Our program assists Canadian and foreign nationals aged 19-35 to experience secure paid work placements in agriculture, horticulture and hospitality sectors, with screened and accountable host families in Canada and participating countries. For over 30 years, our non-profit organization, which is a Recognized Organization of the Government of Canada, has supported the cross-cultural experiences of Canadian farmers. At the same time, we provide individual customized paid work placements for 3-12 months in our partner countries: Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, France, United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, USA and Japan. I always wanted to travel after I finished my degree in Agriculture. When I first heard about the A-Way-To-Work program in post-secondary, I knew this was an opportunity I didn't want to miss out on. I am passionate about the agriculture industry. Therefore, getting the chance to experience agriculture practices in a different part of the world seemed like a great way to get work experience and make new connections.
