Boresha Maisha Global Adventure Academy

Boresha Maisha Global Adventure Academy is a Tanzania-based gap year, volunteer abroad and internship provider offering immersive 6 and 12-week programs that combine accredited Global Citizenship education with meaningful community placements and unforgettable travel experiences.

Inspired by the Scandinavian folk school model, we believe the best education happens through living, learning and exploring alongside others. Our students work with locally led organisations in community development, women's empowerment, childcare, global health, veterinary and animal welfare, while completing a Level 3 Global Citizenship Diploma and developing the skills to engage ethically across cultures.

What makes us different is our balance of purpose and adventure. Rather than treating volunteering as a short-term activity, we combine structured internships, ethical volunteering training, personal development, Swahili, cultural immersion and partner-led Legacy Projects with safari, mountains, waterfalls, coffee country, Zanzibar and life alongside an international cohort in Arusha.

Our mission is simple: help young people travel with purpose, contribute responsibly and return home with far more than a certificate—leaving with lifelong friendships, global perspective and the confidence to create meaningful impact wherever life takes them.
