Human Is Right needs the services of a Protection Officer who can support and handle the Monitoring, Documentation, and Reporting (MDR) of the Human Rights Violations and Abuses Program in Cameroon's North West and South West regions, with a main office in Buea.

The Protection Officer's role generally ensures quality implementation of MDR activities, including but not limited to:
Monitoring
Case Management
Assessment
Capacity building of human rights actors on mainstreaming policies
Training of community leaders
Emergency response for persons with specific needs while ensuring the inclusion of age, gender, and diversity

The Officer accompanies and supports Protection Assistants and Community Mobilizers, focusing on the quality and quantity of field monitoring, analysis, and reporting of protection incidents.

The role also involves working closely with other local and international NGOs (&INGOs) in the general protection cluster to ensure integration of program activities.
