There are many advantages to studying abroad for a longer period of time as well.
Attending universities vs. other program types. Pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone, although scary, will help you grow as much as possible during study abroad programs in Busan.
You will never go hungry in Busan. Korean locals are going to make sure of that. In fact, best to bring your stretchy pants because you will be obsessing over the kimchi, pajeon, bulgogi, kimbap, and patbingsu. Once you discover what eating out in Busan is like, dining will never be the same again.

I LOVED my study abroad to Busan, specifically at Pusan National University. TEAN helped me so much to have fun cultural events and supported me through the visa process and the insurance process. I am so grateful for my program coordinator, Chinny Cruz, who helped me and my whole group of students feel so welcomed, safe, and provided multiple fun activities that made my experience in Busan unforgettable. Busans beautiful beaches interesting culture and especially the unforgettable sight of Dadaepo Beach is one to die for!

South Korea has been one of the many countries I plan on working at some point in my career. When the opportunity to go there arose in front of me, I HAD TO TAKE IT! I wanted to immerse myself in the country to see what it would be like to live there. Although four weeks may not seem as long, I am even more determined to go back. It was an unforgettable experience. I have met so many wonderful people and saw so many beautiful sights.

The staff at TEAN and on-site were very helpful and supportive throughout the process; they always went out of their way to assist students. The program was also super fun as well, albeit a little short.

Life-Changing Summer in Busan
October 10, 2023by: MJ Bline - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad in Busan, South Korea with WorldStrides
I had an amazing experience studying abroad in Busan, South Korea. I felt that Busan, in comparison to Seoul, allowed me to immerse more into Korean culture and language. As soon as I met everyone in my TEAN program, it felt like we shared a sense of community, and we got along with well with each other really quickly. When you're studying abroad, you're often surrounded by like-minded people, who share a lot of the same basic interests as you! The resident director for TEAN Busan, Yeseul Park, is very kind, inclusive, and excited to help you get the best experience out of your program. I often felt that she went above and beyond to make sure that we were having an enjoyable and safe experience. Getting to talk to her and explore Busan and Seoul with her was a very happy experience. She gave a lot of helpful insights as a native Korean. The program at PNU was exciting and allowed me to get close with students from all over the world. We spent a lot of time together, and quickly started to hangout during our free time. The PNU campus is beautiful and sits in between mountains. There are a ton of fun restaurants, karaokes, stores, and sports venues to visit near/on campus. In terms of the Korean classes, the teachers were ecstatic and helpful. They were so passionate about helping us learn and enjoy ourselves! Looking back, I wish that I had known that when TEAN places you in the PNU summer program, it's not just TEAN students in the program. The trip begins with just TEAN students in Seoul, but when you get to PNU, you're immersed in PNU's program, with other international students. This was an amazing experience and made it better, I just remember that I was surprised when there were other international students in the program. Overall, I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is looking for an immersive and exciting experience in South Korea! My experience truly helped me grow so much as an individual. I will never forget my 2023 summer in Busan.

I had an amazing experience studying abroad with TEAN during Spring 2023. With all of the fun activities TEAN prepared for us like touring Nami Island, going to Busan, and a Han river cruise, I definitely don't regret picking TEAN for my study abroad experience. It was also reassuring knowing that we could contact TEAN staff in Korea basically at any time and the onsite staff is very kind! South Korea is a great destination for study abroad as it's easy to travel around the country with its convenient public transportation and school life there is very dynamic! I would definitely recommend studying abroad in South Korea with TEAN.
