What made your experience abroad unique?
I had already been to the Czech Republic three times, so I had a good awareness about the culture and a bit of the language. I highly recommend learning useful phrases before arrival in your chosen location. Prague is a very walkable city, and has excellent public transportation—plus, it's much cheaper than many other European locations.
How did local staff support you throughout your program?
The local staff made sure all my needs were met. They ensured I had plenty of support and logistical knowledge of the area. I didn't need my hand to be held through the process, but they were there for me nonetheless. Thank you!

What's one thing you wish you would have done differently?
I only wish I would have taken this step sooner! Since graduating, I've lived and traveled through the Czech Republic, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, and various other countries like Mongolia, Russia, the Philippines, and even Central America! Just take the plunge and get out here.
Describe a typical day in the life of your program.
Each day was filled with exciting activities and learning opportunities. The various classes on writing, speaking, concept-checking, and other teaching methods were taught in such a way to allow me to understand and utilize my ability to become a member of the international teaching community. Depending on the participants and particular focus of each lesson, there was an immense amount of in-depth descriptions and time allowance to fully grasp each concept of teaching.
What did you enjoy doing in your free time?
Prague provides plenty of downtime activities, including but not limited to museums, art exhibitions, local markets, walking tours, day trips to nearby castles, and a trip to the pub.
What was your accommodation like? What did you like best about it?
My accommodation was pre-arranged, and this made my transition quite simple. Once I made the decision to go, everything just fell into place nicely.

What is one thing every participant should know before participating in your program?
It's going to take effort and energy, time and determination on your part, and studying is a must. Yet, once you get through it and become certified, the sky's the limit—just don't take your educational time lightly, as you really need to know that teaching is something you want to do.
Now that you're home, how has your program abroad impacted your life?
My time abroad only led to more time abroad. It's opened so many doors that sometimes I feel I have too many options. Teaching is needed all over the world, in many countries and for plenty of different levels of learners and social classes.
Would you recommend Tefl Pro Prague to others? Why?
I know that if I can become a teacher, and help to educate students in the places I've worked and lived in since graduation, anyone can. The teachers from TEFL Pro Prague are dedicated to providing you with the best possible situations and schedules to allow your learning to be achieved.
