A great time
March 31, 2026by: Willow Rooney - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
I was on London for the two three-week sessions. The classes were excellent and I really enjoyed my class about Shakespeare. We traveled to the Globe theatre to see multiple productions, then had wonderful conversations. Through USAC, there were opportunities to travel outside of London and spend time in lesser known attractions, which let me explore more than just the city. Overall, it balanced both independence to see the city and do whatever you wanted while also letting you have more structure and planned trips.
Amazing experience!

I had a great time studying abroad in London for a semester. I was able to experience student life and make friends with people in my classes. I got to immerse myself culturally while still making time for my studies. I got to visit a lot of museums through the program as well.
My London Adventures
March 01, 2026by: Quinn Davidson - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
During June 2025 I studied Managing Project and Events in London at University of Roehampton. I had an absolutely incredible time immersing myself in the London lifestyle, meeting other students from London, exploring famous monuments, and even going outside of London to some other English towns with other USAC students. I am interested in Project Management after undergraduate studies and this course that I took in London helped me immensely in understanding the resources and tools used in Project Management. I also went to some well-known sports facilities and the Shard for some class trips. The faculty and staff at the University of Roehampton made it very easy to navigate around campus and made us feel as if London was a second home. On the weekends I went with some of the other USAC students to other English towns including Brighton, Bath & Stone Henge, and Margate. We all had a wonderful time exploring those towns together as these were new sights for many of us. I am so grateful and happy that I had the opportunity to study abroad in London as it showed me that there are so many opportunities out in the world for people to take a part in and grow.

Studying in beautiful Barcelona :)
September 16, 2025by: Ceren Vuranok - TurkeyProgram: Affordable, Comprehensive Study and Intern Abroad Programs
Studying in Barcelona had been a dream! I took classes in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation, and Spanish Art and Cultural Heritage at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. My 7 weeks in that paradise were filled with exploration, inspiration, and so much fun. From amazing people to the delicious cuisine, and stunning architecture to the colorful culture, Spain should be at the top of the must-visit countries list. My favorite activity, besides spending my day at the beach, was wandering around the city without a map and being amazed by the beauty hidden in every corner of Barcelona. Thanks to the Spanish Art and Cultural Heritage class, I learned even more about this impressive history and culture. CIS helped me through every step of adapting to studying and living in Barcelona. They planned fun events for us, such as various tours in famous parts of Barcelona, beach picnic and volleyball, wine tasting, tours to towns in Spain, and cooking classes. I stayed at Aparto Pallars, which is conveniently located near the metro station, from which you can take the metro anywhere. I'm so grateful for this experience, and I'm definitely willing to go back to Barcelona or any other program with CIS!

Studying abroad in London with USAC was an incredible experience! The program made it easy to adjust, and the staff was always supportive and welcoming. Life-Changing Experience
August 22, 2025by: Ella Ortiz Ruiz - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
This was truly one of the best experiences of my life! Studying abroad was such an amazing opportunity I will never forget. I made some of the best memories and had incredible experiences every single day. The USAC program and Dara my program director were so helpful with every step and all my questions along the way, I felt super supported. While living in London for ninth months, I was able to work as a bartender, travel to 13 other countries and study film hands-on making several short films. It was so perfect, I would recommend to anyone! I would love to do a study-abroad graduate program now.

My time in London taught me so much about life and I’ll never forget it! Being on my own in another country felt like the first time I was truly self sufficient in my life and I had to make it work for me. I loved every lesson I learned and every friend I made. The experiences I had were life changing, and I can’t wait until I get the chance to go back to London!
My semester studying abroad at AUB was an utterly amazing, beautiful, and inspiring experience.
April 07, 2025by: Rachel LJ - United StatesI studied abroad at AUB on the Costume and Performance Design Course. I'm from NY, USA, and am a double major in Dance and Sociology. I've always wanted to study abroad, and stumbled upon AUB completely by random chance – and I'm endlessly thankful that I did. I was studying something completely new, meeting the most amazing people every day, traveling to a multitude of different countries, and living in a vibrant, exciting town on the beautiful coast of England. The semester was a whirlwind of trying new things, exploring, and meeting new people. Generally speaking, there seems to be a pervasive culture of community and family within students living in Bournemouth. Bournemouth itself is such a fun town. There are tons of great shopping and restaurants, lovely gardens, and of course, the beautiful sea. It was wonderful to be able to just leave my room, walk through town and through the gardens, and reach the beach within 15 minutes. Bournemouth was an absolutely incredible place to be for the semester because of the accessibility it provided for traveling. A bus into London takes only about 2.5 hours from Bournemouth, and from there, I was able to fly to a multitude of incredible places all over Europe. Over the course of the semester, I was lucky enough to visit eleven cities in nine different countries. I learned that I absolutely love traveling by myself. It gives you the chance to really absorb and appreciate a city, taking everything in.

