TEFL Courses & Certification in Tokyo, Japan

There is a limit of what a couse like this can provide in only a few weeks. Considering how short it is, it does a great job in teaching all the very basic skills needed. Also, the job resources were very helpful and I did end up getting a contract in Japan, so my experience with ITA was very much a success.

When I looking to get a TEFL for teaching English in Japan, I needed something flexible as I was working full-time. I also wanted a program with positive reviews, as well as job search guidance. While I ended up not taking advantage of the supplementary classes, knowing I had the options was a nice perk.

I wanted to be able to travel and teach effectively around Asia. The course was excellent, though I I would have liked to cover more grammar than what we did. The back end of the book wasn’t covered in class. I now teach English in the JET Programme in Hiroshima, Japan.

The course was excellent, and the staff was extremely helpful. It was a bit of a surprise to me the length of my contract. Also a lot of the links on the websites and in some of the guides didn’t lead anywhere when I enrolled. Had I known I’d be in my contract in Japan for a year minimum I may have picked a different country. But I’m happy with my choice still.

It’s just very expensive but otherwise I’m content with what I got both with training and job guidance. I was hired to teach in an Eikawa [private language school ] in Japan. My employer was very happy with the video I submitted and the resume. I crafted these things based on the suggestions and feedback of ITA professionals and got several offers.

I honestly didn't have any critiques of the course. I didn't actually need it for my position with the JET Programme, but I felt better knowing I had put in the work and done some sort of formal education preparing myself for a teaching position.

I have as yet gone abroad to teach. I am currenlty enrolled in the Job Placement Program in Japan and should be able to begin teaching in the Spring The support from Andrew Hines and the Student Affairs office with Marushka has been exemplorary, understanding, quick and efficient on answering questions/concerns, encouraging and extremely supportive. I will recommend TEFL Academy, and I do often, to anyone I meet interested in ESL teaching abroad.

I loved the course , did because I had the time to kill , but it was well invested time. I learnt a lot about the language itself and very good and fun ways to teach English to others. Vanessa was very helpful and always available when I needed the help. Hard copy certificate arrived on time. Really enjoyed it and definitely recommend.

I took the course in order to be able to work overseas and to deep my knowledge of teaching. i found this course brilliant!the content is full and structured. The tutor i worked with is a wonderful and an experienced teacher whose comments were more than useful. i d really recommend you this course!

I thought the course was excellent. It stretched me and made me think about a lot of situations that i otherwise may not have thought of. Now I am qualified it has given me more confidence in going forward in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I would highly recommend this course to anyone.

I found the course easy to understand and it allowed me to work at my own speed. I had very good communication with my course overseer and also received lots of encouragement and any needed positive correction when making mistakes in my assignments, etc. I believe ITT to be an honest and sincere organization.

Good quality course that is very helpful and well explained. Staff are also very helpful and responsive, always answering queries and offering help quickly. I would recommend the level 5 course to anyone who is considering TEFL.

When first enrolling I did not know what to expect. I had just finished college and still wanted to do something more and this was the perfect thing to keep me busy as well as interested. Being able to travel at a young age in addition to getting paid is a great way to learn and get international experience. ITA is excellent with the information they provide to future students as well as alumni!

As someone with a bachelors in education who’s dream was to travel, ITA helped show me that dream could become a reality! I loved this course and the additional knowledge, resources, and tools it gave me to not only use in my ESL career but certainly what I learned can carry over into the general education classrooms here in the U.S. as well. I truly value the experience this course allowed me and will continue to allow me as I begin my travels.

ITA has proven to a quality educational experience and I am grateful that I decided to choose this specific program. The learning environment is really enriching that are there to really help you succeed and not just after your money.

My first thought was that this course was really expensive. I realized quickly, you get what you pay for! I have had such amazing help learning to write lessons and prepare as well as looking for and deciding what the best fit is for me job-wise. The whole staff has been awesome! Danielle Lupo is my advisor and she helped me so much!

ITA was the best decision I could have made. They truly prepare you for a teaching position and what you might encounter along the way. My instructor was extremely helpful and gave great feedback on each assignment submitted. The chapters were interesting and a great refresher on grammar! There was plenty of practice creating lesson plans so don't worry if you have no clue (like me) they prepare you for it. Also, the job search guidance manual is so in depth on every aspect of working and living abroad and in any country, you could imagine.

This course was a great insight and preparation in what to expect when teaching abroad. Everyone I contacted from ITA was extremely responsive and helpful, making this online course feel as personal as it would've been if it was in person.

I had a basic idea of what I would be learning before I started course. But it still blew me away with how much I learned in the past few weeks. I started the class not being confident in my teaching abilities; but now I feel 100% prepared! I'm ready to pack up and begin my teaching adventure. This class is amazing.

Deciding to take this path in my life was scary and confusing. Once I contacted my advisor, she helped me throughout the whole process. She was able to give me all the information I needed and even helped answer questions I would have not thought of. During the course, I found myself excited and ready to learn. The Moodle was simple and the course provided me many great tools. My instructor did an amazing job with helping and learning. She really did go out of her way to help. I would definitely recommend this course to everyone I know because it has taught me so much.
