Class selection was good, particularly Art & Archaeology which I would consider a must. There's no city as good as Rome for learning about history given the plethora of ancient Roman sites and museums. Also, there was ample time for exploring Italy on my own.

Studying abroad in Italy is an absolute dream come true, offering an incredible mix of world-class education, deep historical immersion, and unforgettable weekend travels. It is the perfect destination if you want to balance your academic goals with a vibrant, slow-paced lifestyle full of incredible food, art, and culture.

I had honestly the most fun ever here with my friends! I thoroughly enjoyed my classes, learning about the culture, exploring Italy and Europe! It was life changing and I would highly recommend to everyone!

I had a really great time with my experience in Rome! I love my roommates and we’ve become really great friends. I’ve also had a great time exploring Rome and immersing myself in the culture while also being able to do weekend travel.

I felt like I lived in Rome for so long and got immersed to fast, it felt like I had lived here forever. This got me missing home, but that’s not a bad thing. I got enough non-academic days that it allowed me to explore other part of Italy and Europe too.

I had a wonderful experience with Barcelona SAE! They have been a huge help in every step of my study abroad experience, from coordinating my housing, providing an academic mentor to turn to with any questions, their curated website full of resources and recommendations, and hosting various social events throughout the semester to connect with fellow students. They made my transition to and time in Barcelona so much easier. I also can’t recommend the UB track enough. I felt like it was the perfect balance between rigorous language instruction and accommodation for non-native speakers, and all the professors were so enthusiastic and responsive to any questions or confusion. I can confidently say that my Spanish skills grew this semester largely due to my classes at UB, so if you’re looking for a great opportunity to improve your language skills, I would highly recommend!

This program truly exceeded my expectations. From the program staff to the professors themselves, everyone is so excited about assisting us students and making our experience so special. My housing was amazing and other students felt the same, especially with the apartments and home stays.

This program is for students who want to strike a balance between cultural immersion and familiarity. The program is very well organized with cultural activities and excursions every week to help students explore Barcelona and its surrounding areas with fellow students from the US. I especially enjoyed the “dinner with a local host family” event where I got to dine with a local family and learned more about Barcelona from the local perspective. Besides organizing these events, the program also sends out a weekly newsletter about what’s happening in Barcelona so students can explore on their own. The staff members are all very friendly and helpful; extremely responsive with any needs.

This study abroad program truly transformed my life. I fell in love with Barcelona almost immediately, and over time, the city became a place where I learned, grew, and discovered more about myself. By the end of the program, I realized I had become a more confident, independent, and open-minded person than when I first arrived. The experiences I had, both inside and outside the classroom, shaped the way I see the world and my future. I made unforgettable memories, built meaningful connections, and gained perspectives that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Studying abroad in Barcelona was genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From the start, BSAE made the semester unforgettable through incredible student activities like cooking, pottery, and flamenco classes and beautiful day trips to Montserrat, Girona, and more. Many of these experiences are now some of my favorite memories from abroad. SIS offered classes with a variety of topics that were especially interesting because of the field studies woven into the coursework. Being able to connect what we were learning directly to the city and its culture made everything feel more meaningful and engaging. I also made some of my best friends from my home university and from around the world through this program, and I’m incredibly grateful for the community and connections it gave me. Overall, the combination of academics, travel, and daily life in Barcelona made the semester both exciting and deeply impactful, and it’s an experience I would recommend to anyone considering studying abroad.

My time in Spain was truly unforgettable. From the very first day, my host family made me feel like I belonged they were welcoming, kind, and always ready to share their traditions, meals, and laughter. Living with them gave me a window into everyday Spanish life that I will always treasure. I also fell in love with the food it was fresh, flavorful, and every meal felt like a little celebration. I loved exploring the city, especially taking the metro and discovering new neighborhoods on my own. Nights out, dance classes, and spontaneous day trips, like the one to Girona, made every week an adventure. The Spanish people I met were warm, funny, and generous, and immersing myself in the language and culture taught me so much more than I expected. Of course, being far from my own family was hard at times, and I missed them dearly. But the friendships I made, the new experiences, and the personal growth I gained made it all worthwhile. Looking back, this experience wasn’t just a trip it was a life changing chapter full of laughter, and unforgettable memories. Thank you Todos and UAB for making this experience possible for me!

This program, the city, and the overall experience was incredibly life-changing. I came to Barcelona not really knowing anyone. BarcelonaSAE quickly changed that. The activities this program provided allowed me to make awesome friendships. Additionally, the cultural immersion adventures gave us a glimpse of life in Spain that I believe other programs could not have offered. The program also sent out weekly emails detailing things to do around the city. This was immensely helpful as someone who always wanted to do and see something. Additionally, the city of Barcelona is an extravagant city that has so many nice people, good food, and hidden gems. I can confidently say that I am returning to the US as a different person thanks to this city and this program.

My study abroad experience with BSAE was truly amazing and stands out as one of the most meaningful (and one of my favorite) chapters of my academic and personal life. Living and learning in a city so rich in culture, history, and energy allowed me to deepen my connection to Spain while also seeing it through a fresh, independent lens. Academically, the experience pushed me to think more critically about communication, culture, and global perspectives, especially through coursework that had a lot of discussions, observation, and real-world engagement beyond the classroom. The teachers surpass expectations by constantly being engaging and supportive. This experience changed the way I approach life, and I couldn't have done it without the help of the team members of BSAE. Immersing myself in a city that blends history, creativity, and constant movement taught me to slow down and appreciate the present rather than obsess over structure and perfection. Throughout these 3 and a half months, I learned to let go of being so uptight and instead embrace flexibility, spontaneity, and optimism. The experience reinforced my interest in international perspectives and cross-cultural understanding, while giving me unforgettable memories and skills I’ll carry forward. Choosing to go to Barcelona with BSAE was the best decision I have made in my life. Even if you have doubts, go. I promise you won't regret it.

From the first day in this beautiful city, the Barcelona Study Abroad Experience makes every student feel like family. Two moments in particular stood out to me, exemplifying the care and consideration that this program provides. Firstly, the inaugural tapas lunch was a fantastic welcome. The school brought us to a restaurant on the beach and treated us to an extensive meal of local cuisine. Sharing a delicious lunch with new classmates and academic mentors proved to be a great opportunity to make friendships that lasted the entire semester and beyond. Secondly, following an international trip, I suffered from a respiratory infection and had to miss two consecutive days of classes. On the second day, I received a personal email from the Senior Coordinator of Student Life checking in to make sure I was healthy and taken care of. This kind of attention to detail and personalization is precisely the service that makes this program so irrefutably excellent. Having attended seven schools in my life, I can confidently attest to the attention to detail and opportunities that this program consistently provides, and I would be eager to recommend Barcelona SAE to any of my fellow students.

If you're thinking about doing this program, DO IT! I am so thrilled with my choice to come to Barcelona, especially after learning Spanish in my undergraduate program. It was as beautiful and historic as I imagined. The fellow students in the program made the experience even better; I've truly made best friends for a lifetime. Barcelona SAE is special. Everyone who works in the program wants the best for you. My internship placement was exactly what I had hoped for, a combination of my writing major and minors in theatre and Spanish. I received so much help and support from pre-arrival until after arriving back home. My mentor, Vivian, was always ecstatic to hear from me and get coffee with me, encouraging all I did there. They truly want you to see the best places in Barcelona and across Spain. I would recommend this program a hundred times over.

Participating in the Barcelona SAE program and interning at the Global LegalTech Hub in Barcelona has genuinely been one of the best decisions I've made. I’ve made amazing friends through the program and feel lucky to have roommates I genuinely get along with. We’ve become a little family abroad. Beyond the internship, this summer has been filled with new experiences, with weekend getaways to Porto, Rome, and Amsterdam that have opened my eyes to different cultures, histories, and perspectives. Whether it’s sharing tapas in a crowded Barcelona plaza, biking through Amsterdam’s canals, or watching the sunset on a Roman rooftop, every moment has felt like something I’ll remember for the rest of my life. This experience has taught me how to navigate new environments, connect with people from different backgrounds, and embrace both spontaneity and independence. I couldn’t recommend it more as it’s been enriching in every sense.

My experience with the Barcelona SAE Internship Program was amazing and incredibly valuable — both professionally and personally. The housing at The Social Hub Hotel was amazing. It was comfortable, modern, and perfectly located, which made it easy to explore the city and connect with other students in the program. One of the highlights was our day trip to L’Escala — amazing views, the beach, and the chance to explore a smaller town in Spain made it a memorable part of the summer. I also really enjoyed attending a Flamenco dance class, which gave me a deeper appreciation for Spanish culture and was very fun. The Barcelona SAE staff was always helpful, friendly, and supportive. From orientation to check-ins and events, they made sure we felt comfortable and prepared. The intern events were fun, informative, and helped me meet a lot of new friends in the program from across the U.S. I interned at Harmony Serviced Residences, a luxury apartment building, where I gained hands-on experience in tourism, hospitality, and customer service — all while improving my Spanish and learning about business principles as well. This opportunity helped me build real-world skills and gave me insight into what I might want to pursue in the future. I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in exploring a new city, culture, and gaining new experiences.

Studying abroad with Barcelona SAE has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I made lifelong friends from around the world, explored new cultures, and felt completely supported throughout my time here. I think this truly was such an amazing experience for me because without the HBCU program, I would not be able to travel this far. I will always be grateful for the new activities, foods, and people I have interacted with. I am excited to see the growth in the program and see how they empower HBCUs in the future.

I can't say enough amazing things about my time in this program. I came here not knowing anyone and have made friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. I had so many great times in and out of the classroom, and felt supported the whole time. I opted for the June term, and all I can say is that it flew by and I only wish I could stay longer. From the amazing food, celebrations, day trips, and everything in between I have fallen in love with this city. I can't recommend it enough to all those that are considering!

I had a wonderful time in Barcelona doing a Maymester abroad. I wanted to study abroad, but could not commit to a full semester or summer program, so this 20-day program was perfect for me. I did a homestay, which allowed me to connect with the local culture and experience life with family from Barcelona. I enjoyed the course I took, which was about the Peoples of Spain. We had a multitude of field studies, which took us into the city of Barcelona to explore the concepts we read about in real life. The program has a handful of included cultural activities that allowed me to explore the city even better, such as a cava tasting tour and a rowboat session in the park with local students. I enjoyed the high degree of independence the program allowed for, as I enjoy solo travel and was able to use my free time to explore Catalonia. Having BSAE gave me a strong basis of support to lean on if I needed it during my time abroad. I really enjoyed this program and recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning something new and truly experiencing Barcelona as a local!

Oh how I wish I could stay in Barcelona for longer! Barcelona SAE has been the perfect way to experience life abroad. I am so grateful that the program offers a three week option, allowing me to explore a new city while leaving time to complete an internship back home later in the summer. Upon my arrival to Barcelona, I was nervous because I didn't know anyone else in the program, and had not been informed of the names of my roommates in my apartment. It turns out I had no reason to worry, because we all became great friends instantly! Three of my roommates were in my same course, so we did pretty much everything together and I look forward to calling them my friends for life. The Barcelona Bucket List was a great way to fill our free time and make sure we saw the best that the city had to offer. I also loved experiencing Barcelona through my course's field studies and activities planned by Barcelona SAE. My personal favorites included a trip to the Olympic Museum and the Hiking Club of Catalonia, a cooking class at La Boqueria, a tour of El Raval, and a visit to the Les Cortes and Camp Nou area. Professor Xavier taught me so much about the culture of Catalonia through the lens of sports. I found his class to be extremely interesting. When my friends and family called me to ask how my experience was going, I would spend at least half of the call talking about all of the cool things I had learned and seen in class. Professor Xavier truly wants his students to succeed, and I recommend his courses to all future students. Barcelona will have a special place in my heart for the rest of my life, and I am so grateful to Barcelona SAE for allowing me to experience this beautiful city and the Catalan culture!

Given that this was my first time outside of the United States, I only opted for the 3 week May program. Nonetheless, this was arguably the best 3 weeks of my life. I came to Barcelona without knowing anyone, but am glad to say I have made countless friends that have made my experience an awesome one. I initially chose Barcelona SAE because of my interest in Spanish culture—from the language, to the food, to the community—and it exceeded every expectation that I had going into this program. I lived in a homestay to experience a heightened cultural immersion and it was perfect for me. I was able to bond with my host family and have cultural dinners every night while practicing my Spanish ability. Outside of the homestay I was able to explore nearly every part of Barcelona, whether through the program trips or on trips with my new friends. Everyday we were able to try new foods, see new places, and make lifelong memories. Of course, this trip wasn't only traveling and immersing myself into the culture, there was class as well. Nonetheless, my class was very intriguing and helped me think of future career paths that I never saw possible before coming to Barcelona. My professor was nice, understanding and very knowledgable about the topic that she was teaching. The class was about the startup economy in Barcelona and it was interesting not only learning about it, but seeing real life examples through our field studies. Overall, the course, culture, and community is what made the program with Barcelona SAE so special for me. I can't wait to not only come back to Barcelona but potentially study abroad again in Spain over the next few years. If you plan on studying abroad, choose Barcelona SAE.

This was an unforgettable experience forever engrained in my heart. Before the semester started, I was nervous about adjusting to life abroad, but studying in Barcelona through BSAE exceeded all expectations. The support from the program made the transition incredibly smooth, from the moment I landed. BSAE created so many opportunities to connect with other students early on, and those connections quickly turned into lasting friendships. Thanks to the generous scholarships I received, I was able to fully embrace the experience—not only exploring the richness of life in Barcelona, but also traveling to different parts of Europe, which broadened my perspective in so many ways. The program's events, like the trip to Valencia, ceramics and cooking classes, and other cultural activities, helped me dive deeper into Spanish culture while also making meaningful memories. This semester abroad was truly life-changing. My son studied abroad in Barcelona through CEA CAPA, and while the experience overall was positive, the housing process was frustrating and unclear. He was charged $1,500 for a so-called "Shared Double Plus Room," which we later learned only meant a standard shared room with air conditioning - a feature not requested or used during the winter. The room itself was extremely small with beds pushed together and no real storage. Communication about housing upgrades was vague, and the responses I received never fully addressed our concerns. I hope CEA CAPA improves transparency around housing options and fees for future families.

I had a wonderful experience with Barcelona SAE during the Spring 2025 SIS + Internship program! The staff were incredible, friendly, supportive, and clearly passionate about what they do. It was easy to approach anyone from the activities, marketing, or internship teams, and they genuinely made the experience smoother and more enjoyable. I stayed in a shared student apartment, which was clean and well-located. It’s a great option if you want a common living space and to meet people. That said, I realized I personally prefer more privacy and might have enjoyed a residence hall more. My apartment-mates were already friends from the same university, which made it harder to connect socially at first. Socially, it was a bit tricky to branch out since many students came with friends from one of two universities. Still, I had a great time, just be ready to put yourself out there! Don’t be afraid to start conversations, and if you can, consider joining with a friend. Academically, I loved the classes, especially because of the field studies that took us around the city. One of my favorites was Savoring Spain, where we learned about Spanish cuisine and got to taste it too! I also highly recommend doing the internship component. It was a great way to experience Spanish work culture and build professional skills. It might affect your schedule a bit, but with good communication, you can still travel and make the most of your weekends. Overall, Barcelona SAE created an amazing environment to learn, grow, and explore. I’d recommend this program to anyone looking for a mix of academics, culture, and hands-on experience abroad!

My semester abroad with Barcelona SAE has been nothing short of amazing! Entering the semester, I was worried about how I might adapt, but BSAE made the transition so easy. There were so many ways to meet people within the program starting the first day we arrived and BSAE did a great job at helping me through the semester with any questions I had. Additionally, the trips and activities planned through the program were such a great way to learn more about Spain. I participated in a lot of these events including a cooking class, a trip to Valencia, a ceramics class, and more! Overall, BSAE was very helpful and accommodating in such a busy time. I am so grateful for my time abroad, and will miss Barcelona dearly!

I studied abroad my last semester of college and it was one of the best decisions I made because met amazing people from different parts of the world and learned to be on my own. Most of my classes were all well oriented around learning about Barcelona, which gave a lot of insight on the city and the Catalan culture. The program events and day trips were great, and well planned. From someone who hasn’t traveled Europe and came to Barcelona with no idea what to expect, I would definitely recommend studying thru BSAE to be part of your study abroad journey!

Barcelona SAE placed me with a company that I was unsure about at the beginning, but it turned out to be better than I could've asked for. Throughout the program, I learned so much about excelling at things outside of my comfort zone and I was given the support to succeed thanks to the SAE program. My mentors, the orientation staff, and even other SAE students were very encouraging and pushed me beyond what I believed I was capable of. In my internship, I established valuable connections, learned about international business and European work culture, and gained experience to further my career in Marketing and Communications. I went into this experience with an open-mind and sought out many of the endless opportunities available. If you are wanting to grow both academically and personally, this is the program for you.

One of my most challenging moments during my study abroad internship in Spain were also the most rewarding. When I arrived, my Spanish was limited, but I was determined to learn to communicate better with my supervisor and coworkers at the vet clinic. After observing several surgeries, I was told I would be the next surgical technician, handing instruments to the doctor. I knew many of the instruments but struggled with their Spanish pronunciations. I had never scrubbed in on a surgery before, and I was nervous about breaking the sterile field. Over the next week, I practiced the names of instruments, asking for help with the ones I struggled with. The night before the surgery, I watched videos on how to properly put on sterile gear and observed surgeries in Spanish. Despite my nerves, I successfully put on my gloves and gown and organized the instruments. The surgery went smoothly, and I could anticipate the doctor’s needs and understood his instructions. The doctor was proud of my progress and even took a picture to show my parents. The challenge was immense, but the effort made it one of the most rewarding experiences of my internship abroad.

Barcelona SAE gave me the opportunity to save money (was in TODOS scholarship) and prepared me to have the best experience I could ask for. Everything went smoothly and exceeded my expectations! Especially the day trips super fun. ?

I really enjoyed this program and couldn't ask for anything more. I felt super supported by staff and my professors. I enjoyed that the class sizes were not that big so that I could connect with my classmates one on one. During the first few days of the program, I felt super out of place because I come from a HBCU where everyone is African American and looks similar to me. As classes went on I began to open up to the students and create genuine connections. I really appreciated the activities during integration week although they were early lol. It gave me the opportunity to network with other students before classes even begun. I enjoyed all the program activities, my favorite one was the cooking class and also the weekend trips. In the beginning I was living in a homestay and felt super isolated and lonely, I found that once I moved to the apartment I made stronger connections and was able to cook for myself which I enjoyed. Academic wise I enjoyed my classes, mostly my psychology one. I will take the route in becoming a psychologist so it was cool to go on field studies and talk with therapist about their daily lives. I enjoyed the program and my mentor, I would do this again if I could!

