How do you manage safety on expedition?

Safety is our number one priority. Unlike other youth expedition providers, we own and manage our own camps which enables us to ensure an unparalleled level of security for our travelers. We only use vetted transport approved by nationally recognised accreditations meaning you can rest assured in the knowledge that they will be receiving the very best in safety management and quality of experience.

What are the age and eligibility requirements?

Our Costa Rica: Pura Vida Expedition, Ecuador: Chulla Vida Expedition and Peru: Sacred Valley Expedition are open to high school students aged 14 to 17. No prior travel or volunteer background is necessary, but participants should be open-minded, ready to work in teams, and prepared for life in a remote and eco-focused environment.

What will the food be like?

There will be a variety of western and traditional style dishes throughout your expedition. We can cater for most dietary requirements, but please make sure you let us know before you travel to allow our in-country team to plan and prepare for your arrival.

My trip to Ecuador with Camps International really opened my eyes and allowed me to experience a completely different way of life. It was incredible to get to meet local people and learn new skills from them. Coming back from the trip, I wanted to learn more about the world, and I was inspired to take a degree in Anthropology which involves studying culture and how people live.
