Tree Nursery & Planting Support the creation of tree nurseries and help plant trees in community hubs like schools and markets to encourage reforestation. Environmental Education Lead or assist in workshops focused on recycling, climate change, and reducing carbon footprints, making environmental awareness accessible and engaging. Sustainability Projects Get involved in practical sustainability efforts such as garbage collection, making waste bins, and helping villagers develop home gardens. Zomba District, our home base, represents a place of dreams, hopes, and opportunities. Zomba District Council, together with various development partners, aims to provide an enabling environment for men, women, girls, and boys to realize their potential and meet their social and economic endeavors. Some possible projects you may work on include laying bricks for a school building, assisting at a health post, or painting and molding bricks for community structures. You will likely spend two days a week working with children and the last day is divided between finishing earlier projects and cultural activities. The schools where you will volunteer only have half-day classes every Friday. On this day, you will help organize various youth programs such as sports, entrepreneurship skills, and art and crafts.
