RisingSun Volunteers is based in the vibrant community of Teshie Nungua in Accra, Ghana. Drawing on years of experience working with global volunteer organizations, our team includes founders from Ghana, Germany, Denmark, and the UK. Our programs cater to passionate volunteers eager to make a difference in healthcare, education, conservation, and more. Participants gain valuable skills, help local communities, and contribute to meaningful change across various fields. Our projects are designed to address community needs while providing a rich learning environment. Volunteers can engage in areas such as medical and psychology internships, conservation efforts, education, and media. Each program offers the chance to contribute to local development in practical, impactful ways. Medical interns assist in local hospitals, while wildlife volunteers support conservation through habitat restoration and outreach. Additionally, journalism and law interns experience Ghana’s unique media and judicial systems firsthand. We welcome children from four and upwards on our family projects, although on specific projects, the age might be a little older. When you make international volunteering a family activity, you give your kids access to a world way beyond what they see every day.
