From business Korean to classes specially formulated for K-pop junkies, there’s guaranteed to be a Korean language class for you in one of Seoul’s language schools.

Korean language courses are offered by universities, such as Hankuk University and Konkuk University, and private language learning schools. These universities have specific departments dedicated to intensive, short-term language programs open to Korean enthusiasts of all ages, who don’t necessarily have to be university students to apply. There are language programs ranging from just a basic language course for a flat fee to comprehensive packages including all the bells and whistles. Depending on the level of support you feel comfortable with, you can customize your program to include add-ons like airport pickup or breakfasts. Classes are typically four to five days a week with a three-hour day of rigorous language study. Of course, no well-rounded language education would be complete without cultural know-how, so most schools offer excursions and cultural workshops on the weekends or after class.

I studied at LTL Korean Language School for about 77 days, starting Korean from absolute beginner level and progressing to elementary level, and I had a genuinely great experience. I learned so much that I didn’t know beforehand, and the teaching style made Korean feel approachable and practical from day one. The environment was relaxed, supportive, and motivating, which made it easy to stay consistent and enjoy learning. What really stood out was the staff and community. The team didn’t just teach — they truly cared about the students. They organized school activities, took us out to eat together, and created chances to connect and practice Korean outside the classroom. Huge thanks to Hailey, Lio, Manuel, 현영, and especially my teacher 고민시 — everyone was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout my time there. If you’re serious about learning Korean and want a school that feels welcoming, engaging, and well-organized, I highly recommend LTL.

Program: Summer Korean Immersion Program at Seoul

I had so much fun! I thought the material was taught really well, and it was pretty easy to understand what we were learning. The afternoon activities were also really fun! I got to go to so many different places and experience so many different things in the Korean culture. I also thought the program had a nice balance of work/class time, mandatory activities, and free time. With that nice balance got to do what I wanted to do and even would have some time to myself during the week.