My first impression of AUB was that it was a warm and welcoming community – everyone was so friendly.
March 13, 2025by: Ramona S - United StatesI enjoy the campus; it's nice, clean, and easy to get around. My favourite thing is the moss ecosystems that grow on the rooftops. My course tutors also created a welcoming environment. Being an international student, this was comforting. I'm so far from home, so having this community was super important for me to find and has helped me adjust to living in England. My first impression of the course was that our tutors were knowledgeable in what they were teaching; I love that they're also passionate about design. On the BA (Hons) Communication Design and Strategy course, one of the topics we've been focusing on is typography, which I've enjoyed. My creative process has changed drastically during my two months at AUB; I still don't have a solid process because I'm trying different methods to find it. However, one fundamental part has changed, and that is research. Research has always been part of my creative process, but learning more about good research and its project requirements has helped me. I love art, design, and crafting, so I have a million different hobbies. One of these is embroidery – I've been working on embroidering words, which has turned out to be helpful on my course because it ties in with typography. While embroidering, I look at the anatomy of different fonts and how the pieces work together to build a whole font, which has helped me appreciate type more. I recommend AUB to any creative- learning from passionate people makes your passion grow.

Studying at AUB was the best opportunity. It was such a life changing experience.
March 13, 2025by: Sayoko T - JapanI studied with the 1st year students in BA (Hons) Fine at AUB for about 10 months. Because it was my first time to academically study art abroad after my career change, I was really nervous in the beginning. However, everyone I met at AUB was very supportive and friendly. The course encouraged students to engage creative practice in the studio and to try various media and themes. I was easily able to communicate with lecturers and tutors when I had a question. The more I studied, the more I became enthusiastic especially about painting. I had an access to some workshops. Printing room was also my favourite place which enabled me to cultivate my potential apart from the course project. As for my assignment support, I often booked a tutorial of English for Academic Purpose (EAP) in Student Service. I was able to talk about difficulties and the solutions to study in English as my second language. In my student accommodation, I had amazing flat mates in the student hall who celebrated every occasions, such as someone's birthday and seasonal events. I often cooked with them in the shared kitchen. The whole community had such an inclusive atmosphere which helped me feel comfortable. This was really important point for me to study there as an international student being away from home country. I think I was able to meet everything and everyone I needed for my art studies. It was a really valuable experience. Everyone was very friendly. Students and lecturers called their first names each other, but I did know expect the situation and felt uncomfortable to call the lecturers' first names even without Mr. or Ms. It was too casual for me to do this, so it took me for a while to be brave enough to follow the way as other students do.

Great place to explorer and expand your creative side.
March 11, 2025by: Onil Shah - IndiaI have been on the Fine Art program at AUB and it has been a great experience. The immediate difference I noticed at AUB is how the faculty encourage students to do things out of the box, which I feel was much needed for me. Secondly, being a specialist art university means that everyone around you is an artist/creator and that itself is a unique experience. They have very talented technicians across a range of workshops and printmaking facilities. Overall the time at AUB has really helped me grow. I would advice students to indulge in the course activities as much as they can and get inducted to as many workshop inductions. Also carry an umbrella everyday.

EXCEPTIONAL-I want to move to Thailand
February 04, 2025by: Jacquelaine Anderson - LiberiaProgram: Affordable, Comprehensive Study and Intern Abroad Programs
I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad with CIS Abroad in Thailand during the fall of 2024, and I can confidently say that it was an experience of a lifetime. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to broaden their horizons. The on-site staff were exceptional, offering unwavering support throughout the entire journey. Their dedication truly made a difference. The cultural richness of Thailand is something I’ll never forget. Thanks to CIS Abroad, I was able to explore countless temples, enjoy local cuisine, and visit beautiful islands and vibrant cities. One of the program’s standout features is its encouragement for students to travel and immerse themselves in new experiences. The staff not only helped prepare us for academics but also ensured we felt confident navigating the country independently. This experience reshaped my perspective on the world. I had the privilege of meeting people from diverse backgrounds, which allowed me to learn and grow in ways I never expected. I also gained a sense of confidence that I didn’t know I needed, thriving in an unfamiliar environment where communication was often challenging due to language barriers. CIS Abroad goes above and beyond to support its students. From teaching about local culture to offering academic assistance (specific to Thailand), they foster an environment of growth and opportunity. Their consistent communication throughout the semester was invaluable. I wholeheartedly recommend CIS Abroad. It’s more than just an academic program—it’s a transformative experience that will empower you to truly live your best life while exploring the world.

