Spend a summer in the cosmopolitan capital of England with AIFS Abroad! Study various academic program options offered by the AIFS Abroad Global Education Center in London. You can earn up to 12 credits awarded by Fairfield University. The summer program in Humanities, Social Science, and Business is available in 2 four-week sessions (Sessions 1 & 2). Choose either of the two options or combine them for an 8-week program. You can also start early by enrolling in a May Term program – Museums and Galleries or Shakespeare's Globe – in combination with one or both summer sessions. You will live in double and triple rooms in a residence hall or an apartment and receive a meal allowance to subsidize the cost of purchasing meals and groceries. Cultural and social activities will include: • Guided walking tours • Rugby and cricket matches • Ballet and theater performances • Riverboat cruise along the Thames • Day trips to Stonehenge and Salisbury, Oxford, Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Brighton An optional, exciting 3-day trip to Paris, France, is also offered.

Spend the summer studying Shakespeare and the Jacobean playwrights with this accredited programme. Over the course of 4 weeks, you will rehearse and perform an abridged Shakespeare play. Directed by an expert LAMDA director, you will be challenged to approach classical text with clarity, detail, and precision. The rehearsal process will culminate in an informal sharing of your work. Alongside your rehearsals, you will take part in a range of skills classes, including acting, voice, singing, movement, dance, and combat, designed to help you develop the tools needed to perform classical text. In addition to your regular timetable, students will have the opportunity to go on field trips to Stratford-Upon-Avon and the Globe Theatre in London. You'll also take part in at least one masterclass with a distinguished guest practitioner. The University of the Arts Summer Study Abroad program offers three week-long courses over three summer sessions at all its colleges, except for the London College of Fashion. Students who want to study with the London College of Fashion can attend one of their summer schools, which run for five weeks to eight weeks and include study trips to Paris. All summer options allow students to study one of the university's prestigious courses. Each course is designed to be intensive and fast-paced. These courses are available across subject areas and are open to students of all types and with varying experience levels. Students can begin their studies at the University of the Arts London in May and continue until August.

Study acting in this intensive, month-long program in Oxford, in association with the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale. Now celebrating its 40th year, BADA’s Midsummer in Oxford program is one of the world’s best-known intensive, international acting courses. Based in the historic Magdalen College at the University of Oxford, it is designed for committed actors 18+ and focuses on classical theatre craft with an emphasis on Shakespeare. Participants work and live at Magdalen alongside the BADA Faculty, consisting of leading British theatre practitioners and teaching artists from top American graduate programs. We welcome applicants at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as working actors not enrolled in educational programs. Actors aged 18 must have completed one year of college or have graduated from high school a year before the program starts to be eligible to apply for the coming summer. Magdalen College is situated amid 100 acres of woodland, riverside walks, gardens, and the tranquil Deer Park. Its theatrical alumni include Oscar Wilde, Peter Brook, Katie Mitchell, and Andrew Lloyd-Webber.