Overall, I had the most wonderful experience in Barcelona taking classes through SAE's own School of International Studies (SIS) and interning abroad. I was enrolled in three classes at SIS and did the supplemental internship seminar for an additional three credits. My internship placement was for a non-profit thinktank organization that aligned very well with my vague career goals. Even with little information about what exactly I wanted to pursue a career in, the internships placement team worked hard to find a placement for me that appealed to my broad interests within my majors. The internships coordinator was very helpful in acclimating me to a new work environment and scheduled regular one-on-one check-ins with me outside of the internship seminar, which were very useful and enriched the overall experience. In general, my classes were interesting, taught by great professors, and deepened my understanding and appreciation for the Spanish culture, history, language, and food. The strongest element of the program was the support from staff. Each staff member went above and beyond to remember everyone's names and were very friendly and always available to help the students. Most information was communicated clearly by both the on-site team and off-site team from before arrival up until the last week before departure. If you are considering studying and interning in Barcelona through Barcelona SAE, do it! I could not recommend this program enough.

Growing up, I received National Geographic kids's magazines monthly via subscription. I vividly remember keeping a collection of them in my closet and spending my days reading about the various locations around the world and the animals that make up these ecosystems. From the luscious prairies of Africa to the jungles of South America, and even Antarctica; the places of the world began to feel wider than the community I was accustomed to. These early memories catalyzed my passion for international travel and sparked my desire to not only explore my city, but the world at large. Coming from Los Angeles, I got to meet individuals from all over the world, hear their stories and perspectives, and increase my desire to see the world. It created a fantasy for me in getting to see the world, and as I grew up, my global perspective began to shift with the times. When the opportunity offered itself to study Intern in Barcelona, I knew I had to jump onto the opportunity, as it would be a culmination of the love story that has been developing over the last decade for me and the world. I knew I owed it to both my younger self, but also my future self to step out of my comfort zone and venture to Espana. For that, I am eternally grateful for the aid and guidance Barcelona SAE provided during my time there. Both the coursework to the nuggets of information and activities that immersed myself and others in the Barcelona way of life. I will never forget my time in Barcelona, and that is due to Barcelona SAE.

Studying abroad with Barcelona SAE was a truly unforgettable experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the housing arrangements to the thoughtfully organized activities and academics, every aspect of the program was designed to make our time in Barcelona as immersive and enriching as possible. I stayed in Beyoo Poble Sec, and it couldn’t have been more ideal. The location was perfect, located in a residential neighborhood that made me feel connected to the local culture and only about 20 minutes away from any destination I wanted to explore in Barcelona. SAE truly shines when it comes to the activities they organize for students. Some of my favorite trips were those arranged by the program, especially the excursion to País Vasco (Basque Country). This trip was a highlight of my time abroadm not only because the region itself is incredible, but also because Barcelona SAE took care of all the details, making it a smooth, stress-free experience. It gave me the chance to bond with other students while immersing myself in the culture in a way that independent trips couldn’t always offer. The staff’s passion for engaging students in the local culture was evident in everything they did, from activity planning to encouraging us to participate in unique cultural experiences. The academic component of the program was just as impactful. While the course structure and content were quite different from my home university, the classes were thoughtfully tailored to connect with our lived experiences in Barcelona. I found myself constantly drawing connections between what I was learning in class and what I was experiencing in the city. This not only deepened my understanding of Barcelona but also gave me a wealth of knowledge to share when my family visited, I became their go-to tour guide! Barcelona SAE provides an all-encompassing study abroad experience that allows students to grow academically, culturally, and personally. From the supportive staff to the well-organized housing and enriching activities, the program is clearly designed with students in mind. If you’re looking for a program that fosters meaningful connections, cultural immersion, and personal growth, Barcelona SAE is an excellent choice. I’ll carry the memories and lessons I gained during my time in Barcelona for the rest of my life.

I am forever grateful to have been able to study abroad in Barcelona via SAE. Thank you to the staff that supported me in my transition here and to the professors who really aided by appreciation of the culture and history of this beautiful city. To anyone having doubts of studying abroad: dont! Make sure to really immerse yourself with the culture and locals and your experience will be 10x better. Do not be afraid to ask for recommendations from the people at SAE or people you meet on the streets :)

My title truly does not do this experience justice! Studying abroad in Barcelona opened my eyes and gave me so many wonderful experiences that I will cherish for a lifetime. I highly recommend Barcelona SAE as they made the process of moving to an entirely different country seamless. Their ability to answer every question you may have, willingness to help, and organization and planning are just a few things that this program exceeds at. They have truly worked their hardest to make sure that the students in their program are as acclimated to this new environment as possible and to provide us with new experiences. The trips and activities that Barcelona SAE offers are like no other and helped me to get to know the local culture within Barcelona and to visit places that I would not have thought of visiting in Spain. On another note, the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona did an amazing job of providing a quality education for students that are coming from different parts of the world. As an American student studying abroad, I really appreciated the variety of backgrounds and different ways of life that I learned about from making friends with and being in classes with students from Germany, Brazil, China, and Morrocco. This school prioritizes a global view and does a very good job of challenging its students while also understanding that most of us are taking on the role of world travelers. Regarding travel, I had the opportunity of visiting 18 new places, 7 new countries, and 2 new continents. Experiencing new places and cultures is something that I have always dreamed of and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to travel. It is true that traveling and immersing yourself in new environments gives you something that school can never teach you. Although I took advantage of my time to travel, I think that it is also important to note that I made sure to spend a lot of time in Barcelona as well. This city is truly one of a kind and is the absolute perfect home base for studying abroad. In my opinion, you could never get bored in Barcelona and the location, culture, weather, and history truly speak for themselves. In the end, I am coming out of this semester happier and more fulfilled than I could have imagined. Speaking from experience, if you are at all nervous or hesitant to study abroad, this is your sign that it is truly the most amazing experience. I came to Spain alone and made friends that will last me a lifetime.

Studying abroad with BSAE has been a life-changing experience. This semester, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to eight incredible countries, including Venice, Copenhagen, and London, each offering unforgettable experiences. In Venice, I wandered through its maze-like streets, marveled at the beauty of St. Mark’s Basilica, and took a serene gondola ride along the canals. The city’s timeless charm and unique architecture left a lasting impression. In Copenhagen, I biked through its colorful streets, admired the iconic Nyhavn waterfront, and embraced the city's eco-friendly and modern vibe. London offered a mix of history and energy, from seeing the majestic Tower of London to experiencing the buzz of Covent Garden and the iconic Big Ben. Back in my host city, I immersed myself in Catalan culture, attending vibrant local festivals like the Castells, where I witnessed human towers that symbolize unity and tradition. I explored architectural wonders like the Sagrada Família and indulged in delicious Catalan dishes such as pa amb tomàquet. This semester has been more than just travel; it’s been a journey of personal growth. Each destination taught me to embrace new cultures, adapt to unfamiliar environments, and connect with people from different backgrounds. From navigating language barriers to learning the unspoken rules of different societies, I’ve gained invaluable life skills. These experiences have expanded my world perspective and created lasting memories. Studying abroad has been an incredible blend of exploration, education, and discovery, leaving me with a deep appreciation for the diversity and richness of the world.

I had the best time studying abroad with CEA Capa in Sevilla, Spain. I lived with a host mom who was great at sharing her culture and food. We still talk to this day and she was a wonderful host. My class was amazing and is one of my favorite classes I have taken to this day. I loved the different perspectives presented on global communication. My internship placement was also great and a learned a lot. CEA hosted several events that really helped me connect and make friends with other people in my program. It was a great experience and I highly recommend choosing to study abroad with CEA.

Studying in Madrid with CEA Capa was so much fun! It was truly a life changing experience and CEA made it as smooth as possible. CEA is super helpful with finding housing for you and helping you get set up with roommates, as well as flights, a ride from the airport, a metro card, etc.. It is a huge leap to leave the country for months at a time, but CEA makes it feel so easy. This is such a once in a lifetime opportunity and I really grew so much from being immersed in a different culture for 3 months. I made lifelong friends and memories that I will hold forever. Madrid is also the perfect city to live in for study abroad! It is great if you are looking to work on your Spanish skills and challenge yourself to leave in a busy city environment that highly values relaxation and fun!

Studying abroad with CEA Capa in Florence was one of the best decisions I have made! Prior to departure, CEA Capa staff were always willing to help with any questions I had. They did an amazing job finding us our housing in the perfect location and great amenities. There were always activities to do around the city that were organized by CEA Capa and the classes were all so interesting and fun. I learned so much about Italian culture that I never would have without these classes.

I was feeling rather excited for the experience I knew I was in for, but was unsure how being in a new country speaking a language that I am not great at, and having very little idea of what to expect, getting to Costa Rica was super awesome, but slightly daunting. I decided to run at everything head on, taking opportunities presented to us as foreign students and making the most of my time there. I learned how to be in a new and foreign place, while meeting sweet people and seeing amazing things.

Traveling to Buenos Aires was an incredible experience! I was nervous initially since it was my first study-abroad experience. I was unfamiliar with the culture, environment, and language and did not know what to expect. The warm hospitality and generosity I received from on-site program staff and locals guided me through all the ups and downs of the experience. The program challenged me to come out of my comfort zone both academically and socially. We attended physics classes at a local university and a sports and contemporary culture class right after. We learned about the history of the country and experienced the Argentinians' passion for futbol firsthand by attending games. My friends and I explored the city after classes, trying out some of the many cafes and restaurants on every corner. Buenos Aires had a very reliable transportation system as well, so it was easy for us to travel from our apartment in Palermo to other neighborhoods in the city like Belgrano, La Boca, and Recoleta. Each neighborhood had something different and wonderful to offer. We often ran into cultural fairs, art festivals, fresh farmer markets, and live performances. There was something fun to discover every day. On the weekends, we traveled outside of the city to see the numerous natural landscapes in Argentina. We saw the falls at Iguazu, went horseback riding in Mendoza, went hiking at the Perito Moreno Glacier and El Chalten, and even visited a cute portside town in Uruguay. Although my time in Argentina was short, the incredible people, food, and music are a memory I will never forget.

CEA Capa's program in Barcelona, Spain was very meaningful and memorable. The program helped me immerse myself into the culture of Spain through excursions and activities while helping me progress academically. I am thankful for the experiences CEA CAPA has given me and for all of the lessons and friends I made along the way.

The people in CEA CAPA are some of the most kind and helpful people I have met throughout the whole process of studying abroad. They made me feel heard and helped me with many of the challenges I have faced when going abroad. Seville itself is the most amazing place to study abroad. The food, people, and overall atmosphere were truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I loved everything about Seville and couldn't recommend it more to other students.

Studying abroad with CEA CAPA has changed my life. The cultural differences that I experienced really opened my eyes to so much more. I felt that the staff at CEA CAPA were extremely helpful in all aspects. They made the transition to Barcelona very smooth and exciting. They also coordinated many different programs and activities for us to take part in that were so fun and different than anything I would have done in the United States. The education was also great. I really enjoyed my class about Spanish Civilization and Culture. We explored Barcelona and learned about its history. This made my experience even more amazing! I could talk for hours about how much I loved my experience with CEA CAPA in Barcelona and I would highly recommend it to everyone!

I had an amazing time, thanks to CEA CAPA, in Florence, Italy. I stayed with a roommate in the cutest apartment ever, and me and 16 other Biomedical Engineering students from the University of Miami all studied together in a CEACAPA classroom. They set up the best trips and programs for us and were so helpful when we needed anything: from a doctor, to a restaurant recommendation, or knowing where the best running trails are. I now work with CEA CAPA as an ambassador, and my experience there has been great as well. If you are considering studying abroad, look into doing it with CEA CAPA!

Spending time abroad in Florence was genuinely a dream. My street, lined with charming cobblestones, became my home in a way I never expected. Every corner and store of that street holds memories I miss deeply, like the family who took me in as one of their own. They fed me, ate with me, and helped me translate when I needed a cab or help on my italian homework, those simple meals turned into life long memories. There was the bar down the street that by night, buzzed with laughter and new local friends. By day, it was a little refuge where I could have cappuccino with the owner before class. Florence was more than just a city; it became a home filled with people I miss deeply and experiences I will treasure for life. It left a mark on me that I’ll carry with me always.

I had an amazing experience with CEA abroad in Barcelona Spain. I met amazing friends, had so much support from the teachers and staff at the school, and I had so many amazing experiences. The staff helped me find a good doctor when I sprained my ankle and was there for me for any concerns I had while I was abroad. The teachers were nice and made the class enjoyable and interesting. Class was in a great area right in the city center and I would go shopping each day after class. It was so much fun for me but maybe not my wallet as much. I had the best time traveling, specifically to Amsterdam and Tromsø Norway. The food was also great I loved trying new tapas and I experienced many great restaurants. A couple of my favorites were La Flauta, a Spanish restaurant, and La Balabusta, a Mediterranean restaurant. These were among some of my favorite meals. I also loved my housing. I lived in a student housing apartment building. I took the metro which is great there, to class every day and I met some great friends on my floor who were in my program. I think about my time in Barcelona every day and I can't wait to go back and experience more things that CEA and being abroad opened my eyes to.

My time in Granada through CEA CAPA was amazing. From beginning to end, I felt supported and encouraged in all my endeavors. The excursions I went on were so impactful, the classes I took were insightful, and my housing was perfect. I do not have enough words to express how amazing this program was.

I found the program through UC Berkeley's Summer Global Internships program so my application process was very easy to submit. Once accepted I began working with the program coordinators both in the US and in Spain to begin internship selection. The mandatory class offered as a supplement to our internship was very fun and interesting and an easy A+ if you're willing to interact and ask questions in lectures, which is an easy task since our professor was super personable. My internship placement was spot on. I'm a media studies/Communications student interested in a career in social media marketing and I was placed in a dance studio to help run their social media. For my placement, the internship team reached out to me to schedule a 15-minute short interview that allowed me to speak about what I wanted from the internship. After my interview notes and resume were received by the prospective companies/organizations was I then contacted by another team and the company recruiters for the interview. The interview was simple and to the point, asking me questions about myself the level of Spanish I know (not mandatory to know), and what I was to expect from working there. I filled out a questionnaire after the interview was over which notified the placement team of my interest in the company. Something I noticed, however, is that if you are interested in a specific field or position, you must cater your resume to the position you want. Make sure to include skills and experience you have that are relevant to your dream internship. The apartment was very nice, I was luckily placed in a not-so-touristy area which I loved, it was near the Barcelona Sants station and Estacio metro stop so it was super close to transit. The rooms were clean when we arrived and came furnished with everything we needed; sheets, towels, tv, couches, pans, and pots. There luckily was AC in my unit which was a nice plus. Upon my arrival in Barcelona, I booked a taxi to the Barcelona SAE center for my quick orientation then later was sent off in a taxi to my apartment courtesy of the program. Upon arriving, there was a team member who led me up to the apartment and showed me to my room. The programming was very fun and interactive. I usually only hung out with people from my university as that's who was in my class. however, BSAE held many fun dance classes, cooking classes, walking tours, etc. that allowed me to meet new people from different universities. I also really appreciated our farewell tapas night, held on a rooftop with a view of the Sagrada Familia. The food was amazing and everyone (Berkeley students) was given a picture and a magnet to remember the experience. Move-out was smooth, everyone was made to clear out their space, clean up, and leave their keys in the apartment. The programming was fun, and worth the money spent. In all honestly the programming was VERY expensive compared to other study abroad programs, and as a low-income student who is usually covered 100% by financial aid, it was difficult to pay the 2k my financial aid was not able to cover. While it was expensive I do believe my tuition money was well spent, my program paid for our metro passes, fun dance classes, food during some of our classes, a nice apartment, and charter buses for field trips. I do love that Barcelona SAE does offer some scholarships. Depending on your program, you can apply for different scholarships that range from $200 to half your tuition so APPLY! Overall, I had a lot of fun and made a lot of friends. Barcelona SAE has really set the standard when it comes to study abroad programming and I definitely recommend them if you are interested in a fun experience in one of the greatest cities in the world.

I spent the fall of my junior year abroad in Madrid, Spain, and it was the best decision I had made for myself. Through CEA CAPA Programming and Housing assignments, I met some of the best people I have ever met. My eight roommates and other friends supported me endlessly during my time abroad. My favorite memory is the 24-person Friendsgiving my roommates and I hosted; that was the moment we all knew how abroad had impacted us and our long-lasting friendships. The most common questions regarding my experience from people interested in going abroad are about academics, social life, and traveling. I studied at the Universidad de Carlos III in Spain, and only half of the classes I took during my time abroad were related to my major. The rest were considered general elective credit because I knew I wanted a more flexible schedule when I was abroad. I would say that they were at about the same difficulty level as my home university. Another question I often get is about the commute to campus. In my opinion, Madrid has one of the best metro systems in Europe. It is incredibly convenient and easy to understand. My apartment was in Madrid, and the Carlos campus is in Getafe, a little out of Madrid. I took the Cercanias train straight to school from my apartment, and the commute took about 45 minutes. I wish it was shorter and at first, I thought commuting was crazy, but my roommates and I got used to it. It was also one of the first times I had ever experienced public transportation alone. I also structured my classes so that I only had to commute there and back once a day, and I spent time in the library between classes. One of my favorite memories is that my friends and I always got a cafe con leche and a pastry for 1.60 euros daily between classes. The social life in Spain is very alive. There was always something new to do, and it felt like the city had never slept. Our favorite tapas place is called Malaspina in the city center. The staff laughed every time we walked in because of how often we would go. My friends and I also loved to explore new places in different neighborhoods. My favorite neighborhood was Malasaña because it felt young. My favorite trip was to Sevilla, which CEA CAPA organized. It was a beautiful location, and the trip felt stress-free. Not only were all my friends on this trip, but we could take our time rather than feel like we had to be on the go compared to other trips I had been on. The program also organized different optional tours during this trip, making coordinating easier.

I felt so immersed and so comfortable in my scope of exploration, travel and academics so quickly and fondly with the CEA Team at the CEA Paris Center ! With weekly tastings of local cultural foods, beverages and humanities, workshops, community events, there was never a dull moment !

Going abroad to London with CEA CAPA was an amazing experience! All the staff was very helpful and effective, they had everything ready for your arrival and they kept in touch during the whole program. The classes I took were amazing, most of them had a lot of field trips related to class content so it was very fun and engaging. I also did an internship abroad which helped me immerse in the culture and grow professionally and personally. London is an awesome multicultural city full of things to do and learn. My experience abroad with this program was amazing!

My time in Aix-en-Provence was the best decision I have ever made. I got hands-on experience with the french language and massively improved my skills. The semester abroad was also a great chance for me to be independent and practice the skills needed to live alone.

