Do I need to be a native speaker of English to apply?

Yes. You also need to have been raised in an English-speaking country. However, exceptions may apply if you are fluent in the target language and your application is backed by your university.

No. CII will deliver an intensive TEFL course as part of your program in Argentina. This course aims to provide you with the basic teaching tools required for your placement in the country.

Will I be delivering traditional lessons in English?

No. You will perform as a language and culture facilitator and camp counselor. You will help develop a sense of authenticity in the classroom by bringing living aspects of your culture through workshops and projects, and you will work cooperatively with qualified teachers who will guide and supervise your work. As Camp Counsellors, you will design and run themed programs that revolve around historical or contemporary events and traditions.