Honestly, just do it!
October 29, 2024by: Nya Washington - United StatesProgram: Affordable, Comprehensive Study and Intern Abroad Programs
I love studying in South Korea! It was a bit of a culture shock when I arrived as this trip was a lot of firsts for me, like my first plane ride, time in an airport, and trip outside the country! The sunrises are beautiful, and the Cherry Blossom season is one of a kind. As a picky eater, Korea helped me find more foods to try and experiences I liked. If I had to do something different, I would travel more independently and get lost through exploring. The biggest advice I have is to give it a fair shot and do it. There will be moments when you'll get frustrated with not knowing what to expect, but take those in stride and be patient with yourself.

An Unforgettable Experience
May 22, 2024by: Shiloh MacDonald - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
Deciding to take a semester abroad in London, England was one of the most enriching cultural experiences of my life. I recommend to anyone to go for it if they have the means to. I felt as though I learned so much historically along with discovering a deeper understanding of myself. The USAC staff really helped us with immersing ourselves into the culture along with provided helpful resources for any issue that may have arose.
Leaving the country for the first time!
April 17, 2024by: Emma Atchison - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
I have never lived or been outside of America before I found the USAC program. Nevertheless, USAC helped me every step of the way from before I departed until I made it back home. As I lived in London, my USAC counselor would offer to meet with us whenever we needed to and was always just a phone call/text away. Though I had my independence and as much free time as you could ever imagine, I also had massive support from the school and the USAC program. In my situation, I lived with five other girls (not including myself) and luckily we all became the closest of friends. I can't say this happens to everyone but the USAC program is very accommodating if you need to change rooms or locations. My London roommates and I often traveled and went on many excursions together which was amazing. My absolute favorite aspect about USAC is the amount of trips they offer you when you're abroad. So, if you have a hard time planning trips or don't feel comfortable doing so abroad, don't worry because USAC will offer a handful of trips fully planned themselves!

If You're Even Considering Studying Abroad, Just Do It.
April 17, 2024by: Bella Bakeman - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
I had the most fun in my time abroad in London, England. My program duration was just six weeks long, but I had a blast start to finish. I was able to do so many things I never thought I'd be able to do like traveling to Brighton on my own, visiting Stonehenge, touring Buckingham Palace, seeing tons of Theatre productions, drinking phenomenal coffee, and generally getting to know the beauty that is London.

Wonderful but expensive
April 17, 2024by: Cambria Plechner - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
Costs were quite a bit more than anticipated but definitely worth it and I don’t regret going to do it. The experiences and friends I had made are people I’m still talking to at least 3-5 months later. The rooming situation was a bit rough initially, but it got so much better. The accommodation was not far at all to the school we attended, but there was quite a bit of not mixing with locals which kind of sucked. I made great friends with other people in the program and a very few amount of friends outside of it, but again it was a great experience and I highly recommend.
USAC ROCKS!
February 16, 2024by: Ariana Schwarz - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
My experience of Studying Aboard with USAC Studying aboard with a program was great. I was planning to study abroad in London since I was 15. I didn’t know how to transfer credit, if I needed a visa, how to find housing or anything and USAC help answer all of my questions. USAC also gave me the opportunity to work with an amazing license therapist that helped me adjust to the new country. I enjoyed having that extra support. I felt safer with USAC as I did a lot of solo backpacking around Europe but my program advisor always knew what country I was in and I had a adult emergency contact in Europe if that could help me out no matter what country I was in since USAC is in so many countries in Europe. I enjoyed having planned day trips that encouraged exploration of new culture. I also very much enjoyed being able to be a social media brand ambassador as that helped my CV. Below is a photo from the punting on the water in Oxford via Usac