I had so much fun with Barcelona SAE! They truly made it a priority for us to feel as comfortable as possible during our internships. They were always available for questions and concerns, and gave us emergency contact cards if we ever needed help. The staff were always kind and welcoming — I was always so excited to walk into the Barcelona SAE office and be greeted with smiles and laughs. Would definitely recommend :)

CEA CAPA Barcelona was a fantastic way to experience Europe for the first time. Classes were held Monday-Thursday, so long weekends were perfect for traveling. Barcelona was a phenomenal city to call home for 3.5 months. CEA CAPA prepared students to go abroad with a step-by-step pre-departure process that made the logistics of going abroad far less daunting. While we were there, CEA CAPA provided us with cultural workshops, optional trips to explore other parts of Spain, and more. My favorite class while abroad was called Intercultural Interactions: A Psychological Perspective. This course was designed for students to gain a certain level of cultural competence. It broadened my perspective on different cultural situations and challenges that I had not encountered. The class really opened my eyes to the complexity of culture by relating it to psychological concepts. I also loved my professors. They were always looking out for us as students and as people in a new environment. I felt like they really cared about us, which was so cool. Highly recommend CEA CAPA Barcelona!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience studying abroad in Seville, Spain through CEA Capa Abroad. They have an amazing support team that guides you through the entire pre-departure process, as well as site administrators and teachers for when you arrive. I thankfully did not have any particularly difficult situations while abroad, but it was reassuring knowing that I had people I could reach out to for assistance if needed. CEA Capa has so many programs across the world and internship connections for a wide range of studies. Highly recommend for students looking for their perfect program!!

My experience with the Barcelona SAE has been amazing. My summer program with Barcelona SAE included a Mediterranean Foods and Culture class and an internship. The class was small and the professor was very engaging and I enjoyed the fieldwork we had as part of the class. My internship helped me improve my skills and also learn new software. I learned a lot about my field of study and had an insight into how it might look. The teams in Barcelona SAE did an amazing job organizing the program for students to get the best experience.  I lived in a homestay with 2 other girls and our host family made our experience in Barcelona even better. They gave us advice, and recommendations, and let us know of any local events happening in Barcelona. We all bonded together and never run out of topics to talk about which makes dinner really enjoyable. I appreciated that the homestay was in a less touristy region, which allowed me to get a more authentic local experience. I recommend the Barcelona SAE program because they have so many activities, such as cooking classes, and they provide personalized support. The staff are an amazing resource and easy to reach out to.

I had the best time abroad with CEA CAPA! I felt so supported every step of the way. It can be very overwhelming trying to get a visa, knowing what to pack, and booking flights but I felt so supported with an advisor from the CEA staff. Once I landed in Spain I got picked up from the airport and there was always someone there for me to talk to with any questions. Regarding safety and health there was so much help if you needed to go to the doctors or get some help. Highly suggest CEA.

My experience abroad has been pretty good! Barcelona is a packed city with lots of people (which can be overwhelming sometimes) and super hot in July, but through this program I have received a great education. My Spanish A2 class was one of the best classes I have ever taken, receiving one on one practice and feedback and feeling very comfortable and humored in my class. My current International Marketing class is also very informative, but not as structured as I would prefer with some confusion and lack of clarification on many things. In terms of spending, it it very easy to spend money on eating out especially since we were not allowed to cook at the home stay, but there are definitely ways around this by shopping at super markets such as Aldi. My housing experience was not so great, as my host family was not flexible and treated me disrespectfully, so I was able to experience student dorms as well. This provided me with much more freedom and comfort, but my AC started leaking and no one fixed it after asking multiple times. The dorm I am staying in also has thin doors, so I have been woken up almost every night by groups of children traveling abroad. In terms of the people and friendships that I have created, most people in the SAE program are nice and open to being friends especially on arrival and I have made some awesome friends that I will definitely be seeing back in the US, and the general public in Spain is also very nice! I haven never lived in a big city like Barcelona before, so exploring all of the little streets and coffee shops has been so much fun, and I have never walked this much in my life! I am very happy to have experienced what I have in these 2 months because I have learned a lot about myself and what I want in my future. It has been very eye opening and I feel way more cultured the more I travel.

I had an excellent time during my semester abroad in Barcelona. I took Spanish classes at the University of Barcelona, along with upper division GEs at the CEA CAPA building. Both schools were located in the heart of Barcelona. Getting on the plane to begin my journey, I knew no one. But after a few weeks, I made friends through my apartment, classes, CEA CAPA social activities and field trips, and travelling around the country together with my new friends. The city of Barcelona had great food, culture, nightlife, and made travelling to other cities in Spain and other countries in Europe very easy. I really enjoyed volunteering at a local high school as an English assistant, an opportunity through CEA CAPA. The staff at CEA CAPA were very supportive of student's needs, and the students were all very friendly and open to new friends, and most came from different colleges in the United States, with many students from my school. I recommend being as involved in the program as possible, as you will get out what you put in. I was involved in CEAs classes, sports, field trips, and activities, which paid off in friendships, networking, opportunities and memories. Also I recommend you put in effort to learn the language, but not, the majority of people there speak English, so you should not be worried about this.

I chose this program to meet new people, immerse myself in Barcelona's culture, travel, and gain some course credits. I 100% accomplished each part of these. I came without really knowing anyone, but it was so cool that pretty much all of the others students did the same. From weekend trips to Mallorca to cooking classes, I have had some awesome experiences with some new lifelong friends. I'm excited to go back to school and hopefully visit them on their campuses! I opted into the homestay option because I really wanted to make the most of this cultural experience. That was definitely the way to go. My house mom was learning English as I really wanted to practice my Spanish, so our dinner conversations were always super fun and engaging. She'd make pretty cultural dishes, like tortilla de patatas, and we'd just learn about each other's cultures. Those meals combined with the free Barcelona SAE program events (like a cooking class and a day trip to Tarragona), let me really learn about Catalunya! This was also my second time in Europe, so I really was looking to travel. Thanks to the super helpful Barcelona Student Guide, I planned trips to Lisbon, Madrid, and Mallorca at pretty inexpensive pricing. That student guide is the single greatest informational document you'll need when coming to Barcelona. The city is so big and so cool in every neighborhood, and this guide really helps you make your way around efficiently and awesomely. I also really enjoyed my classes, especially the Diversity in Hispanic Media and Pop Culture. Each class consisted of a really interesting introduction to an aspect of hispanic culture followed by a really engaging discussion. I didn't know a whole lot about the structure of the European Union, but this class helped me reshape my views on European and American politics. All around, this past month has been an amazing experience for me! I highly recommend Barcelona SAE for anyone looking for a new and awesome experience!! Also definitely visit Parc Ciutadella if you come, only found in my second week but it's my favorite place to visit

Exploring Buenos Aires, Argentina with CEA CAPA was an incredible experience. From the dedicated on-site staff, Maggie and Flor, to my wonderful host-mom, Alejandra, brilliant teacher Mercedes, and everyone in between, the people of Argentina are some of the friendliest and genuine people I have ever met. It is such a vibrant, safe, and well connected city. The public transit is easy to navigate and the CEA CAPA staff make sure you are comfortable getting to where you need to go day one. Studying abroad was important to me because, as a computer science major, I often see students say that it is too hard to study abroad within the rigorous schedule of their major, but it is 100% possible! I took zero CS related courses while abroad and focused completely on learning Spanish. Buenos Aires, is a great place to learn Spanish! Once you get comfortable with the accent (which I found to be a lot less daunting then everyone said), people are eager to converse with you and often have lots of patience when they come to realize you are not a native speaker. I recommend to any future travelers to get out and explore the many parks throughout the city. They are a source of so much beauty and allow you to connect with so many locals (there are often pop-up markets, tango dancing in the plazas, food vendors, and more).

Truly changed my perspective on the world of engineering and potential career path in a world I never would have thought possible. Broaden my world view and met truly amazing people that I connected with for a lifetime.

Being able to have the opportunity to study abroad has always been a dream for me, ever since I have entered college. Although I knew it was going to feel uncomfortable at first, I knew at the end I would have an amazing transformative experience. Barcelona SAE has allowed for those transformative experiences to occur while also opening up opportunities to truly immerse in the Spanish culture. I would 100% recommend this study abroad program to anyone who feels unsure about which program is truly the best fit for them.

I had an amazing experience studying abroad in the Fall 2023 semester in Florence, Italy through the CEA Program. The variety of course offerings, professor-student relationships, and out-of-class activities were incredible. I had the opportunity to learn Italian, meet with professors outside of class, and attend a pasta-making class through CEA! I loved the food and culture of Florence with its tight-knit community and authentic, traditional recipes. It was an experience I will never forget and I hope to return soon!

I had a great time during my semester in Amsterdam. The CEA CAPA team is really responsive and the on site team was super knowledgeable. Our living situation in Diemen was also very nice and was located close to many bike paths and public transit.

I took two classes in June: A1 Spanish and Black Barcelona. Both professors were excellent, and I am glad to say that I learned a lot, not only academically but in a more general sense as well. While I was in class for a large portion of the week, 36 hours from Monday to Thursday, it was time well spent. I still had many opportunities to meet other students in the program and explore the city of Barcelona.

This was my first time out of the country, so of course I was scared. Also going to another country with another language on top of that. It was mid-boggling before getting there, but once I was there, my goodness, the best exeperience of my life. I met increcible people, had incredible food, and some of the best experiences of my life. I will never forget what this program has brought me. I'm so grateful to all the staff to who listened to me when I was struggling with adjusting and just taking me out for a coffee. I'm so sad to have left, but so grateful for the experience.

Great staff who have stayed connected even a year after returning home. They partnered me with a great internship where I learned so much and made so many friends. The CEA CAPA program students are all so excited to be there and explore, it is a great community to be a part of. I wish I could go back!!!

Interning while in London was wonderful. The internship team was helpful and supportive. Navigating a new country is extremely difficult, especially when you also take on an internship, but the team at CEA CAPA made it a breeze. I had a different internship placement originally but it conflicted with my class schedule and luckily the team in London was able to re-assign me. It was a life-changing experience and extremely rewarding, one that I am so grateful to have added to my résumé. I can’t recommend this program enough!

My experience in Prague was amazing! I traveled a total of 8 other countries and learned so much about the world around me. I gained so much knowledge of how to travel and live on my own in a different country. As a STEM student, taking Calculus 3 and my humanities, I was able to handle both school and traveling on the weekends which was most important to me. CEA CAPA had amazing employees, that were very kind and helpful. At any point I needed aid or any type of recommendations, the staff was available. I created great relationships with my teachers and other students! Overall, I had an amazing experience thanks to CEA CAPA!

This has been one of my best semester of my undergrad career and Barcelona SAE played a huge role in making it so. This program just went above and beyond to guide and support us through this journey. Our program mentors were so welcoming and helpful. They planned so many great trips and activities. I loved getting the chance to meet local students. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and I learned so much a long the way. Barcelona is truly one of the best cities to study abroad in and I highly reccomend it to anyone who wants to study in a new country, learn a new language, meet new poeple, and travel.

To say I had an amazing time in Costa Rica with CEA CAPA would be an understatement. I learned so much about myself through my time here. I was worried about going due to my minority status, but the staff and my host family truly made me feel at home. The cea capa staff were in constant contact with us at all times, even before we arrived to San Jose. They threw me a celebration on my birthday and made us feel like a part of a family. Whatever I needed, whether it was academic, health, or emotional support, they made me feel comfortable and supported.

This semester with Barcelona SAE has been incredible, and I can't recommend the program enough to anyone who is considering applying! I have made so many lifelong connections with individuals in my program, and there are lots of really great cultural immersion activities, like cooking classes and flamenco dance lessons! My housing is in a safe area and my commute to my classes is not long, and living in Barcelona will be an experience I'll never forget.

I have met so many new people through the SAE program and I am so grateful for choosing Barcelona SAE. There are so many cultural opportunities to meet new people and explore Catalunya. I love my classes and the teachers, I just wish I was able to have office hours with my professors in B 2.1. All of the professors are very welcoming and want to help you learn. If you don’t understand something, let them know. Studying abroad will not always be sunshine and rainbows everyday, but being apart of SAE makes the hard times worth it.

Studying abroad in Spain through Barcelona SAE has truly been the best decision I’ve ever made. Reflecting on this past semester, I am so grateful for SAE and their dedication to making sure, we as students, can immerse ourselves in Catalan culture, can challenge ourselves to meet peers in the program, and give us the opportunity to experience the beauty of Spain. From the orientation sessions, to the weekend/day trips to surrounding cities, to the cooking and dance classes, their commitment to making study abroad an incredible experience was palpable and brought my peers and I a sense of comfort being so far away from home. The accommodation was phenomenal (I was honestly impressed since I didn’t know what to expect) and the courses offered are so unique! I’m so sad my time here is coming to an end, but I’ll be leaving with the reassurance knowing that I’ve made lifelong friendships, I got to immerse myself in a beautiful culture and learn about Spain's history, and that the SAE staff members are amazing mentors that I can reach back out to in the future. I absolutely loved my time on this program. Before going abroad CEA CAPA staff was super helpful with getting my visa, telling me how to pack, and preparing me with recommendations for the city. When I got abroad I had a great housing situation with lots of other students in my program also living in the same building. My apartment was well-furnished and in a great location. My classes at both the CEA CAPA study center and my Czech school were the perfect amount of challenging; I learned a lot but wasn't so inundated with work that I was unable to travel. CEA CAPA planned great events and excursions that brought me a lot closer to other students on my program, many of whom I am still close with even a year after my abroad program.

The CEA CAPA staff was incredible at making my time abroad exceptional. They planned awesome excursions and activities and were always there to help! I greatly enjoyed my classes as well. Furthermore, my accommodations were wonderful, with AC and heat, a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. Plus, I lived right next to the royal palace!

I went abroad with CEA CAPA to Seville, Spain and it was an amazing experience! I took classes at a local university, was immersed in the culture through a variety of different excursions put on by CEA CAPA, and met amazing people. This experience allowed me to better my Spanish and learn a new culture. The people that work at CEA CAPA were very friendly and answered any and all questions that I had before my trip as well as during.

Seville is a captivating city that has a charming blend of rich history, vibrant nightlife, and a warm community. Tapa places are at every corner, and so are shoe stores and ice cream places. While Seville's heat in the summer is beyond, the cultural tradition of siestas help avoid the heat. A truly exceptional destination for those seeking a transformative international program. The memories you make will last you a life time and the friends you will make from all walks of life!

I really enjoyed the four months I spent in Buenos Aires through the CEA CAPA program. I loved getting to know my host mom and I met so many people within my program and at my Argentine institution. The international program at Universidad de Belgrano was a bit separate from the Argentine students, so there weren't any Argentine students in my class, but I still met a couple of them and got lunch every now and then. I loved the friends I made though and we explored the city together and even travelled to different popular destinations in Argentina. We went to Patagonia where we went to the southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia, trekked on the famous Perito Moreno glacier in El Calafate, and hiked the famous Fitz Roy trail in El Chalten. We went to Iguazú Falls--a natural wonder of the world--and saw views of beautiful waterfalls amongst a jungle landscape. We went to Salta and Jujuy and saw beautiful mountain views, colonial towns, and folkloric dancing. We went to Mendoza and rode on horseback in the Andes. Buenos Aires is an incredible city with café culture, a rich history of tango, a lively nightlife, lots of mate drinking, a strong passion for soccer, great food such as empanadas and steak, and friendly people. The city is also a great place to live if you have dietary restrictions because there are lots of gluten free bakeries and vegan cafes and restaurants. I improved my Spanish a lot by speaking with my host mom and some of her good friends, interacting with locals at markets and in shops, and taking four Spanish classes at an Argentine institution. Living in Argentina was also very cost efficient because things were very inexpensive (besides imported good such as clothing). For example, a coffee would typically cost just over 2 dollars. However, inflation is a constant in Argentina that people there are very used to. Their money situation can be complex and they have three exchange rates, which can make it difficult for tourists. They are also a very cash-based society. I recommend looking into your credit card rate for Argentina specifically and trying to use the Blue Dollar rate by exchanging at exchange houses with cash instead of using ATMs. Phone stealing is also common and something to be wary of. Another thing to be aware of is that the schedule there is very different--things start much later such as lunch around 2, merienda or snack around 5-7 and dinner around 9 pm. I would recommend Buenos Aires to anyone looking to learn Spanish, travel to beautiful places, and experience a unique, fun culture.

From the planning process to weeks after I came back CEA CAPA took care of me every step of the way. They made this experience super stress free which allowed me to be excited to study abroad. My studies abroad in Grenoble was the best experience of my life and I will never forget it.

I studied abroad for 4 weeks in June 2023 in the Spanish Language and Liberal Arts Program. I was able to earn 6 credits towards my Spanish minor at the University of Granada that seamlessly transferred back to my home university as pass/fail. The classes I took were Spanish Literature (1.5 credit), Latin American Literature (1.5 credit), and High Advanced Spanish Language (3 credit). Classes were a short 10-minute walk from my residencia (dormitory-style living with other CEA CAPA students as well as local Spanish students), and ran from 8:40am-2:30pm Monday-Friday, with a midday break. 3 absences were allowed without penalty, which I used strategically to plan personal travel and/or recover from nights out. We also had 2 days off for Corpus Christi, which was one of my favorite parts of my stay in Granada. Corpus Christi is a week-long celebration consisting of parades, a fair, and other cultural festivities throughout the city's public spaces. The Spanish students staying in the residencia with us were kind enough to answer all of our questions about the events and make sure we had an amazing time during this unique holiday. CEA CAPA staff also gave us tons of information. Granada could not have been a better destination. It offers a blend of many cultures (Andalucian, Islamic influences, Romani, and more) due to its unique history, has an extremely laid back culture that made my experience and my course load as relaxed as possible, and so many incredible, friendly people. Overall, I highly reccommend going abroad to Granada with CEA CAPA. They offer so much support in every step of the process. I went abroad with two friends from my home university, but met so many people who went by themselves and had an amazing experience as well because the nature of the program allows you to make meaningful connections with other students.

My Summer in Rome was an unforgettable experience that I can't stop recommending to everyone! I absolutely loved the opportunity to live in the city and learn about its history at the same time. Being immersed in the Roman Empire while hearing its stories was one of my favorite parts. Italy overall has so much to offer, and with the trains and metro, Rome makes it easy to explore and travel around its different regions to get the full experience from its beautiful beaches to Tuscan country. CEA CAPA Staff was phenomenal throughout and was definitely one of the things I loved most about this trip. The staff always went above and beyond to make sure their students were supported and having the best experience possible. I enjoyed my time studying with CEA CAPA in Madrid, Spain. The on-site staff was extremely helpful and made my experience great. I had awesome housing in an apartment and could easily walk to school. I highly recommend studying at Univeridad Nebrija in Madrid to improve your Spanish language knowledge and learn more about other interesting topics regarding Spanish culture.

I had the best time studying abroad with CEA CAPA. They were with me through every step of the application process to getting a visa and arrival. They matched me perfectly with my roommate and I will continue to thank CEA CAPA for a life long friend that I couldn't have met anywhere else. We were paired with a beautiful single mom located in the heart of Granada which was a 15-20 minute walk to our campus as well as all f the best restaurants. Our excursions to Morocco, Sevilla, Ronda and Cordoba were so fun, making me grateful for choosing CEA. The numerous vouchers and scholarships they offered made it possible to see myself in Spain and making my dream come true. I am so glad I choose CEA and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Everything about the program made it impossible to have a bad time!! The staff as well as my peers helped make every day so amazing. We had the opportunity to explore all over the city as well as other parts of the Netherlands which I loved so much.

