Camp Outlook is a nonprofit organization started by Ron Kimberley in 1970. For more than 40 years since our inception, we have organized free summer and winter camps for young people. These are possible, thanks to the generosity of our private donors and volunteers as well as through fundraising drives. Our campers consist mainly of youth candidates going through a difficult time at school or at home or candidates who cannot afford to go on a trip. Other than these, we look into other considerations when choosing participants for our camps.
Our summer programs involve 9-15 days of canoe trips and various activities in Algonquin Provincial Park. These are open to 130-140 campers divided into groups and supervised by volunteer staff members. Our fall and winter programs are weekend trips with activities like shelter building, snowshoeing, and hiking. All these camp experiences inspire young people to appreciate the outdoors more while developing their social and learning skills.
