Language Programs in Playa del Carmen, Mexico

The National Registration Center for Study Abroad has partnered with The Mayan Riviera Spanish School to bring students the opportunity to study the language in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Located a short distance from pristine white sand beaches, the school has designed its programs to accentuate its unique Caribbean location. The school features open-style architecture, with most classes and on-site cultural activities taking place in thatched roof learning areas called palapas, which are surrounded by tropical gardens. The school design creates a relaxed and inviting atmosphere in which to intensively learn Spanish.

Playa del Carmen offers a hot and humid climate, blessed with miles of unspoiled white sandy beaches, crystal-clear Caribbean waters and easy access to the magnificent Mayan ruins such as Chichen Itza, Tulum, and Uxmal. These Mayan pyramids and temples are silent testimonies to the powerful civilization that built them and designated them holy places. Xel-Ha, a National Park and ecological wonder where fresh and seawater mingle to create a natural aquarium, contains several pre-hispanic temples which are a must see. Eight minute walk to the beach and the bustling Avenida 5 (5th Avenue). Stunning school with outdoor pool, roof top terraces and self catering residence rooms are located on campus.

Playa del Carmen is a true paradise, with its sandy beaches, turquoise waters, ancient Mayan ruins, magical cenotes, and spicy Mexican cuisine. You can begin your course on any Monday you choose, for as many weeks as you wish. Our intensive programme helps you develop real fluency, with classes in the morning and activities in the afternoon. Program Details Timetable: Monday to Friday, 9:30–13:30 (including a 20-minute break) 20 hours per week (1 hour = 55 minutes) Over six hours per week of social and cultural activities Small groups: Up to eight students per class (average 4–5) If you already have some knowledge of Spanish, you may start your intensive course on any Monday of the year (except holidays). If you have no previous knowledge of Spanish, please choose one of our beginner start dates. Course Prices USD 250 per week – up to 4 weeks USD 230 per week – up to 12 weeks USD 200 per week – from 13 weeks The price includes more than six hours per week of activities, although entrance fees and transport are not included. You can also enhance your stay by combining your intensive course with private Latin dance lessons or Mexican cooking class (from USD 38 per hour).