This past summer I traveled to Dublin, Ireland with CEA CAPA. I had an overall wonderful experience and found the staff both pre departure and within my host country to be very helpful. They were quick with responses and assisting in any worries that I might have had. While there, we had two CEA CAPA planned trips that were very fun and a good chance to explore the country. I met so many wonderful people on the trip too. Over all my experience was really great!

Engineering in Paris is an incredible opportunity for undergraduate students around the world to complete several of their engineering requirements while being able to experience an amazingly rich and diverse culture. Academically CEA CAPA provided great teachers who were passionate about their subjects and understanding of the unique circumstances that students were placed in. They taught the course material well, formed connections with us, and encouraged us to explore and travel while we had this opportunity. The CEA CAPA staff were very helpful as we started to gain our bearings in Paris and organized many activities and excursions to immerse us into the culture. Paris itself is an absolutely beautiful city that has a plethora of options for nightlife, food, drink, shopping, museums, historical sites, and natural beauty. The public transportation system in Paris is very accessible and serves as an easy way to travel around the city, however, I encourage walking as much as possible because it is the only way to truly embrace all of the natural beauty and sites of the city. Furthermore, Paris is a very centrally located city in Europe and allows easy and relatively inexpensive travel opportunities to most other countries in Europe.

I had an absolutely incredible experience living in the picturesque town of Antibes in the French Riviera. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning Mediterranean views, charming cobblestone streets, and the relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. Travelling from Antibes was so easy with a train station within walking distance. I was able to go explore other countries almost every weekend, with Antibes being the perfect place to come home to. Whether lounging on the golden beaches, wandering through the quaint Old Town, or exploring nearby glamorous destinations, every day felt like a dream. Studying abroad with CEA CAPA was a dream. It was such a fun and transformative experience, and in the best location. The French Riviera was absolutely stunning. I had the best experience in Barcelone while working for Hesperia Presidente hotel. I got the opportunity to learn and rotate through the different areas in the hotel. I could not be more grateful to CEA CAPA for the accommodations and amazing job opportunity.

I went abroad with CEA CAPA Spring'23 semester and had the best experience! I loved how all classes did field studies where we would meet out in the city and learn about things, it was my favorite part of the classes. The facilities were very nice, especially my residencia (Yugo Garbi). I did an internship with them too and the internship team was extremely helpful and kind. I would study abroad and intern with CEA CAPA again if I could. I met some great people on this journey as well!

I'm so glad I chose to study in Prague – it truly became a second home. Despite its reputation for cloudy weather, Prague's natural beauty always shined through. The city's less touristy vibe allowed me to experience life like a local. As for the housing, I opted for a single bedroom and did not regret it; however, if you are sharing a room there is plenty of space. The flat I shared, situated in Prague 7, was filled with charming details like grand wooden doors, lofty ceilings, and the large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Having the tram station just outside the apartment was incredibly convenient, and the neighborhood felt exceptionally safe. Various shops and cafes (like my local favorite, Letka) were all within a 10 minute walk. The nearby parks quickly became my favorite places to visit with Letna's beer garden providing great views of Prague and Stromovka's peaceful ponds and large fields. A quick 10-minute tram ride, led to even more restaurants, bars, clubs, stores, and charming streets to explore. There is always something to do! The onsite staff was welcoming and offered an array of engaging activities like an overnight excursion to Český Krumlov, day trips, and smaller activities like attending the opera–we saw a modern performance where actors dressed as monkeys sang in Czech while performing acrobatics on trampolines, so don't underestimate the experience–indoor cycling, ice skating, jogging around the local park, and more! The staff's efforts truly enriched the overall experience. All of the classes I took were very interesting, had amazing professors, and a manageable work load. I recommend taking the Prague Art and Architecture class with Dr. Josef Záruba-Pfeffermann if you want to learn about the rich history of Prague by walking the city's streets and visiting various museums and monuments for free. Dr. Záruba's engaging teaching style involves telling historically significant stories that you wouldn't find in conventional textbooks, which always made the class interesting. Also, consider taking the elementary Czech language class with professor Šaršonová. She is helpful resource, a kind and encouraging person, and an amazing teacher. Learning the language from professor Šaršonová elevated my experience in Prague, enhancing my interactions and connections with the local culture. Finally, if you're looking to learn more about Central and Eastern Europe, take a class with Dr. Monika MacDonagh-Pajerová. Her firsthand experience as a student activist during the 1989 Velvet Revolution brings a unique perspective to her teaching. Once you visit Prague you will never want to leave! Being here was the most fun, important, and overall memorable period of my life.

I studied with CEA CAPA over the 22-23 school year and had a great time! I love the flexibility of their programs- I was able to get a lot of experience with the French language, and didn't feel that I had any huge advantages or disadvantages compared to those who chose to study in English. They offered great cultural activities and excursions for all interests as well.

I loved my experience with CEA CAPA because of how user friendly they made their program online. Prior to starting the program so many emotions are brewing and CEA CAPA is there to remind you every step of the way that you are not alone! Included excursions are definitely a bonus too.

My time in Amsterdam, Netherlands was some of the best few weeks of my life. The professors I had were so helpful and intelligent, along with the fact I had classmates from all over the world who were so insightful. CEA was there for me at every step of the way, even in my host country. They prioritized immersing their students and ensuring their safety. I met the most amazing people through my program and am very lucky to call them some of my closest friends to this day. I am excited to share the life-changing study abroad experience I embarked on this past summer! For four weeks this summer, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain. Through CEA CAPA Education Abroad, I was enrolled in MKT 420, “International Marketing”, where I had the privilege of learning from Professor Cesar Duch who pushed me to think beyond my comfort zone. The diverse curriculum not only deepened my understanding of international marketing, but it also allowed me to delve into topics that were particularly relevant to Spain’s culture and socio-economic landscape. Beyond the classroom, I had the ability to immerse myself in true Spanish culture. Each day presented a chance to learn and broaden my perspectives. The traditions, customs, and cuisines enriched my understanding of the world in ways I could not have imagined. This experience was also one of personal growth. Overcoming language barriers and navigating unfamiliar territories pushed me out of my comfort zone. I now feel more confident in embracing change and facing new challenges. One of the highlights of my study abroad experience is the friendships I formed with people from all over the world. From study sessions to weekend explorations, every moment was filled with laughter and support. The connections I made are invaluable. While I was sad to bid farewell to Barcelona and leave behind the amazing memories and experiences, I am excited to carry the invaluable lessons I learned with me as I embrace the next chapter of my life.

Despite only being abroad with my class for 6 weeks, I feel as though I spent months there due to the amount of knowledge and perspective on the world I gained throughout my time. I believe that every student should have this once in a lifetime experience to study abroad if possible.

Before choosing Florence, I talked to many students who had previously studied abroad. Some people claimed Florence was a "basic" destination and "everyone studies there", but for me this was not the case. Florence was the best study abroad destination for me personally and for many of my peers. There is so much to see, do, and experience as I never had a day in which I was bored. Italy is full of amazing food, art, history, and culture. My housing with CAPA was amazing, a 3 minute walk to school compared to my friends in Barcelona who had at least a 45 minute commute to school including the metro. I met so many new people that I still talk with today. I think about this experience every day of my life. Pros: - New friends - New experiences - Independence Cons: - Adapting to a new culture can be difficult - Time difference with USA - Missing family/friends back home

I originally chose to study abroad through CEA CAPA in Seville because I wanted a program that offered kinesiology related courses. The courses were fantastic and the teachers made the entire experience better. They offered local perspectives since they were both from Seville. Also, I am extremely happy with the housing option I chose. I stayed in a Casa with 5 other program students. We lived above our host family and would eat meals with them everyday. Our host mom also did our laundry and gave us traveling tips. The entire program was designed in a way that helps students feel comfortable in an unknown country. CEA CAPA pre-plans excursions that allow students to see different aspects of the local culture.

Studying abroad in Grenoble was genuinely one of the most impactful experiences I have had during my time in college. I truly enjoyed getting to explore a new culture and learn about a city I had no knowledge of prior to taking part in my study abroad program. I think Grenoble is a great location for study abroad as it has a high international student population, plenty of restaurants and activities to explore, and a wide variety of subjects to study at different universities. As an engineering student, I was very excited to be living in a city that had such a focus on technology and scientific innovation. Additionally, my onsite CEA CAPA program coordinator contributed greatly to my experience abroad. I really appreciated having her support while adjusting to a new environment and getting to take part in the activities and excursions she planned. Overall, I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking to explore a new environment as I think Grenoble is truly a unique city with something for everyone.

I didn’t speak Spanish and I stood out because I was a minority so I was quite nervous upon arriving. When I got there I was welcomed immensely by my host family. She was above and beyond, taking us out to eat, serving lunch meals even when it wasn’t requiring, and quite literally catering to our every need. The people are so friendly and my Spanish improved drastically. They helped me immerse myself into their culture and taught me so many new things and life lessons, it’s an experience I’ll never forget.

I had the most incredible experience studying in Prague with CEA CAPA. All of the resources were amazing: the study center, staff, classes, housing, activities, and more. I lived in a beautiful apartment in the perfect location, with all other CEA students so I felt very safe. The classes offered were very beneficial to my learning and I enjoyed the content and teachers. The staff is also very supportive and helpful- before, during, and after going abroad. They had many activities planned for us to better immerse us in Czech culture, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend studying abroad with CEA CAPA, especially in Prague!!

I studied abroad with CEA CAPA in the Summer of 2023 in Paris, France. In my 6 weeks spent abroad, I was very pleased with what CEA CAPA had to offer. In terms of housing, the apartment was about what you would expect to receive at any university, and the kitchen was very small, though that was okay because I was able to spend most of my meals out, really getting the full French cuisine experience. The engineering class that I took was difficult, as is any, but the small class size made it easy to collaborate with others and to really delve into the knowledge. The sports & culture class that I took was fun and engaging, and really offered exploration of parts of the city I never would've ventured to on my own. CEA CAPA offered many opportunities to see parts of the city, starting with the initial boat ride along the River Seine, where I had my first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, and ending with a ticket to a football match at the Stade du France, where we got to see a very exciting win! These are some things I never would have thought to do, but CEA CAPA made it all possible.

CEA CAPA was amazing! From the unique classes, to the kind staff members and teachers, to all of the experiences I was able to have with my school, I wouldn't have any other program as my study abroad program if I could go back.

If you are looking for an abroad program that not only gives you the opportunity to grow professionally and culturally but also allows you to create experiences that cultivate memories and relationships that last beyond your time abroad, then Barcelona SAE is the perfect program for you. I did the internship program with Barcelona SAE just about a year ago now and I still talk about my experiences every day. I originally was supposed to go to Barcelona to study and do an internship back in the summer of 2020 when I was a sophomore in college, but I was delayed due to COVID. After I graduated college, I was unsure of what I wanted to do, so I decided to reach out and see if I would be allowed to just do the internship abroad since I did not need course credit anymore. Luckily, they allowed me to which led me to an internship in Barcelona with Sustainability Worldwide Center 2050. Barcelona SAE helped me get placed in this internship by getting to understand what my degree was in, what my professional goals were, and what I was good at. At Sustainability Worldwide Center 2050, I worked as a research support intern where I would assist in researching relevant information for important sustainability projects for clients. My internship was the best fit for me; my boss and co-workers were very welcoming to me and allowed me to do work that fostered my skills. I was also able to expand my knowledge about how European countries prioritized sustainability and was able to apply that to political knowledge back home for how we could make improvements. Another thing that I liked about my internship was that all my co-workers that I worked with daily, were the same age as me and they were students at the local university. This allowed me to connect with them as we had many things in common and even allowed me to create friendships with them. Aside from the internship directly, the Barcelona SAE program gave me the amazing opportunity to gain a lot of cultural experiences. While I was in Spain, I lived in the student housing in Poble-sec. Poble-sec is an amazing neighborhood to live in as someone who is abroad because it is filled with a lot of families which allows you to immerse yourself in the culture. When we first got to Barcelona and were all settled in our rooms, we were given a personal tour by Barcelona SAE of the neighborhood so that we could get an understanding of the layout, how the metros worked, and where things were like the grocery store. Living so closely with locals allowed me to not only become a local but also allowed me to better develop my cultural knowledge and Spanish language skills. The program also lets you sign up for many different events that allow you to more fully immerse yourself in the culture in Barcelona. Some of the events included things like a guided tour of the Gothic Quarter, a bus trip to Sitges, winery tours, and much more. These events gave me even more of an opportunity to explore the different aspects of Spanish culture which allowed me to connect even more to Barcelona and the people. One of the most important parts of the Barcelona SAE program for me, looking back now, was the fact that it gave me the chance to create relationships and build bonds with the other people in the program. As I mentioned before, I lived in the student housing in Poble-sec where I was placed on the sixth floor with other people from the program. Unlike all the other floors, the sixth floor had nine rooms and only one communal kitchen; it was the smallest floor of the building as other floors had more rooms and typically two kitchens. All nine rooms on the sixth floor were other people from the program, including myself, who I ended up enjoying living with as we all got along well. We would have sixth-floor dinner nights where we would each cook something up, we would watch the World Cup together in the kitchen, and we would just generally hang out together whenever we weren’t busy doing work or going somewhere. On top of that, I met some of my closest friends in the program just by participating in the events that they would have. On our weekend trip to the Basque Country, coordinated by the program, I ended up meeting and connecting with my close friends as we spent all weekend exploring together. After that trip, we hung out all the time in Barcelona meeting up for dinner, going out for some tapas and drinks, and even just going shopping. These friends I made even ended up being the ones that I traveled to six different countries with on our weekend trips. From traveling all over Europe together, we all became close, and we have stayed in touch ever since our time abroad was over. In fact, we all met up just this past summer in Miami for a small vacation! These relationships I built while living in Barcelona are invaluable to me and they were an essential part of the experience and memories that I have from traveling abroad. Overall, I highly recommend the Barcelona SAE program to anyone who wants to go abroad and gain some important life experiences. I wish I could have been in the program longer, or that I could go back in time so that I can experience it all again. This was an amazing opportunity for me, and I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed it. I am planning a trip back to Barcelona for the summer of 2024 that I am just so excited for because I can’t wait to be back where I was a year ago even if just for a little bit. I can’t thank everyone in the program enough for everything that they did and I hope that more people get the chance to experience this amazing program.

While studying in Prague, I was able to ignite my passions in history and politics. It truly was like home to me, largely because of the help of CEA CAPA. I frequently wish I could go back and re-live my experiences--nothing will ever compare to the four months I spent studying abroad.

Choosing Barcelona SAE was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I got the opportunity to meet so many international students and was able improve my intercultural communication. I was able to explore much of Spain and other surrounding countries. My spanish has improved immensely and I will forever be grateful for all of the ups and the downs that I experienced while studying abroad here in Barcelona.

Barcelona SAE was overall a good program. Although our housing did have bed bugs and we had to deal with it twice, I enjoyed my experience as a whole and loved study abroad. I especially liked all the different activities they put together Iike the Spanish cooking class.

I recommend taking UPF classes as well because I was able to meet people from all over the world that I never would have if I just took courses at SIS. The UPF classes are a little harder so I would recommend not doing major or minor classes there.

My study abroad experience with Barcelona SAE has been a rewarding journey. I learned so much about Catalan culture while also getting to experience the beauty that this region has to offer. The staff was very caring and kind. They were always willing to help if needed. The classes themselves were not challenging, however, finals week was very stressful because you have to study for your exams and prepare for your travel back at the same time. I stayed in the residence hall, and it was very nice to have a room to myself. Although, sharing a kitchen with many other students was a bit difficult. Overall, I loved this experience and exploring this magical city. I would definitely recommend it to a student who is considering studying abroad!

In this study abroad experience, I had the opportunity to live with a host family and improve my Spanish, learn about Spain’s history, see art masterpieces, and experience a new culture. The programs provided by this group make the experience well rounded and Barcelona is a great city to live in, despite it being very touristic. If you’re looking for very challenging classes, this may not be for you, but the experiential learning was great.

I have had positive and eye-opening reflections about my personal and professional self. Not only will studying abroad be a landmark that I will never forget, but it has been a stepping stone into the next chapter of my life. I am more than appreciative for this opportunity and every step along the way as it has shaped me into a stronger person.

My study abroad experience in Barcelona was nothing short of extraordinary. I loved how the program intertwined our academics with our lives outside of the classroom, and in more ways than one. We had plenty of field trips for our classes which helped us navigate the rich history of the city and encouraged us to reflect on our surroudings. It was great to get to explore the city while also learning so much about it. Aside from classes, from delving into the historic neighbourhoods to indulging in tapas at lively markets, each day brought forth a wealth of cultural discoveries and when combined with friends, plenty of life-long memories were made.

I studied and lived in Barcelona through Barcelona SAE and the semester was one that I will never forget. The program enabled me to take classes with Spanish students and other study abroad students that really broadened my perspectives and helped me become a more global student and person. While in Barcelona, I lived in an apartment which really pushed me to explore and immerse myself in the community around me. I loved having a new routine and discovering something new every day. Barcelona SAE was always there to help with whatever situation came my way throughout the semester. Through assigning a mentor and small group, and planning many activities in the community throughout the semester, I felt very connected and safe.

Barcelona SAE was a fantastic study abroad program to attend. The staff is very attentive and helpful in any circumstance (sick, housing, VISA process, etc.). I took a Spanish course and Food and Culture through SIS and two course at UPF ESCI. I highly recommend considering this program if you want to study abroad in Barcelona!

I absolutely loved studying abroad and the advisors, faculty, and support system I was given made me want to do it all over again. Barcelona SAE was amazing from day one. Faculty was very accommodating, flexible, and I truly feel as though I was cared for. UB was an amazing school; the professors were very kind, the architecture of the school itself was wonderful, and there was little external work to do for courses. If you are considering studying abroad, UB through Barcelona SAE is the way to go!

Studying abroad in Barcelona has been a wonderful journey. I appreciated a welcoming homestay and the wonderful trips included in our program such as visiting the Basque Country and Girona. There was always a way to get in contact with a staff member if needed and the bucket list was great!

These were definitely the best 2 1/2 months of my life. I had the opportunity to meet so many interesting people and learn so much about life outside of the US. I was also able to explore several countries in Europe as well as Morroco to further enrich my experience. Learning the history of Spanish and Catalan culture by being immersed in the environment is something you can't really describe in words. It's something you have to experience. The only "downside" to my experience was the lack of guidance within the university. A lot of my time spent in the BAPIS program at UPF was figuring things out on my own. The academic expectations are a bit different from the US, so it took quite a bit to adjust. Nonetheless, still an amazing experience. If I could sum up my time in one word it'd be "Unparalleled"!

Going around Rome and learning with CEA was a joy. So much good fun and learned a lot with great teachers and friends. Everyone was very supportive and gave us the time of our lives. Hope this review helps u decide on CEA in rome.

It was a beautiful experience and I gained a lot of skills along with a new perspective on my dreams/aspirations! I learned from community members, professors and friends each and every day. It was an honor to learn from people who want to see you win.

