinks (a big shout-out for pommeau!). They took me on excursions to experience the local scenery and culture, and tuned it to my interests (the history was easy but the timber mill was above and beyond!). Finally, and not least, Claude's lessons were in depth and clear and attuned to my needs.

First, Carol has first rate accommodations- your own private bathroom, comfortable bed, plenty of storage, but best of all gorgeous views. From my balcony and bedroom windows I had picturesque views of the mountains, the village, and fields. I enjoyed just sitting on my bed and looking out. Carol is very well organized, an excellent teacher and a warm welcoming person. Her husband and children were delightful. The food was wonderful, and both Carol and her husband are good cooks. The chickens provided the fresh eggs for the meals, and the family buys fresh organic local produce. The excursions were well-planned and interesting. The first day we went Thonon to see the local celebration for the Olympic torch, but best of all we went to a re-enactment of a 1815 battle that took place in this area between Napoleon’s army and its enemies. Carol did a nice job of varying the activities — hikes, a visit to a mechanical music museum, a walking tour of Evian, a cheese making tour, and much more. She was also very solicitous and wanted to know what I wanted to do. When she found out that my family was coming to the area to pick me up, she even invited my family (my daughter and her fiance) over for supper. That was a special treat for me since this was the first time my family got to meet a homestay family. Bottom line - I had a great time and I learned a lot. I would definitely recommend this homestay.
