This 5-Day Aberdare Olpejeta and Samburu Safari by Arrow Adventures is a unique tour taking you to the Aberdare National Park, a high-altitude park created to protect the slopes and moorland of the Aberdare Mountains. The topography ranges from high moorland, hills, and peaks to an indigenous forest, ravines, streams, and waterfalls. The trip starts at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the world’s largest collection of black rhinos and hosting the planet's last two northern white rhinos. Along with these critically endangered animals, the conservancy provides a natural habitat for the Big Five and African game. Next, head to Samburu National Reserve, which derives its name from the Samburu people of Kenya who have lived in the area for many years. The Uwaso Nyiro River cuts through the reserve, drawing a large population of animals to the park. The river bustles with activity from hordes of Nile crocodiles. The game reserve is renowned for its rare species of animals – the long-necked gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa oryx.