Going abroad to a new country can be scary. CEA CAPA provided all the resources I needed plus more to help me do everything I wanted during my time abroad. Some of the things that were really important to me were having options for many classes that I was interested in that would fulfill my major and minor requirements at my home university. CEA CAPA had so many options and more. I was also able to study at a local university while also taking classes with CEA CAPA. I was also able to have volunteer opportunities through CEA CAPA which ended up being one of my most favorite and rewarding experiences of my entire abroad. The excursions were also some of my favorite times from abroad. I connected with so many people from my program and when we went on excursions I was able to spend time with my whole program.

This experience was a one-of-a-kind, and I enjoyed every second of it! The staff were very welcoming, and encouraged all students to try out various activities around the local area. Studying abroad definitely gives you a new perspective in life and allows for you to learn more about new cultures, and about your own self as well. Program was flexible enough to allow for students to engage in local travel with other students and enjoy cultural excursions around Spain. If you ever considered studying abroad in Barcelona, this is your sign to do so!

My study abroad experience with CEA program was truly transformative. From excellent academic offerings that seamlessly integrated local culture to meaningful cultural immersion experiences, this program exceeded my expectations. I studied abroad for a Fall semester in Florence, Italy! It was a great experience meeting new people and exploring European culture. I took four classes: Italian Language, International Business, Art History, and Social Justice. I really enjoyed the Art History class because we were able to go see lots of the art in person. I also enjoyed the excursions to Cinque Terre and Sorrento. I am so grateful for the opportunity to study abroad with CEA in such a beautiful place as Florence and learn so much.

It has been a year since I have been in Barcelona and it still feels like a fever dream. The amount of happiness I felt everyday was incredible, the city, the people, the program, the food, I miss it all so much!

I studied abroad in Florence in December of 2022 for a week and a half and it was a trip of a lifetime and I would not trade it for the world. Through this trip I had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people from my university that I didn't already know and truly immerse myself into the culture. We went to so many places amazing places like Lucca, Pisa, and San Geminiano plus beautiful countryside wineries and olive groves. One of my favorite parts of the trip was trying all of the delicious food that Tuscany and Florence are known for. We even got to participate in a cooking class to make one of the traditional dishes, tortelli. If I had the chance I would go back and do it all over again and hopefully can in a few years!

I had a great experience. I learned a lot about the culture in the Netherlands as well as the surrounding counties. I made connections with friends that will last a lifetime. I would highly recommend this program!!!

Throughout my time abroad, I was able to be introduced to so many unique and amazing events that enlightened my life in every beneficial way. Growing up in a small country town in the middle of nowhere, living in a city was a big change for me. Having to acclimate to that while also entering another country that spoke a different language was very frightening. CEA did an amazing job in making the process as convenient and efficient as possible. From helping secure my Visa, backpacking through the wilderness, to immersion events with local restaurants and museums; I was able to enjoy a completely new life from what I was used to. You never know the next time you're going to live in another country, and I was blessed to be able to experience that during my time in CEA.

I have always wanted to study abroad my whole life, and I finally did it. It is absolutely scary to be away from family and what you know for any period of time, but I truly felt supported through the entirety of my experience. I received regular calls and emails checking up on me, and I was always greeted so pleasantly when anyone on staff saw me. I believe this is the foundation needed to having a great experience. I had a phenomenal time overall! In the classroom, I had an excellent teacher who was a local and who had a fantastic teaching style. Our class felt immersive and it was honestly fun! The program provided many activities which were all awesome and helpful, truly aiding in my experience. I just wish they had more day-trips to 30min-1hr away from Barcelona because I think it would encourage more traveling within Spain on the weekends, but also because transportation to outside of Barcelona is limited to public transport and there can be additional costs. In addition, I enjoyed my homestay, it's definitely a learning curve, and you need to know yourself, but my host family was wonderful and I felt at home! I ate great food every evening and one of my favorite parts was my roommate and I's regular chats with our host mom at dinner! It's really like gaining extended family members and we still keep in touch!

Since I was 15, I always wanted to study abroad in Barcelona. I do not know what it was about the city but something always told me to go to Barcelona. Once I declared my major, which is international business, studying abroad was a requirement for my degree. This is where I knew this experience was meant to be. I chose the Barcelona Study Abroad Experience (BSAE) because it had everything I was looking for in a study abroad program. My experience this summer could not have gone better. The city, program, people, and everything exceeded my expectations. I spent a total of 13 weeks in Barcelona and even then it was not enough. I was very sad to leave but also very happy I chose this program for making my dream come true. Will definitely be coming back!!

I am a rising senior at the University of Michigan and knew that I wanted to go abroad before I graduated. I'm so glad I stumbled upon Barcelona SAE because I had an amazing experience. I love that the classes were interactive, digestible, and enriching. Even though I'm majoring in cognitive science, the architecture class was very beneficial. I learned about Barcelona's history while in the classroom and gained valuable experience while stepping outside of the classroom. My favorite was getting to live in a homestay and witnessing the culture in my everyday life. My host parent was very understanding and charismatic. I also loved living with another student. They became my traveling, venting, and exploring buddy!

One of the best things about Barcelona SAE is how many quality support resources they have for students studying abroad. There are different staff members who are responsible for issues such as health and safety, cultural immersion, academics, arrivals and departures and really anything else that you would need, and you are always running into them at the building where classes are at. You always feel supported there and that the staff can help you with whatever questions or needs you may have no matter how big or small which makes immersion into Barcelona much easier and more fun :) You're also always informed about events/ news in Barcelona which makes you feel more like a local and conscious about your space. The staff also graciously plan out day trips/ excursions which are super fun and free so take advantage!

I had a great time! All the academic classes were extremely fun and insightful. I really enjoyed the included trips and cooking classes. The only issue we had was bed bugs in one of the beds right when we got here. Besides that I would recommend this program to future students.

Overall, I had a great experience studying abroad in Rome, Italy with CEA! I met a few amazing friends and we had the time of our lives experiencing all Italy had to offer. We spent the majority of our weekdays studying and just hanging out, and then we travelled to new cities almost every weekend (Florence, Lake Como, Venice, Amalfi Coast). The living situation was pretty good. Coming from my freshman year of college, I far preferred my apartment to the small dorms I lived in. However, there was definitely a big difference in each apartment and some were much nicer than others. I had a fairly basic apartment and our biggest complaints were issues with losing hot water, having too small of a kitchen, and having issues with the flooring warping. However, any big issues (such as the hot water) were resolved in a decent amount of time with help from the amazing CEA faculty. But again, this all depends on which apartment you are assigned to. I became really close with my roommates, so that was definitely the best part! I took two classes while I was here (principles of material engineering and the art and archeology course). Both course were relatively similar to courses at my home institution (University of Michigan) in terms of difficulty and workload. We had some issues throughout the semester, but CEA faculty was really good at helping us resolve them. My only complaint would be that there is a difference in teaching styles and leniencies between professors, so you may have to work harder in your class compared to friends/roommates taking other classes. Overall though, the grading was fair and I never felt too overwhelmed by the workload. Coming to Italy for the summer was definitely the experience of a lifetime and I am so sad to leave! I hope to return again in a future summer, or even take part in a CEA study abroad or internship experience at a new location! I would hands down recommend this experience to anyone looking into it!

I think this program was just the right amount of time to explore the city of Rome, with CEA offering many exciting, fun, and helpful activities to get to know Rome. Seeing the city you are learning about in person has been a wonderful experience!

I had a very fun time in Rome. I traveled all over the country and saw many cool places such as Florence, Naples, Capri, Venice, Milan, Tivoli, Sorrento, and Paris. My school was hard but did not take up too much of my time which was very nice.

CEA- Rome center was the best program to go on. I had so many amazing experiences and learned so many things. Rome was beautiful and has tons to do. My classes were taught by great professors and were very informative! Such a great time abroad! Recommend to everyone!

CEA was truly the best program I could’ve picked to do my internship abroad. They set me up with the perfect internship that I absolutely love. Also, our housing is amazing the apartment they placed my roomates and I in is so beautiful and it felt like home right when we got here. It was so easy for me to pick my roommates thanks to their roomate search on their website.

All of the staff in the program were SUPER sweet and helpful. Also, there were a lot of cool cultural immersion activities: day trips, flamenco classes, cooking classes, hikes, and more. I enjoyed the topics in every one of my classes, and I was able to improve my Spanish a lot. Even when I had any doubts or problems during my time in Barcelona, the staff was extremely quick to help. PS: I HIGHLY recommend the optional Morocco trip because it was amazing!

The four months I spent in Barcelona brought me joy and self-fulfillment! Here, you learn about history, witness various arts and architecture, and live in a city you can never get bored of. Barcelona is so beautiful--food, museums, activities, and nightlife. Having traveled to many different countries/cities during my program, I am glad I choose Barcelona as my host country. The SAE program provides various resources to immerse yourself in the culture and Spanish lifestyle continuously. My only wish is that I could do it again :)

I had a great time studying abroad in the French Riviera with CEA. I had great people with me in an amazing place. While studying I also got to do an internship at the Cannes Film Festival. I am even going to return this year to work at the same company. Studying abroad with CEA made my dreams feel possible.

While I was in Grenoble, the best part of my experience was getting to know my host family. For four months I was with them, they treated me like one of there own. This meant drinking licorice-flavored pastis with grandfather, and attending the nephew's baptism, and so much more. They made me the season's meals consistently to make sure I had the most authentic experience of their lives that I possibly could, and they also took me to places all around the city. They took me along my long route that I would then take every day for school to make sure I was comfortable (and a good thing too because I had never been on public transportation before). But most of all, they took care of me simply as good family, making me feel at home away from home.

I’ve really enjoyed my time in the CEA Rome program. I found that the activities offered were usually well thought out and helped me experience things I might not otherwise have had the chance to. I lived with seven other people and had a small kitchen but otherwise the living situation was good. As for the courses offered, all except one elective will be counted towards my degree which was very important given that not every abroad program actually does that. I wish there had been more opportunities to meet locals, though. We had three “mixers” with some Italian students but I wish there had been a few more. Overall, I think CEA did a good job preparing us for study abroad in Rome!

I studied abroad with CEA CAPA in Barcelona, Spain during the Summer of 2022 and would recommend this program to anyone interest in studying abroad. The housing was exceptional, the staff was always so helpful, super interesting classes, and wonderful events offered throughout the program.

I loved my time in London this summer. I am a huge Harry Potter fan and I got to visit the studio where they filmed the movies, I got to see different spots across London where they filmed, and yes I got to see the Platform. Not only did I love the Harry Potter experiences, but I loved the memories that I made with the friends that I met through this experience. We got to see so many things that I only dreamed about such as Stonehenge, the London eye, and many more. I would highly recommend doing study abroad. It is such a fun and life changing experience, and you might just meet some of your lifelong friends in the process! I would recommend CEA to other students without a doubt! I loved the excursions that were included and it gave me an opportunity to get to know other students very well. The classroom environments were great and I felt like I learned a ton!

CEA certainly had a few things that could have been better: the apartment I was placed in was 8 total girls with a tiny kitchen and very few laundry drying racks, so even though the shared bedrooms were spacious it felt pretty cramped. The organized trips also had a habit of skipping over some bigger activities in cities -- I wish I had skipped the walking tour of Florence in order to go to the Uffizi Gallery or see The David, but it's on me for doing it instead of planning to separate. The other trips and activities included in the program were fantastic though, the local tour guides on each one were so knowledgeable and proud of their cities. And Rome itself was the perfect place to study, the weather was altogether nice for winter/spring, the history is amazing to be surrounded by, and it's a good mix of big city life yet at a slower pace. Overall, I was really happy I went with CEA Rome for study abroad.

CEA Study Abroad in Rome has been an incredible experience. CEA does a really good job organizing activities in order for us to immerse ourselves in the culture as well as providing a positive academic experience.

I had an incredible 4 months abroad with CEA in Rome! The pre planned activities and trips were well thought out, informative, and always led us to some of the best spots in Rome or elsewhere. The on-site support from kind staff was the most reassuring part of my experience here. There were always points of contact ready to assist with any issue (personal, school, medical, etc) that made me feel less alone in my experience abroad. The house my provided to us was in an excellent area, and I feel that we truly got what we payed for. I’m so glad to have chose CEA for my time abroad and would make the same choice again in a heartbeat!

Barcelona SAE provided me a study abroad experience that exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed my roommates and lived in a great neighborhood where I felt safe and felt that locations were quite accesible. I also was matched with an internship that aligned with my goals very well. I learned many things from my supervisor and about the work dynamic of Spain. I felt very immersed into the local Spanish culture and improved my Spanish skills greatly as well. The program gave helpful information about traveling outside of Barcelona. They offered many day trips and even an immersive weekend to Morocco. They provided tools for weekend trips which was encouraging and made the semester even better. I was able to travel to many different places such as London, Amsterdam, Belgium, Lisbon and more. I had the time of my life while feeling safe, supported, and encouraged by the program. I feel this program has changed me in many positive ways, professionally and personally.

Traveling to Barcelona with CEA is a great choice. This organization truly looks out for you and helps you settle into a new country. You will meet so many people, learn so many new things and really be living in Barcelona. The classes are interesting and you can pick what interests you. There is a variety of classes. I took an international marketing class and a social media class. It is an awesome experience.They also set up events to do activities around the city! For example, you can go on hikes, go to cooking classes and really meet the locals. The teachers and cea advisors are really there for you and make sure you are comfortable in such a new environment. CEA is a great choice!

Honestly, I didn't really understand what everyone meant when they said that studying abroad would change your life until I actually went myself. I had been dreaming of doing an international internship as well as archaeology courses in Rome Italy but was worried a program wouldn't be able to provide me with that niche experience. Except CEA had literally everything I was looking for internships, courses, people, and opportunities were all perfectly packaged for me. I firmly believe that I am a better student, professional, and person because of this experience, and CEA helped me with every step of the way to get to Italy and every step after I got back allowing me to share my experience. I cannot recommend this company or any of their program enough, it was truly a highlight of my college experience.

If you are thinking about studying abroad I highly suggest Costa Rica! The safest country I have ever been to and the most affordable. As a young black woman, I was nervous about studying abroad but I had no issues here! Make sure to pack a rain coat as it does rain a lot, but it is worth it to be surrounded by beautiful greenery and wonderful people! Costa Rica Pura Vida!

When I chose to study abroad in Spain, I was very nervous. I didn’t know if I’d meet new people and be safe living on my own. However, BarcelonaSAE offered wonderful resources to help me along my way. They planned fun excursions to other cities, offered many health and safety instructions, and helped me meet my friends for life. If you’re looking for an amazing Barcelona program, this is the one for you.

I recommend Barcelona SAE to any student interested in studying abroad in Barcelona. I absolutely loved this program! I chose the homestay option and it could not have been better. I had the opportunity to live with a Spanish-speaking woman who provided me with breakfast and dinner every night. Living with her allowed me to feel more like a local and less of a tourist. The program had numerous opportunities for cultural immersion such as a Spanish cooking class, flamenco class, trips around other cities in Spain, language exchange nights with local students, and so much more. I took Spanish classes at UB (University of Barcelona) and my Spanish has improved so much this semester. This program also has an insurance plan for every student so I was able to receive medical care and therapy free of charge! All of the staff members and mentors in the program were amazing and super helpful as well. I cannot recommend this program enough.

CEA's Rome program allowed me to go further than continuing to gain credits for my college degree. In the past four months, I have found out more about myself than I could have imagined. Leaving my home university to study in a foreign country was challenging, but the opportunities that came with it have been invaluable. I have made plenty of new friends from all over the world, have been inspired to travel more around Europe, and have greatly strengthened my adaptability and communication skills. Academics at CEA leave some to be desired, as the professors are very qualified for their respective studies, but sometimes struggle to connect with students and teach the material effectively due to language barriers and international education differences. Administration and included activities at CEA are by far their strongest advantages. I know by name each department head, and no matter if the problem was something broken in the apartment or roommates issues, CEA was always there to help the best that they could. You can really tell that they care about the student experience because of this, and because of the near-weekly cultural excursions and activities that they have available for students at no extra cost. I'll never forget sun-tanning on the beach of Capri and having traditional pasta in Florence, both of which completely set up by CEA!

My experience in Rome was not at all what I was expecting! I thought it would be a lot crazier and wild but I really just focused on school. Classes were really easy but exams hit hard so you had to study a lot as they are most of your grade. I did not know that basically, our entire program would be kids from one school that all knew each other, which made everyone else instantly cut out. The kids from the other school actually amazed me with their lack of respect for professors and other people, I would suggest that perhaps they go through training or something additional. The staff at CEA is awesome. I do wish there were more trips though. Our housing was not what I was expecting either because we live in an old office building so things were not very homey, in fact, we always joke it was like a hospital. We really had to equip most things ourselves, and comparing our housing to others was depressing. I feel like I was constantly living in a middle ground where I couldn't fully settle in which I was not expecting. Rome itself is beautiful but difficult. Italy was a massive culture shock, way more than I thought it would be. I really loved the experience of being in Rome though as I learned so much. I definitely wouldn't trade this experience for anything, and the fact that it wasn't like I was expecting isn't necessarily a bad thing. My favorite thing about it was meeting my roommates. I was so lucky to have been placed with all of them, so the CEA roommate strategy is great! I loved traveling to other places on the weekends as well, so no Friday classes was key. I loved being in Prati actually, even though we all thought we would be in Trastevere for some reason. I felt very safe despite living next to a sketchy massage parlor haha. Overall it is hard to put into words how my experience was, and of course things aren't perfect, but it was unforgettable. Thank you!

I never wanted to study abroad until the deadline approached, so I knew I had to make a decision. The decision to study in Rome was the best I have made in my life. I became so close with so many people, traveled all across Europe, and the city of Rome is the best city to live in. Between the culture, religion, and fun things to do, I couldn't have picked a better place. This truly was the best experience of my life.

I had a great time during this experience. The Staff were always friendly and helpful. Although, I thought the academics here were hard. No place to study and do homework. The academic is not clear. Test are harder than expected and work and schedule sometimes was not clear.

Over my semester abroad I learned so much not only in the classroom but also about day-to-day life in Italy. I would recommend this program to anyone! The professors are extremely helpful along with the staff, and are prepared to answer any questions and handle any problems that come along.

I came in not knowing anyone and met some amazing people! I loved living in Italy for a semester and Rome was the perfect location because there is some much to explore but it is also easy to travel to other locations :)

I am very happy that I went with Barcelona SAE! I have had a great time in this program. This program is very unique in the ways that it offers many trips and day excursions included with the program fees. I don't know about many other programs that do this and I am very pleased with all the experiences I have had studying abroad. Although at times I wish the classes were a little more rigorous, I really appreciate the teachers' flexibility with students traveling during their time abroad and the course levels give students time to explore Barcelona to the fullest. I would highly recommend doing the Morocco Trip and signing up for all the day trips that SAE Offers. I think this program helps students learn so much about the city and Spanish culture. The orientations at the beginning of the program are essential for students to understand cultural norms and help students successfully navigate their time abroad. Overall, I have loved this program and highly recommend it.

I had a wonderful time in Barcelona for a semester-long internship in the fall of 2022 with Barcelona SAE! I was placed in an internship with an organization focused on my exact areas of study and was able to learn so much over the course of my program. I had a wonderful host mom, and I was able to build connections with many people both in program activities and on my own.

