The San Antonio Humane Society was established in 1952 in the United States and has been serving the community for over 70 years. As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to protect and improve the lives of dogs and cats through rescue, medical care, adoption, and education. We care for thousands of animals each year, many of whom have been abandoned, lost, or mistreated. Our goal is to find them safe, loving homes while also promoting responsible pet ownership. We welcome people from all walks of life—families, individuals, and anyone looking to adopt or learn more about animal care.
