The Amazon rainforest, also known as the Amazon jungle, is located in South America. The size of the rainforest extends to 8 different states, whereas the majority of the forest is contained within Brazil, followed by Peru. The rainforest represents over half of our planet’s remaining rainforests and the Amazon ecosystem is home to the most exotic Amazon wildlife. As you probably know, there are many projects that help to save the Amazon rainforest. You are able to participate in different volunteer programs, such as working with animals, volunteer in conservation projects, working in community service or volunteering in projects in the field of research.