The best time in my college experience. I highly recommend everyone do study abroad!!! I made so many friends in my program who are from all over the country. The staff inside at SAE Barcelona is so helpful and allows great advice. My classes had the most knowledge teachers and I learned so much about Spain/the world around me. I am now passionate about art history and artist such as Dali and Picasso because of a class I took at SAE. My host family was so kind, I had the best home cooked meals and always felt so safe. I can not stress this enough but please do study abroad,you will make the best memories and be able to travel to new places every weekend. SAE Barcelona was a 10/10 program and I would do it 20 times again if I could.

This program truly engages you to learn years of experience in a matter of months. The cultural immersion of SAE allowed me to fully develop a better understanding of being multilingual and adapt to an ever changing business climate.

Even before I got to Barcelona, the Barcelona SAE staff were so helpful. I had delays in payments from my school and they were so understanding and offered me an extension until everything was sorted out. The communication was great from the beginning and I was updated with all the information I needed to know. When I got to Barcelona, I felt so welcomed here. Everyone at the program did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. I also love the trips that they had planned for us. I’ve been on all trips so far and have enjoyed them so much. I got the chance to meet people who go to different schools and immerse myself in the culture. There are trips that we went on that I wouldn’t have even thought of, but have definitely enhanced my experience. My mentor is so sweet and she’s been so helpful and is always recommending things for us to do. On my birthday, I got an email from here and got a card and box of chocolate from the program as a gift. It was so unexpected and made me feel so happy and at home. All in all, I have absolutely no regrets or criticism. My experience has been amazing and I would recommend it to anyone considering studying abroad.

Ive traveled often and I really loved Spain when I came here first a couple years back I came in the summer as well and I enjoyed it thoroughly more so the way of life here. Barcelona SAE has done a great job with helping students integrate into this new environment to have less of a culture shock.

I had an amazing time on my program with Barcelona SAE! My internship was very interesting, and it was really cool to see how a research lab is run abroad. Additionally, I made so many new friends, and I always had something to do. I would go back to Barcelona in a heartbeat.

My experience with SAE goes beyond words! This staff was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. From applying all the way to my departure, they made sure all of my needs were met. As for my placement, I was placed with an online fashion platform which utilized both my majors and passion for the fashion industry. Working directly with the owner of the company not only taught me about the business itself, but also the working culture of Spain. Ultimately, helping me increase my knowledge of the Spanish language and culture. Outside of my internship, SAE provided us with many opportunities to explore the city and country. Each week they provided us with a cultural itinerary which give us suggestions on what to do each week. Without these recommendations, I would not have known what to do around the city. Although I am back in the states now, I am continuing to work internationally for the company that I was placed with, and am seriously considering moving abroad post graduation. This opportunity broadened my perspective on the world and showed me how much more there is to explore. Thank you so much, SAE!

Interning abroad has been an amazing experience for me. The best part is that I have the privilege of actually working with CEA’s Marketing Team. Although it’s virtual, the people I work with are beyond welcoming and I have learned so much from them already. This opportunity is the cherry on top for my study abroad experience. CEA placed me in the most stunning place to live: an 1800s Barcelona style apartment with stain glass windows, tile floors, and the sweetest roommates you can imagine! I love walking to my classes in the morning and stopping at different cafes to grab a coffee and taste test a new pastry. The CEA study center is super modern, containing classrooms on three floors, several study rooms, and a great view of Plaça de Catalunya. So far I’ve traveled to Mallorca, Costa Brava, and hiked Collserola, which was led by CEA employees. I’m most looking forward to our upcoming excursions: a weekend trip to Madrid and another to the Pyrenees, a tapas cooking workshop, dance class, and a visit to MNAC, just to name a few. In just a few weeks, Barcelona has already become my home, all thanks to CEA!

Studying abroad with CEA was the best decision I have ever done. It was such a life time experience and meet so many wonderful people from all over the world. My host family was wonderful and super nice and so comforting my first few weeks. Aside from this Madrid itself was such a wonderful host city with so many things to do and see. The food is unbelievably delicious with so many options for tapas and dishes as well.

Going into this program, I was a bit skittish about immersing myself in a whole other country, but Barcelona SAE made adjusting to my time abroad very easy. I had a meaningful experience during my time in Barcelona because this program helped you indulge yourself in living just like the locals. They as well gave us just enough freedom while still making time for us to get together and do cultural activities around Barcelona. One of my favorite moments with this program was easily the day trip we were given the chance to go to in Girona. It was such a perfect day with a mixture of scenery, knowledge, and of course food. If I were given the chance to study abroad with is program again, I would definitely do it in a heart beat!

Being able to participate in a program like this was able to fulfill my cultural and interpersonal competence and communication which was a big personal goal of mine that I set before going abroad. BarcelonaSAE puts on a great program, the activities and events calendar that they have was truly spectacular and really helps everyone in the program make friends early in the program so that they can enjoy their time in Spain. I also found that the professor for the international marketing class, Alex Bastardas, is spectacular and one of the most knowledgeable people in his field. I really enjoyed the structure of the study abroad program, particularly not having classes on Fridays allowed for easy travel and exploration of the region and city. Overall if I got to study abroad again, I would pick BarcelonaSAE because of the thoroughness of their program as well as their prioritization of the student wellbeing and success.

I am so thankful that I found SAE. The staff has been excellent in assisting me through the application, placement, and travel process. They listened closely to my passions and area of studies to place me in the perfect internship! SAE also provided us with weekly activities allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the Spanish culture like cooking classes, scavenger hunts, and guided tours. My group traveled to Sitges, Girona, and Costa Brava. Before my arrival, I was unaware that there is also an optional Spanish course available for students. I highly recommend taking it as it helped perfect my vocabulary, grammar and confidence when communicating. As for my housing, I was placed in a residence hall which is more like a hotel. I had my own bedroom and bathroom which was very nice. The hall housed many other international students who shortly become my good friends. Overall, SAE has made going abroad easy and effective. I am beyond happy that I chose them and am sad my time has come to an end here in Barcelona.

I have had multiple disappointments and frustrations with SAE. However, I am sharing them here because I want this feedback to be beneficial for future students! I will not be recommending this program due to the disorganization and lack of communication I've noticed from SAE altogether: Firstly, I felt very lost through the process of my arrival. The student guide said the window was from 9am-1pm but another email said noon was the end of the window. I believe they should all have transportation for at least that entire daytime, especially when this program doesn't cover the cost of the flights. Not everyone is able to afford a flight that arrives within a 4-hour window. Luckily, I knew how to get a taxi and Spanish, but I know that many are arriving in a new country for the first time so it could be hard for them. It also felt unfair that I had to pay for my transportation to the office (and then to my apartment) even when the delayed flight was out of my control. That was over 30E, although the SAE website says it's included with my tuition. Furthermore, I missed the internship orientation and was not responded to until a week later. Again, luckily, I have experience working internationally and have been to Barcelona before, so I felt comfortable getting acclimated by myself and understood the cultural differences. Secondly, I wish I had known my roommates in advance of arriving so we could organize what items we could share (like a blowdryer) which ended up being an additional cost. I understand for "privacy" reasons they did not disclose this information, but I think this somehow should change for the benefit of the student's pockets and luggage space. Along with this, after we had a roommate move out early, we were vaguely emailed on Monday at 1:45pm about a potential new roommate and that the cleaning staff would be coming in the same day to prepare for her. However, the cleaners had actually come in at 11:30am without warning and no English, and 2 of us were at work. This was a surprising inconvenience due to the poor communication and timing, and overall lack of information on the situation. Lastly, we were told that we would be responsible for utilities that surpass the limit which is completely understandable, but we don't actually know what that limit is and how to tell, so I am afraid - even after being cautious - that we are going to be charged. In general, I have had extremely poor communications altogether. I signed up for the Spanish classes over a week in advance, took the placement test, discussed an adjusted schedule with my internship supervisor, and on the Monday when my classes should have started, I still had not received any information about the class I was put in, when and where it would meet, and any information about the textbook, etc.. After I emailed them personally, I was told that I never received a confirmation because there weren't classes available for the afternoon time which I had selected - this email was frustrating since I had already met with my supervisor about adjusting my schedule. When they did finally place me, it was still inconvenient because I had already booked a weekend trip and would be missing my Friday class. Third, and most importantly, I have been disappointed with the internship program altogether. More specifically, with the credit transferring process. I was not given information (and it's not on the student guide) about how to transfer a credit, how to distinguish between SAE credit and university credit, how JU works and how canvas works, and why the classes are "legally" required. Because this process was so complex, I decided to not transfer any credits at all. I believe this could be avoided in the future with more information for interns about the credit transfer process and options. Lastly, I just felt underwhelmed by the lack of excursions and opportunities for bonding with other interns. This was just disappointing to me because I was only able to really get to know just a fourth of the group during my time here. The 2 excursions I did do were so much fun - I just wish there had been more! I know many of these items can't be addressed anymore, but again, I'm sharing because my expectations for this program weren't met. At the same time, I am thankful and appreciative for the attempted support of the SAE team and its program.

While abroad in Barcelona I had a great time. It was a roller coaster of emotions but I mainly had an awesome time. A few downs as normal, but amazing experience. My internship was the most valuable highlight of this program. As well as my classmates and roommate. The Barcelona SAE team was always willing to help and communication was flawless. Big shoutout to Katie, she was GREAT! Thank you Barcelona SAE team for the experience.

CEA Study Abroad in Rome has been a great experience. I took an engineering class (material science) and a humanities class (culture of food and wine in Italy). I highly recommend taking one of the humanities classes while in Rome because it is an excellent way to be immersed in the city's culture and learn about its rich history. The housing is pretty nice, the location in the Prati neighborhood is definitely a perk. The staff is easy to reach and helpful, but my university (Michigan) did not do the best job of delivering information about the program.

I found this program to open new doors and open my eyes to new cultures. I did feel like we had a lot of information to learn in a short time. I took a Global Communion class and a History class, for me the history class was well worth it with tours and learning on the go. I wish that the global communication course was more informative and structured differently.

The program was very nice and was affordable as well. The staff was very kind and helpful. The city of Rome is hard to get around and not many things are accessible though, so I'd really think more about the program if you have any disabilities.

On-site staff were excellent and very helpful. Housing was pretty good and my roommates were great. I’m glad there were several trips to other parts of Italy they organized since it allowed me to learn more about Italy. However there were some issues with the organizers and my university in the USA.

My roommates were tolerable except Dane he left us and liked to explore all of Rome with me so I got to see everything I wanted to. The architecture here is so amazing I will definitely have to come back to explore more of Italy

The housing was great. I enjoyed meeting my flat mates. Some of us will remain friends. My Thermodynamics class was tough for me. I think most students struggled some. For those of us engineering students who really need to capture this material for later classes and our fields in engineering; I would nit take this course in a 6 week class. The college and CEA should state that somehow to students before they sign up for it, I will pass the class but feel like I might need to take the course again OR restudy somehow The excursions were great. I enjoyed seeing other parts of Italy. The only think I was not impressed with was the food/dinner places that were a part of the program. I get feeding a lot of students...but I feel there could have been some better restaurant choices. Overall this was great. I am hopeful there will be no issues with getting my transcripts over to my school. This is the last week of class...so I have not done that yet. The communication from the beginning to the end has been outstanding. I didn't miss a beat. They let me know about everything. I would surely do another CEA program if time permitted. Possibly even an internship program. I would also surely let other students know this is a great program, and my experience was a 10 overall. Thank you CEA staff and faculty (USA and Rome, Italy).

I had the honor to come on this program and CEA helped make it the best experience of my life. I have seen art that I have only dreamed of seeing and had experiences I thought only happened in movies. My time here has meant so much for my educational, professional, and personal career, and on top of that it helped my family as well. Being a first generation student I never thought this was possible, being here now has only opened the door to possibilities for my loved ones. During this program I have made amazing friends that will always be a part of my life, including the people in my program, my sweet next door neighbor who waves whenever I see her, and the man that makes my coffee each morning in the café. The best part of this trip for me was seeing more of my Italian roots, hearing stories of my grandparents and their lives before they came to America I was always curious and now I feel more connected to them than ever. Thank you CEA for making my dreams as well as many others' possible.

These few weeks have been wonderful. From arriving at the airport to the apartments to the classes to the longer planned trips I never felt like I was completely on my own. In my case, I showed up a week and a half late because I got Covid 4 days before my flight. They stayed in constant contact with me as we waited it out and supported me up until I arrived even though it was late. Good classes, environment, and planned trips (Florence, Campania) that let to an overall great experience!

My time as an intern through the SAE program has been incredible! I really appreciate the balance of independence and program guidance. I really enjoy how the program places you in an internship that is relevant to your major and interests, and you get so much life experience. My favorite thing the program has to offer is the scheduled cultural activities; my favorite activity would be the group trip to Sitges!

I would definitely recommend Barcelona SAE to a fellow student. During my study abroad experience with SAE, I took a class on the history of Spain/Barcelona. This was probably one of the most engaging classes I’ve taken in college. During the morning, our professor usually delivered a lecture on a particular period of Spanish history. During the afternoons, we explored a historical site, museum, or neighborhood pertaining to the academic lecture in the morning. As a result, I was able to explore much more of Barcelona than I initially imagined I could. I really appreciated the out-of-classroom activities organized by Barcelona SAE. They held at least one activity every week, with the highlights being a day-trip to Sitges and a cooking class taught by professional chefs. In terms of living accommodations, we were given the opportunity to stay at an apartment with other SAE students or live in a homestay with a local family. I chose the latter, and would recommend students who want to improve their Spanish to do so as well. Most SAE students had an extremely rewarding experience by choosing to immerse themselves in the local culture through homestay.

The program was good, however there were a lot of issues with housing and logistics. The program seemed to be a bit unorganized and maybe the staff was overwhelmed since this was post pandemic. I felt that a lot of the trips were not specific to what we were studying. It should have been more specific to entrepreneurship.

I truly cannot say enough amazing things about my experience through BarcelonaSAE. My semester abroad allowed me to step outside my comfort zone and immerse myself in a new culture while being supported throughout the entire experience. The staff at BarcelonaSAE are incredible and are always there to help students navigate the challenges of moving and studying abroad in a new country. The activities were engaging and helped me see a side of Barcelona that I might not have had I not gone through the program. The only downside is having to get back on the plane to return to the US after 4 incredible months.

My internship at Hestia through the SAE program was amazing! I loved my time here. I met so many friends and made many new experiences. The work culture in Spain focuses more on relationships and getting to know one another; I plan to bring this value back home with me! My supervisor at Hestia was so helpful and kind. The program was just an email away if I had a question or needed information. However, this is a very independent program and I advise that you keep this in mind! On the website it states that you will meet weekly with your mentor group but we really only met about 4 times the whole semester. I had no problem with this! It pushed me out of my comfort zone to reach out to new people and seek out new experiences. But I do know that this was harder for other people so I want to make it known that it is a very independent program! I am so much more confident and sure of myself after my time here in just 3 short months! I am so grateful to have interned abroad through SAE.

Studying abroad with SAE in Barcelona has been an unforgettable experience. I will forever cherish my times abroad, all of my experiences, and the lifelong friends I made here. I thought that adapting to the culture shocks would be tough, but I found it to be a lot easier than I expected and these became a normal part of my daily life in Spain. While abroad, I was able to visit other countries in Europe and see tons of beautiful places that I most likely wouldn't see if I didn't come abroad. I was nervous to leave my friends and family for an entirely different continent, but the experience was well worth it and I wish I could do this all over again. I'm so sad to leave Barcelona after the best three months, but I know I will be back soon!

As a senior who was set to graduate by the end of Spring 2022, the Barcelona SAE January term program served as not only the perfect time/chance I was able to study abroad during my undergraduate years, but also as a program that allowed me to complete my Spanish minor for graduation. Overall, great program with lots of included cultural immersion as well as support from the wonderful staff on site.

I will forever cherish my time in Barcelona. I got to live with a host family and indulge in Spanish culture like never before. My Spanish improved and I got to study at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, which was a cool change of campus from my small school back home. I got to know the city well enough to really know where I was going and have mastered all forms of public transportation. I also got to travel so much to Amsterdam, Rome, Paris, Morocco, Brussels, Mallorca, Portugal, Switzerland, and Seville. Traveling has definitely changed who I am as a person. It gave me a new rush of energy and I feel like I can do anything in life. I feel ready to graduate and look forward to reaching all my goals in life; a new goal of mine is coming back to visit Barcelona one day. Honestly three months was the perfect amount of time to change and grow as a person. I’m sad to have to go, but I’m leaving with beautiful memories of a once in a lifetime experience.

Through Barcelona SAE I was able to travel alone and feel completely supported and safe throughout my trip. They do a great job of laying out the pre-departure information on their website in different, detailed sections, which ensured I was fully prepared before my trip even began. The day trips and excursions they had planned were great (Tarragona, a private cooking class, a tour of Barceloneta, etc.), and in smaller groups which was also nice. The classes were small as well, creating a comfortable learning environment, and a place that led to a lot of great friendships from people who live all over the world. There was a hospital and emergency contact number that I could use at any time, and their guidelines for safety and dealing with Covid-19 were also very detailed and comforting. The school we went to was in the heart of Barcelona, which led to tons of adventures and amazing historical sites daily. I stayed in a homestay, which was perfect. Laundry, food, and air conditioning was provided at my particular homestay, and being able to continue learning Spanish when I went home was very beneficial to my studies. I absolutely suggest Barcelona SAE!!!

My experience with CEA was some of the best eight weeks of my life. I learned so much through the internship course and the internship course that will prepare me well for my future. The CEA staff is so friendly and encouraging, and they are always there for you. I never thought that I would say this, but my internship was fun! CEA did a fantastic job placing me with my internship. They really listen to what I was looking for and worked so hard to find a placement that suits my interests. They want the best for you.

Studying abroad for a semester was the best experience of my life. I am so thankful to have had this opportunity and I would do it again in a heart beat! I learned and grew so much during my time abroad and I came back as a completely different person. Interning was probably one of my favorite parts because I was given opportunities I never thought I would be given. My favorite part was going to London Fashion Week. Even though I had classes and a job, I still had so much opportunity to travel and explore with my friends. 10/10 recommend.

My study abroad experience in London was absolutely incredible! From the internship pairing to exploring the city, both on my own and through program sponsored programs, I loved my experience! During the week, after I completed my internship or class session, I was able to venture around London, taking in the landmarks, museums and must see-sights. We had an Oyster Card provided to get to all parts of the city and leave no stone unturned! Then, on the weekends, I was able to travel across Europe and get a taste of other cultures around the continent!

I had the opportunity to study abroad in Sydney during the Fall 2019 semester through CAPA. It is easy to say that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! This was my first time ever leaving the US so it was definitely a huge life changing experience but one that was amazing. The staff both here in the US and Sydney were super helpful with our academics, internships, and were always there to help guide us along the way. The transition from entering Sydney was really easy for all of the students. This was such an amazing experience! I highly recommend for people to study abroad through CAPA Sydney!

