Gain insight into the plight of the iconic Iberian wolf and contribute directly to the conservation of this endangered species. And, in your free time, bask in the stunning natural surroundings whilst exploring Portuguese culture and heritage. The wolf sanctuary is located within stunning 18 hectares of forest, on the hillsides near Mafra, about 30km north of the capital city of Lisbon.
