'Quilla', pronounced 'Kiya', is the Quechuan word for moon—the symbol of a new beginning. Kiya Survivors aims to give just that. Through education, therapy, love, and laughter, we encourage new beginnings for children with disabilities or learning difficulties and living below the poverty line, from vulnerable homes. As a Kiya volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work in an eclectic environment in the coastal village, Mancora, supporting our Peruvian team in make a real difference to people. Kiya is looking for enthusiastic individuals, groups, & families to join us in Peru & help hands-on in our projects.