I studied abroad In Dublin, Ireland, with CAPA, and it was the experience of a lifetime. I went for my spring semester of 2020, so my experience was cut short; however, I did get to go for about 50 days. To start, the people at CAPA were so helpful before and while I was there. Any questions you have, they can answer, which helped relieve my stress. CAPA is a great company that wants to make the transition as easy as possible. The city is absolutely beautiful, and it is easy to get around! Dublin is filled with history, culture, and amazing people. They have an excellent public transportation system as well, and you can walk everywhere. As a hospitality major, it was fantastic to take classes from a different perspective. I met some of the nicest people while I was there, and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

The CAPA London Global Business Institute Program, which I participated in during the Spring of 2020, had so much to offer! From a rigorous academic schedule that developed my knowledge of global business, to an incredible placement in an internship where I applied my skills in a hands-on environment, to a safe and comfortable housing arrangement, to fun and immersive events and activities. CAPA made me feel so supported both academically and socially. I loved every minute and would recommend the program to anyone interested in studying abroad!

I studied abroad in Sydney during the summer of 2019 during a 6-week program offered by my university in conjunction with CAPA. Opting for the class + internship option, I was able to study and work while exploring the city for the duration of my stay. As someone who comes from a travel oriented family, the option to study abroad was a question of where as opposed to when! I had always wanted to go to Australia and all the details with the program just so happened to work with my chaotic schedule: the time spent in country, the curriculum, the option to work abroad, the opportunities coordinated by CAPA--everything worked with what I expected and wanted. I can genuinely say that I felt comfortable while so far away from home, with the staff providing me with all the information, materials, and support I needed to succeed. I experienced so many once in a lifetime opportunities while in Sydney (Attending Vivid! Viewing movies at the Sydney Film Festival! Seeing a show at the Opera House!) that I will remember forever. I had the time of my life and would do everything all over again in a heartbeat.

So here we are, in the middle of a pandemic. Before this opportunity, I was planning to intern abroad and see the world in person when March rolled around, and everything was canceled. While it did hurt, CAPA reached out to me with their first global online internship opportunity for Summer 2020. From the moment I applied until a month before the program's start, I learned what to expect and even had an idea of what company I was interning for from home and what country the company was based in. Ultimately, I worked as a Journalism Intern for HerBusiness in Australia, where I learned much of the business's ins and outs. In addition to my internship, my class had many activities such as a mock interview, zoom classes on the dos and don'ts of cover letters, and much more. I felt like I learned much more in the virtual classroom and the internship than I ever did in the workforce. I am so glad I went because I wouldn't meet some of the people from London that I am still friends with up until now and they are all amazing. I have an excuse now to go back which is to visit those people and of course, Shoreditch. If you love art, you MUST visit the museums, especially Tate Modern, and Shoreditch. You'll see what I'm talking about ;)!

Although I happened to get my time abroad cut short I would not change any part of while I was able to be there. CAPA program provided each student with greatly organized activities and opportunities. They did not schedule students to have classes on Friday's which was amazing because they were always promoting the students to travel. Every weekend I was going to a different country and truly immersing myself in the many different cultures in Europe.

I couldn't have had such amazing and memorable experiences without the help of CAPA. I always felt safe when I was in the foreign country I decided to visit-Italy. All of the staff members were extremely supportive and gave us the best guidance possible in order to make us feel safe and comfortable. It wasn't easy living in a completely different country all of a sudden, but the CAPA staff made the transition smooth and helped us through any bumps we encountered throughout the entire semester. People you can trust and count on, no matter what.

In January of 2020, I traveled 10,000 miles away from home and started my monumetous adventure abroad in Sydney, Australia. There I attended classes with my fellow CAPA students learning about Australian history; sports in Australian society; and gender, culture, and society in Australia. I also participated in an internship with Nutrition Australia, where I learned a great deal about the daily operations of a non-government, non-profit community health organization while also advancing my professional skills to complete tasks related to nutrition, dietetics, health promotion and public health. I am extremely thankful to Nutrition Australia and everything my mentors and coworkers taught me! The CAPA Sydney program organizes housing for all students, you can choose between living with a host family or staying in student apartments. I chose to live with other CAPA students in the Oaks Apartments right next to Darling Harbour. I was lcukey to be placed with three amazing roommates, to whom I still speak with now that study abroad is over! All students are placed in the same apartment building which gave me the opportunity to meet others in the CAPA program outside of school. Due to the global pandemic, I was not able to experience the full study abroad program and had to return back to the states a month and a half early. The CAPA program did an amazing job supporting us and helping to navigate us through this unpredictable time My overall experience was a 11/10! I would totally recommend the CAPA Sydney: Study & Intern Program to any prospective students! I was extremely fortunate to meet so many exquisite

Studied in London with CAPA fall 2019 - before COVID hit. So much fun, met some of my best friends there. Staff is great. Internship experience was amazing - still in contact with site supervisors! Great location within London! **your travel is included with the program cost so you do not have to keep topping up your oyster card (unless you go out of the designated zones) BIG PLUS! I stayed in a homestay but CAPA's my global city events allowed me to interact with more people in the program and explore the city in a way that was outside of my comfort zone but allowed me to thrive.

Studying and interning through the CAPA program was an incredible experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life! I felt comfortable and safe the whole time knowing that the CAPA staff was ready to help with anything I may need. I met some of the greatest people working at my internship from local Italians to tourists from all around the world! CAPA’s various cultural immersion programs make it so easy to get involved with locals too. My internship at the Museo Leonardo da Vinci gave me a comfortable space to practice my Italian language skills which made going to work every day so exciting. My favorite take away from the program has been keeping in contact with the relationships I made in Florence. I highly recommend the program and the internship especially!

I had an incredible experience studying and interning abroad in London through CAPA! All of the staff and faculty were so welcoming and informative and really wanted to make sure that ALL students got the best experience out of their trips. I made friends for life through CAPA, and was able to challenge myself academically, professionally, and socially for the better. As threat levels continued to rise in March due to the pandemic, CAPA ensured everyone was accounted for and got home safely, which was comfort in such a difficult time.

Very appreciative my semester with CAPA. I studied abroad in London in spring 2019 and it was extremely helpful to have my housing, transportation, courses, and internship sorted out before arriving. They were able to fulfill my roommate request, so I was fortunate enough to live with my best friend in West Kensington. While it wasn't the biggest flat, the two of us lived very comfortably and even had a weekly cleaning service. It was a safe and convenient location in central London, plus the CAPA emergency/safety app helped me feel more at ease. The CAPA staff in London were available on site to offer assistance with classes and internships, important resources such as how to set up our phone plans, and recommendations of their favorite places. We also had the opportunity to go on some tours and excursions - most memorable were my trips to Oxford and Stonehenge & Bath. My courses and (guaranteed!) internship were aligned with my academic and professional goals. The one downside to the program is that my classmates were all American students. However, I ended up creating friendships with other Pitt students on my program and was able to maintain them once we were home.

CAPA was able to help my experience in London become so much better and helped me feel more comfortable adjusting to a new country. The staff who work here were really friendly and were always willing to help me when I had any questions or concerns. They were also able to place me in an amazing internship where I learned a lot and grew as an individual. CAPA also provided very fun excursions, such as visiting the Stonehenge and going to Oxford. Because of these trips, I was able to learn, not only about London, but more about the rest of England and Europe. CAPA was the perfect fit for me because they made me feel like I had someone to turn to if I needed assistance but also felt like I was given the opportunity to grow a lot of independence and live in London like a local.

This program has taught me how to be as independent as possible. From navigating around Barcelona to figuring out how to communicate with the locals. I was on my own the entire time, but I never left alone. The staff at CAPA was extremely helpful and always there to answer any questions or concerns I had about anything. They showed me how to get from my internship to my classes and back. Most importantly they worked with their students. They worked around our classes and put us first every time. I meet some amazing individuals and locals who taught me their ways and how to fit in with the modern Spanish culture. Not to mention the trips CAPA provided for their students were educational and fun! Loved this program.

Barcelona SAE was a great organization to work with! Everyone was extremely helpful. Despite this being their first virtual internship program, everyone still put in the effort to make this experience as normal as possible! We had weekly professional development opportunities as well. I would recommend Barcelona SAE to anyone considering it!

My program was online due to the pandemic, and despite that, Barcelona SAE made sure to keep contact with us and provide us with any resources we might need the entire time. They did basically everything right on their end and I would highly recommend choosing them if you want to study abroad in Barcelona.

Overall, the staff and advisors from Barcelona SAE were incredible. They really listened to what I wanted for my life as a professional and translated that into a perfect internship placement. In addition to accuracy of the match, they were incredibly supportive along the way. We had meetings to discuss how things were going, and would help us with any sort of issue that arose. On top of this, they offered coaching cafes to attend on Tuesdays to be supplementary to my working experience, how to market that in the future, and to give me a sense of cultural immersion even though I was not able to go to Barcelona due to COVID-19. Their support and perseverance to offer students like myself an experience during turbulent times really speaks to the amazing services they provide. I hope others utilize their future abroad experiences so they can have a life changing experience I had.

I was able to interview with multiple companies before picking one in an industry I was interested in. I got to pick which projects I worked on and did weekly coffee chats with the Barcelona SAE. I highly recommend gaining international work experience through Barcelona SAE for a personally tailored experience.

An experience of a lifetime! CAPA supported me from the moment I applied to the moment I arrived in Ireland. CAPA made me feel safe and kept me engaged and informed while I was in Dublin. Anyone who wants to study and learn about the culture of Dublin is the place to visit. I learned so much about the history and the culture of Ireland. Be apart of a family and go with someone who will connect and show you the ins and out of the country CAPA is the program to go with!

CAPA was the first study abroad program to bring me out of my Southern shell and broaden my international horizons! When my school introduced me to the program, I still was unsure about what I would do with my summer. I didn't know if I would attend summer classes or if I would take on an internship. CAPA was gracious enough to allow me to do both. I completed my Shakespeare requirement for my Bachelor's in English and got involved in the social media feed for a publishing company in London for six weeks. I have no problem mentioning that it was the best six weeks of my life! While I have many other places in the world to visit, I would have no problem going back to London and joining CAPA in the global experience again!

CAPA provides you a totally immersive student experience that caters to your interests and throws you into what London has to offer. I had an amazing 4 months meeting new people, exploring new places, and doing the things I wanted to do my entire life. Being able to immerse myself in the the West End, getting backstage tours and free theatre tickets, and getting full access to the global experience was one of the best experiences of my life.

I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia at one of CAPA many wonderful locations. I was not only a CAPA student but did a direct enrollment program into one of the local Universities called University of Technology Sydney. It was by far the best four months of my life and I made the best of memories there. To this very day I miss studying abroad and living in Australia! The CAPA program advisers helped me through every step of the process and really made what seemed to be an uncomfortable, out of my comfort zone, experience into a very exciting process that took the nerves of being 10,000 miles away from one away.

Studying abroad in Prague with CEA was one of the best experiences of my life. CEA was awesome with academic counseling and cultural immersion. I was paired up with roommates who had very similar lifestyles to mine, and they ended up becoming my best friends. CEA was also very attentive during the pre-departure process. I ended up making friends with some of the CEA staff while I was abroad as well. I would highly recommend this program to anyone.

While deciding on where to study abroad, I knew I wanted to be in Spain and be close to the ocean. After researching cities, Alicante seemed to be the perfect place, and it absolutely was. It was a smaller city with everything in walking distance. CEA made my study abroad experience so smooth and easy. With their detailed pre-departure list, reminders, and deadlines, preparing to leave was not as stressful as I thought it would be. I decided to live in an apartment, and I was matched with a roommate who is now one of my best friends. Our apartment was older and could have used some love, but it was perfectly and conveniently located- only a couple blocks walk from El Barrio (restaurants and bars), the beach, and the train station for class. While on site, our CEA specialists became our family away from home. They cared about us students as if we were their own children, and they encouraged us to travel, take part in local activities, and immerse ourself in the culture. CEA had amazing activities planned for us such as an overnight trip to Granada, wine tasting, hikes, cooking classes, and a day trip to the island of Tabarca. When I got a small stomach bug, the on site CEA employee Adriana came to the doctor with me and checked in on me every day until I was feeling better. At the end of the program, CEA offered internship and ambassador programs to continue our involvement with CEA, studying abroad, and the international community even when we came back to America.

I had an incredible experience in Sydney through the CAPA program. I was able to take classes that truly interested me while also having time to explore Sydney and other cities and countries. CAPA provided amazing housing and I met lifetime friends through the CAPA program. The activities that CAPA provided to us throughout the 4 months were amazing, my favorite was the overnight at the Taronga Zoo! If you're in the process of choosing a program to study with, CHOOSE CAPA!! I would do it all again in a heartbeat if I had the opportunity!

I absolutely enjoyed my study abroad experience with CEA. They made sure to give clear instructions pre-departure and made me confident in my ability to succeed abroad. The staff are always so friendly and willing to help. Throughout my time in Spain, the planned excursions and activities made me feel closer with my friends, and certainly pushed me out of my comfort zone! I wouldn’t change anything in my study abroad experience, I would definitely recommend CEA for students thinking about going abroad!

CAPA absolutely made Florence exceptional! The staff was so kind, and could help you with literally anything. Even though I was only there for four weeks, with CAPA, I was able to feel like I saw the entire city! The school, and my apartment, where both in beautiful and convenient locations. The only thing that could have made my trip better, was if I was able to stay with CAPA even longer, they truly made my time in Italy unforgettable!

I am so glad that I spent my summer 2019 abroad in Dublin, Ireland. It was without a doubt the most fun and adventurous summer I have ever had in my life. The program I was in lasted ten weeks. CAPA did a great job coordinating both my classes and my internship. CAPA was instrumental in setting everything up beforehand (where I would be staying, where I would be taking classes, etc.) as well as maintaining the same helpfulness after we had arrived. Studying at Griffith college was an amazing opportunity and a new experience for me, as I had never taken classes outside of my home university. The university is only about a mile away, which doesn't seem very far after the all of the walking you will inevitably be doing around Dublin. I was also very happy with my internship. CAPA asked me a few questions beforehand regarding my interests and where I would like to be placed. I really enjoyed the company I ended up working for. CAPA also provided everyone with detailed directions on how to navigate the city and get to your internship site, along with bus fares if needed. Lastly, the housing accommodations were very nice. Staycity apartments, where we stayed, is a very nice apartment complex that typically holds four people in two bedrooms, a kitchenette, a small living room, and a balcony.

Since the end of high school, I knew that at some point I was going to go study abroad in Spain but thinking back it was everything I expected and then a whole lot more. I have been passionate about learning Spanish for about 3 years, so I made a lot of progress before I arrived in Barcelona. Less than a year before going abroad I learned about another language, Catalan, that is spoken in the state in which Barcelona is located. I quickly started to also learn Catalan and this with the addition of Spanish was a real benefit for my time abroad. I was able to stay with a host family who did not speak any English and I took all-Spanish classes through the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and CEA. There were even more opportunities to meet locals through CEA and the interns there who do different activities like hikes or exploring different cafes. I enjoyed talking with both the staff and the interns at CEA and I continue to talk with a few. Through this full immersion, I saw incredible progress with my level of comfort speaking the language. I enjoyed the long conversations with my host family as we were all able to learn more about each other and our different cultures. Staying with a host family was perfect because you have someone there for support to help you acclimate with the new culture and location. My host family and I would discuss a celebration or event, I would learn about it in class, and then I was able to see it happen in the streets of Barcelona. Never have I taken classes that have been so applicable to my real life it was very amazing for me. I took a Spanish language class through the UAB and there were people from all over the world in my class. We would talk about festivals and current news as well as bettering our Spanish skills. My Spanish Cinema class at CEA allowed me to learn more about the culture on a more intimate level as we watched very interesting movies that often critiqued the culture at that time. With our discussions about cinema and the films that we watched, it has changed the way that I think about and watch movies. I also had a Spanish Civilization and Culture class at CEA in which we discussed the history of the region of Spain going back thousands of years. We went into detail about the holidays and festivals and learned about their historic background. One of my most favorite parts was going on a field study when we saw ruins under the streets of Barcelona from the Roman city that was once there 2,000 years ago. Studying abroad and my experiences from my classes have completely opened my perspective as I have come to know and learn from people all over the world. Being able to ski in the Pyrenees mountains was incredible as I have not hardly seen mountains because I am from the flat Midwest. I also have not been to a beach very much, so I took many walks along the beach enjoying the cool ocean breeze. From travelling to other neighboring countries like Portugal and France, I could compare the different cultures and ways of life to those that I had learned about in Spain. I was also able to meet more locals by going to the climbing gym regularly. Going at the same time on the same days every week I grew relationships with the people that came on those similar days. CEA gave us the tools to soak in as much of this new culture that we could through their cultural activities and informative meetings. We learned how to comfortably acclimate to our new surroundings and best take advantage of them. CEA were always there to help and did a great job preparing us by giving useful information before we arrived in Barcelona. With the help of CEA and their connection to my host family I had an amazing time and lived my dream life in Barcelona.

CEA aided me in the pre-departure process as much as one could possibly expect. From making a payment schedule that worked with my financial needs to guiding me through the immigration process step-by-step, the staff always made sure we had support. In London, where I studied, CEA made sure to host events and excursions included in our tuition that allowed us to meet people and experience the diversity of cultures thriving in London. I highly recommend it!

CEA French Riviera is truly the absolute best study abroad program you can choose for your study abroad experience. This program is quite niche, nestled in Antibes (the yacht capital of Europe), this program features studies at a top French Business School (SKEMA Sofia-Antipolis) in a place people around the world dream to live. You get to experience what it is like to live in a town right on the water, Antibes is the most beautiful place I think I have ever visited. On top of that major destinations such as Cannes, Grasse, Monaco, and Nice are a short train ride away. The very best part of this program is CEA's onsite director Kristen. She made this program for our group (which by the way was only 20 people). Kristen does so many excursions that you will find by the end of your program that you have seen all the French Riviera has to offer. She is always quick to answer questions, and offers fun onsite activities like wine tasting. CEA changed my life, they allowed me to go on a program most would never think to go on, and get a once in a lifetime experience! I can't wait to go back to Antibes soon, to enjoy my beautiful second home!

CEA made my time in Sevilla truly incredible. They provided the best cultural, academic, economic and personal development opportunities. I learned so much about myself and the world. I learned to journal. I learned to speak a language, and speak it well. I learned to expose myself to new people and ideas. I learned to empathize with people living in a traditional country. I learned about the horrors of Franco and the Inquisition, about the beauties of Spanish art and female teachers in the early 1900s. The experience could not have been more worthwhile. The classes offered to me at the University of Seville (Spanish language instruction) and at the CEA center (English language instruction) were fantastic and so thought-provoking. The professors, all Sevillanos, were incredibly kind and considerate. I learned so much about culture, history, literature and art. I was able to hone my Spanish, travel around Spain and Europe rather affordably, and take advantage of the amazing CEA opportunities (everything from flamenco classes to visiting Lisbon, Portugal). I adored everything about my living situation. Lola, the kindest, most hilarious, and culinary genius of a host-mom made my life so beautiful in Sevilla. I lived in a young, hip neighborhood, full of families and murals and bars and delicious tapas, as well as other fun restaurants, like an amazing Middle Eastern one, a yummy burger place, and a truly terrific Italian heaven.

