Asia Internship Program

I can’t say enough good things about this study abroad internship program in Japan. From day one, the support team went above and beyond — helping with everything from housing logistics to navigating cultural norms at the workplace, to just checking in to see how I was adjusting. Whenever I hit a snag (and there were a few, since everything was so new!), someone was always just a message away with real, helpful guidance. Working abroad completely shifted how I see the world and myself. Culturally, I learned to appreciate the nuance in Japanese communication styles — the emphasis on harmony, indirectness, and reading context that isn’t always spelled out. It pushed me to be more observant and adaptable in ways I didn’t expect. Professionally, it was just as transformative. I picked up a whole new appreciation for structure, teamwork, and attention to detail in a Japanese work environment, and it’s changed how I approach collaboration and problem-solving even now that I’m back home. This program didn’t just give me work experience — it gave me a completely new lens for how I think about both my career and myself. If you’re considering doing a study abroad internship, especially in Japan, I can’t recommend this program enough. The team truly cares about your growth, both professionally and personally.

I had an amazing six-month experience with Asia Internship Program. From the very beginning, the entire process of finding my internship was incredibly smooth and well organized, which made everything much less stressful. Throughout my six months, I felt genuinely supported whenever I needed help or had questions. I got the chance to have a six week internship in Seoul, South Korea thanks to AIP, and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done! All the AIP staff were beyond accommodating and always made sure we had everything we needed to feel prepared and comfortable navigating such a new environment. Herlyn, Daisie, Jinwoo, Tyler, and Nisha were all wonderful and made my time abroad just that much more special. I absolutely loved my internship placement and would do it again in a heartbeat. AIP was amazing across the board! Totally recommend!
