Asia Internship Program

I had a pleasant experience doing an overseas internship in Bangkok with Asia Internship Programme (AIP). The staff were all very professional and helped to make sure my time in Thailand was wonderful.

I did a 10-week internship with AIP in a Bangkok start-up fintech firm. My experience here has been nothing but fulfilling and enriching. I met amazing colleagues who were nurturing and taught me a lot about finance and Thailand in general! I met many new friends here as well and we did some travels out of the city during the weekends. Huge shout-out to Nisha who was very helpful during my interview and placement process, to constant check-ins in Bangkok. I was unfortunately hospitalised during my 2nd week here but received amazing private healthcare here and Nisha very kindly offered to come down and visit! Bangkok is overall a great place to stay with good food, amazing amazing culture and great shopping!

My 10-week internship in Taiwan through the Asia Internship Program was an unforgettable and meaningful experience. From the application and company placement process to the pre-departure arrangements and my time in Taiwan, the AIP team, especially Nisha and Roro, was responsive, supportive, and helpful whenever I had questions. The internship gave me the opportunity to experience a real international working environment, apply the knowledge I gained in university, and develop both technical and professional skills. Working in a Chinese-speaking workplace was challenging at times, but it also encouraged me to improve my communication skills, adapt to a different environment, and become more independent. Outside of work, living in Taiwan allowed me to experience a new culture, explore the country, and meet people from different backgrounds. I am grateful for the opportunity and would highly recommend AIP to students who are looking to gain overseas work experience, broaden their perspectives, and challenge themselves both personally and professionally.