Studying abroad with CEA pushed me academically and personally to go outside my comfort zone and grasp every opportunity that came my way. Thanks to the support of the CEA Paris Center staff, I was able to apply for jobs within the city, learn about the best places to hang out (such as some awesome language exchange cafes), and accomplish seeing everything I set out to and then some. The team worked diligently to provide us with enriching cultural experiences, taking us to the opera and a football match, hosting cheese tastings, and leading trips to different parts of the country. I am thankful I experienced all that I did with CEA, because CEA is more than just a company, it is a community. I will always cherish the memories I got to make with the CEA team and my fellow students.

I studied in Dublin in the fall of 2019. I was the only student from my college, and I was completely terrified. I had never traveled further than outside the New England area, much less out of the country. In addition to this, I was a first semester senior. So I knew going in that this may be one of my most challenging semesters. Especially in a new academic environment, different from any other I had been exposed to. Most of my worries and fears stemmed from this. I was petrified that I wouldn’t be able to handle my course load. Since I was a senior, my home institution required that I take 5 courses, as well as an internship while in Dublin. I had already known that I had good time management skills. At home I had taken five classes and worked during one semester. I knew I could do it at home, but I was worried that the cultural differences would make it difficult for me to succeed. I have never been so happy to be wrong in my life. They say that studying abroad changes you in ways that you’d never imagine. I can say from first hand experience that they are absolutely true. My semester abroad was the best that I have ever had. I ended up becoming friends with everyone in my program! This made my transition and adjustment so much easier. In addition to this, I had the endless support of the CAPA staff in Dublin. If ever I had a question, comment, concern, or just wanted to share something I had learned, they were always there and more than happy to listen. My courses were some of the best I’ve ever taken while in college. Each lecturer made their class filled with new knowledge in ways that I can apply to my career. We analyzed problems for real-life scenarios, then worked as a group to find real life solutions. As a business major, with hope of one day starting my own business, this is incredibly useful. My internship was one of my favorite places to be during the week. I worked 15 hours, going to my site four days out of the week. My internship was at a startup Irish fashion company called Tonn. They make specialty T-shirts themed with the beauty of Ireland. I learned so much from being there. The company itself is only made up of four to five people, so I was able to see first hand the ups, downs, joys, and struggles of owning your own business. Here I learned how to plan for the unexpected, when and how to cope with frustrations, as well as when to walk away. In the U.S. I feel we sometimes struggle with this. Sometimes we take on more than we can chew, or get so invested in what we are doing that we can forget how important it is to take a break. My internship and my courses taught me that walking away and taking breaks are essential to success. While we would love to complete a task all at once, it is important to remember that we are not robots. We cannot run, continuously, forever. We are all human, and that is what makes us unique. They say that studying abroad changes you in ways you can’t imagine. I can say that they are right. My time abroad allowed me to learn more about myself than I ever had before. It allowed me room to grow as a person, and find myself in places I’d never thought I’d be. I have made relationships that will last a lifetime, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

This was my first experience in Europe and I couldn't have asked for anything better. CAPA organized numerous excursions for us and set up our housing in a cozy hostel. My favorite part about the trip was the walking tour around Shoreditch. It was beautiful and we were able to learn the area's history through a personal tour guide. Additionally, all of the staff member were jut a phone call away if we ever needed anything which made me feel safe and comfortable when getting acquainted to a brand new country.

My time in Seville with CEA was literally the best three and a half months of my life. As a first-time traveler outside of the U.S., I experienced so many different places and cultures, met amazing friends, conquered my fear of flying and improved my Spanish big-time. The onsite professors and administrators, as well as the offsite staff, are very communicative, personable and helpful. They really take the time to get to know students. I really enjoyed the program excursions, especially the one to Morrocco. Taking a large group of college students to another continent for the weekend is no simple feat, but the staff handled it with grace and skill. This program and this city are close to my heart!

Interning in Australia was a life changing experience. It made me sure of what I want to do with my life as well as helped get my foot in the door before actually taking the step to go to get my degree. I worked in a Chiropractic clinic which was amazing because I have always wanted to be a chiropractor. I also loved my homestay, my host mom and her friends and family made my experience so much better than I could ever have imagined! I had a lot of free time on the weekends allowing me to do so much stuff around Sydney and New South Wales. I had such an amazing experience!

Choosing this program has forever changed my life! I absolutely had the time of my life in Sevilla and couldn't have asked for a better study abroad experience. The best parts were the AMAZING staff and the INCREDIBLE host family they paired me with! The CEA Sevilla staff became my close friends, helping me with everything from lost luggage, to school projects, to giving me the best restaurant recommendations. The excursions that CEA organized for us were amazing and likely experiences I could have never organized on my own- like local cooking classes, flamenco shows, and even trips to Granada/Córdoba and Morocco! One of the most impactful parts of studying abroad was my loving host family. Living with them truly allowed me to learn more about the local Sevillano culture, improve my Spanish speaking skills, as well as simply develop and amazing relationship with some locals. Overall, my friends and I couldn't have chosen a better program or a better city to live in for a semester! I cannot wait to travel back and visit my friends at the CEA Sevilla Center! (shoutout to Vicky y Fede :) )

I remember growing up as a little girl I would dream of traveling the world and becoming the woman that I am today. My university and CAPA gave me the opportunity to do so as well as branch out and become a representative for both upon my return to the United States. I was able to experience so many things related to my medical career in such a short amount of time, which only rekindled my love for medicine and helping others. The program in itself was very informative and allowed me to further my studies in healthcare and gave me a different outlook on life as well as the people in it that I will be able to help every day. This is an amazing program for those of you who are willing to travel the world in hopes of becoming a healthcare professional.

My time in Sydney will always stay with me. It is an amazing city and a place that I one day will want to be my forever home. My experience with CAPA Sydney was a great experience and program was a tight knit group that became a family. CAPA made the transition to a new city incredibly easy and offered great support system. CAPA Sydney is a study center, so your classes and housing are with other American university students - making it a different type of experience. So, if you are looking to meet locals - thats on you to branch out and make those connections.

During the fall semester of 2019, I had the opportunity to study abroad and absolutely loved it! My semester was filled with travels to wonderful beaches and new places, and was overall a great adventure for my independence. The classes at the CAPA center had wonderful professors that enjoyed helping students, and really cared about ensuring that our study abroad experience gave us enough time to enjoy the new country we were in as well! The city of Sydney was beautiful and featured easy transportation since CAPA paid for our transportation by giving us OPAL cards and paying for us to travel domestically. The excursions that we went on were amazing, from a hike in the blue mountains with an energetic tour-guide to an overnight stay at the Taronga zoo, where we got to see nocturnal animals at night and even feed giraffes their breakfast! A unique aspect of CAPA is the ability to participate in both an internship and study-abroad classes while abroad. I enjoyed my internship thoroughly because I was able to network with my employer there, improve my sparse resume, and learn information necessary to my future career once I graduate. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking for an incredible adventure where they can experience another country's culture, improve their resume, and become more independent!

CAPA is a unique study abroad experience that gave me some amazing opportunities for personal growth. I studied in Barcelona in spring 2019. My specific program was small which at first was scary but it came with some amazing flexibility. The small class sizes allowed professors to personalize the coursework and even take us on trips to teach us lessons in terms of their lives in the city. This means professors could give us their unique take on living in Barcelona from the city rather than a classroom. I had friends in other programs in the city as well. Although these other students enjoyed their experience I honestly feel that CAPA did an exceptional job of encouraging immersion and providing a raw look at what it means to live in a global city. The internship opportunities are also something that stands out among study abroad programs that they provide. I cannot recommend CAPA highly enough!

CAPA was one of the most rewarding decisions I made. The professors made all of the material easy to understand and all of the coursework was not very demanding. The professors were really easy going and made sure no questions were left unanswered. For someone with learning accommodations, CAPA was able to provide the same experience I receive at my home institution in Australia. CAPA offers excursions and they were really cool! We had an overnight stay in the Taronga Zoo and I was able to go kayaking and rock climbing. During my three months there, we lived in a hotel with three other people. The apartments were spacious and we were located in the heart of downtown Sydney. The program gives you a free transportation card that can be used within the right zone which saves you a lot of money. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I would do it all over again if I could.

I studied abroad in Granada with CEA in the Summer of 2019. I was especially impressed with my site specialist, the on-site staff, and how well-organized the whole program was. Every staff member was so knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I would highly recommend CEA to anyone, and I would also recommend Granada to anyone thinking about studying abroad in Spain. Granada is such a unique and beautiful city. My entire experience was so worthwhile and we were given the opportunity to do so many amazing activities that were also included in the program price. We toured the Alhambra, visited Cordoba, Seville, and Morocco, and went to 2 different flamenco shows! I was so impressed with how well-planned everything was, and I also have CEA to thank for pairing me with my wonderful host mom. We became so close, and it was truly heart-breaking to have to leave after 2 and a half months. The educational portion of the program was also outstanding; I had very knowledgeable professors and a diverse course selection through the University of Granada. My Spanish-speaking skills and confidence improved exponentially in just a few weeks due to the cultural activities I was involved in and the classes I was taking at the university. It was truly an unforgettable and fulfilling adventure, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking into education abroad in Europe.

Participating in CEA's study abroad program in Prague was the best decision I ever could have made. As my first ever trip outside of the USA, CEA really made my departure and arrival the best it could be with help all the way from before the application process to after my return home. I never felt unsure about what to do next or what to expect as CEA staff and such were always there to answer questions or give me helpful pointers. Being in Prague itself was the most memorable thing to date, the apartment I got to stay in was amazing, clean and spacious and not to mention in a great part of the city that gave me easy access to anywhere I wanted to be in Prague. Attending classes at AAU was just as great, the classes themselves were interesting and engaging, the professors were helpful and awesome, and the building itself was beautiful. The CEA office was barely a five-minute walk from campus and so I always felt easily connected to the staff if I ever needed anything, plus they were always were timely in responding to any emails. The excursions CEA planned for us abroad students really helped me see more of the beautiful city I was living in and helped me feel like I really made the best of my time abroad. I always felt extremely safe, always knowing the staff was a call or an email away, and they were so helpful in connecting us with anyone or anything else we might've needed while abroad- everything from medical services to the best banks to use. My time abroad with CEA is an experience I will never be able to forget and helped fulfill one of my biggest dreams of getting out there into the world and seeing other countries. I am so glad I chose to study abroad with CEA.

My experience with being in the British Culture was the best time ever. I was able to enjoy the community and truly get outside my comfort zone. I would highly recommend the CAPA program, because they really provide you with a comfortable experience. They do their absolute best with meeting your needs from helping you schedule doctor's appointments to recommendations on food and shopping! The program is very beneficial and the faculty and staff want to make your experience great! It was a great experience.

The CEA staff is the best!! I went to most of the activities they provided for us and it was a great way to meet new people and learn more about Prague. I went on all of the excursions which had great food and fun, interesting activities. The brunches were a great way to eat good Czech food and get to know everyone more. The school was very beautiful and the professors were great.

Studying abroad has easily been my greatest experience in life thus far and part of that is thanks to Kristen and CEA. Whether it was traveling for excursions every other weekend, catching a train or plane from Nice, or spending time in Antibes with other Americans or international students, every moment I spent was amazing. Cannot express how glad I was to visit the Côte d'Azur and cannot wait to go back!

After coming back from a semester abroad in Florence, Italy I truly believe that I was a changed person for the better. When people ask me how my time abroad went, I always tell them, "It was life-changing." and I truly mean this because there are so many benefits and opportunities to learn new things for anybody who decides to go study abroad. Something very valuable I attained while abroad was learning how to live on my own which included learning skills such as how to cook, be more responsible with my time, learn how to budget, and many more things associated with living on your own for the first time. Aside from those skills, there are the more apparent things you can learn while studying abroad such as possibly learning a new language, being introduced to a new culture, meeting new people and forming life-long friendships, and anything you'd associate with studying abroad. Personally, one of my favorite things about studying abroad is being able to travel not only within a new country, but surrounding countries that might not have been possible had I not studied abroad. There is just something different when you travel with a group of friends, new people, or even on your own that just allows you to feel free and liberated. Being able to see so many new things within the borders and culture of another country outside of your circle of knowledge allows you to see so many things in a completely different light especially when you come back home, it truly is an amazing experience. CAPA, the organization that I studied abroad through is very kind and knowledgeable on local hotspots that you might find fascinating, plus they are more than happy to assist you with any needs related to travel or not! If you are reading this and you are on the fence to study abroad or not my recommendation would be to go. There is always a multitude of reasons to not do something, however it is equally important to know the benefits of doing something. And in the case of studying abroad I am a firm believer that traveling, although not cheap is absolutely worth it, many people who I met on my trip had told me that they were first intimidated by the price tag of the trip, however there are many ways to raise funds of this such as scholarships, sponsors, and even working a minimum wage job can cover a substantial amount of the cost, which a majority of my peers did including myself. Overall, I have no regrets for studying abroad and regardless if you think you're studying abroad "material" or capable of making such a significant change in your life, I guarantee you won't regret it.

Studying ing Granada was such a life-changing experience. It sounds so cliche, but the reality of it is that when you return from studying abroad, you have so much new knowledge, experience, and gained skills that it transforms you as a person. 10/10!!

Living in Paris has given me not only the opportunity to live in my favorite city in the world, providing me with new reasons why I love it each day, but it also gave me the opportunity to get to travel to other incredible cities, that essentially left me even more aware of the reasons why Paris will forever be home to me, and why nothing felt better than the peace that filled my heart each time my budget airline flight hit the tarmac at Orly or Charles de Gaulle airport. During my time in Paris, I was consistently pushed out of my comfort zone, in which I quite literally dove into the world of French language and culture. My ultimate goal during my semester was to improve my French and reach near-fluency level, as well as truly see if I have what it takes to live in a big European city with a national language that was not native to me. Although these were my destinations, the true beauty and life-changing growth I experienced was found on the twisting turns of the Parisian journey. I have made several French and European friends that were perfect for learning about the French culture and improving my French conversational skills, and it doesn't hurt to add that they are some of the richest and beautiful friendships and relationships I have ever encountered, making the "au revoirs" all the more painful, in which we turned them into "à bientôts" instead. While learning about the incredible aspects of French culture such as the rhetorical strategies behind the French's love for arguing, the importance of meals and café culture to the overall well-being and philosophical state of French society, I ended up learning so much about myself. I have learned so much about my dreams and values, and what makes up who I am. And after this life-changing time in Paris, I have realized that I owe so much of who I am becoming to this city. I have learned that no matter how far across the world you may be, if you are with the right people, anywhere can feel like home, and I learned that I could not be more in love with Paris. Nothing will ever compare to the growth, confidence, hunger to learn, and utter joy that this city and Parisians have brought to me.

In the Fall of 2019, I studied at Griffith College with approximately 20 other American students, and it was an experience I will never forget. For as much as you grow in college, nothing matures you faster than a semester abroad. You are pushed out of your comfort zone, but in the best way possible. Through CAPA's program, I met such amazing friends from across the country, some hailing from L.A., NYC, and everywhere in between. I was challenged academically in a way much different from the U.S. Rather than having the daily, rigorous demands of homework and lectures in stuffy halls, my CAPA classes such as Global Cities required us to go into the city and immerse ourselves with the people, with the culture, and most importantly, the unfamiliar. A semester abroad will mostly be filled with experiences that are unfamiliar and uncomfortable. However, those moments of uncertainty often grow into the best moments and without a doubt, the most educational. For instance, my suitemates and I learned to cook for ourselves, which although was sometimes disastrous, it led to some of the most unforgettable moments from my semester. We learned to take public transportation using the Dublin Bus system, we became comfortable with traveling (especially with the wonderful accessibility of flights through the Dublin airport) and began to seek out new experiences. We became comfortable with the unfamiliarity that we experienced, and that's something you don't always have on a college campus in the states. Before I departed on my flight for my semester abroad, I felt terrified. I was unsure as to whether or not I would enjoy the semester, if I would feel terribly homesick, or if I would make true friends while away for four months. I was so fearful of what I was about to embark on. But now, I would jump on that plane and redo the semester in a heartbeat. I feel as though I grew so much throughout my time there, as I made decisions on my own, branched out and made new friends, and most definitely lived outside the bounds of my comfort zone. Even though I did get homesick at times, or was unsure of how to go about things in Dublin or at Griffith, CAPA had an amazing team on call to help with any issues. The CAPA Representatives present (Hayley, Darren, Suzanna, and Anna) truly made the semester flawless and enjoyable. As they hosted trips to the Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Belfast, and even some delicious meals in between, they made you feel self-assured and confident in your abilities while abroad. It was a decision I have never regretted in my life. CAPA Dublin was a once in a lifetime experience for me, and I will forever look back on it as the best four months of my life. Coming from a girl who was so nervous and shy before her semester, this program allows for GROWTH and RISK in the best way possible. Take that chance, apply for the program, and hop on that flight. You won’t regret it!

Studying abroad with CEA in Buenos Aires was the experience of a lifetime. I learned so much about the culture, the language, and myself. The CEA staff in Argentina are absolutely wonderful. They are so helpful and personable, which made the experience so much smoother. I took the intensive Spanish course at the advanced level and learned so much. I also gained so much confidence in my Spanish-speaking ability just through my every day use of it in the city and with my host mom. I absolutely loved my host mom and roommates, they helped me to have the best time. There were really great events and excursions put on by CEA that helped me get to know the country and my peers in the program. I would recommend CEA and Buenos Aires to anyone who wants to study abroad, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Prague was by far the most amazing experience of my life. I have been abroad countless times, but never like this. Although it may have seemed like I blew through the ratings, giving everything a 10, that truly is how I felt. I adored my class, had an incredible apartment and roommates, and quite literally had the time of my life. I am moving to Europe post-grad because of this program.

I knew that I wanted a small city where i could emerge myself in the culture. I was able to do that In Alicante. All the excursions planned by CEA were perfect. I learned so much. My favorite excursion was a weekend trip to Granada. It was amazing. I was able to learn so much about Spain while living there. I love every day, it was a new adventure and it felt like a dream.

Studying abroad in Southern France this past summer was by far the best experience of my life! Though I was there for 6 weeks, I knew that time would go by quickly and I would need to take in every second of it. I visited museums, historical sites, and signed up for anything that I could that would help me to experience the local culture. Studying abroad with CEA in particular was great because they made transitioning so effortless. When you get there, they discuss rules, places you should visit, how to get around, what to expect while you are abroad, and much more. Our on cite-specialists truly did become our parents for the 6 weeks we were there and the people I studied abroad with were my new family. Overall, I can confidently say that studying abroad has helped to grow my cultural footprint, and has made me a more open and healthy well-rounded individual. In those 6 weeks, I was able to interact and work with people from other countries, understand the layers and intricacy of global issues, and have greater intercultural learning. I believe that those are things that are learned through practice and experience. Because of how meaningful my experience abroad was, I am currently working towards moving and starting a career in France.
