Georgia Institute of Technology Reviews
Solid masters and cultural exposure

I would check the course offerings ahead of time to verify they align with your interests (esp. since this is a course-based masters), but for me they were great. Also, the administration was adaptive depending on student requests.
As far as the non-coursework aspects, there was a strong sense of community among the group, and the administration did a good job scheduling some field trips and events.
Overall, an efficient way to "hit two birds with one stone", i.e. academically and culturally. I think you will get more out of the experience if you learn some basic Chinese ahead of time, as it would allow to explore on your own. But either way, this is a solid degree (top 5-10 US eng. school) at a great rate as far as US tuition goes.
Same degree. great city. abundant industry opportunities!

Georgia Tech offers the same ECE master's degree program at less than half of the standard tuition in Shenzhen, the Silicon Valley of China. I finished all three semesters and earned my degree there. The city of Shenzhen is very modern and convenient, with hundreds of top tech companies and abundant career opportunities to explore.
An amazing experience.

Did the same degree requirements.
Subsidized cost. Brilliant experience.
The Chinese experience was unique for me. The exposure unmatched.
Exceptional support to get past the language barrier.
Both strongly academic and cultural

There was no difference to the main campus in terms of academic rigor; but this provided an additional cultural exploration, at reduced tuition rates. At a greatly reduced tuition, it's definitely worth spending a semester or two here.
