Graduating from SHMS has given a major boost to my career goals in the hospitality industry. The experience throughout the course enhanced my thinking capabilities and this is well recognized by employers as seen by the very good employment opportunities I received after graduation. In the past years, I have worked in management positions for leading hotel chains in four different countries on three different continents. Certainly SHMS has a well-established name and excellent reputation amongst hospitality employers.

Being a part of SHMS gave me an opportunity to do two internships with the Hilton chain in Zurich and Geneva. It was a fabulous experience as it enabled me to get a feel of the real hotel industry to acquire a variety of skills and knowledge, through interacting with different people and improving my French and German language abilities all of which will be tremendously beneficial to me in the future.

SHMS has a great reputatuion within the hospitality industry and is also our home during the time we are studying here. I know from the experience of my internships and from talking to my friends, that SHMS students are respected and sought after in many countries around the world.

I have studied the Higher Diploma and BA at SHMS...but I am very ambitious, so I always wanted to get the highest qualifications that I could. This is why I chose to study an MA and since my experience at SHMS had been so good, it seemed natural to complete my studies here. I hope that the MA will give me the very best chance to get right to the top in the Hospitality Industry.

I decided to go on to study a BA at SHMS as I realised the knowledge and qualification I gained would make me much more attractive to future employers. Studying the BA is very different to the HIgher Diploma, is challenging but rewarding.

By studying a Higher Diploma at SHMS I learnt a huge amount about the practical side of Hospitality Management. And through the internships I was able to put this knowledge into practice...and of course gain valuable experience at the same time. But more than anything else it is a GREAT experience!

The course structure of SHMS is unparalleled. The facilities are state of the art and the faculty is very well experienced and friendly.

I've learnt to speak French fluently at SHMS and I've had the great opportunity to work in Switzerland during my internship periods. I worked a lot, learnt a lot and got some good experience at the hotels where I worked.

The hotel management course has been structured to provide students with all the necessary theoretical and practical aspects to succeed in the industry. SHMS has experienced lecturers from the industry to impart knowledge to us.

Life at SHMS is great because you share your experience with people from more than 60 different countries & the leisure facilities are very good,- skiing, tennis, volleyball and fitness are only a few of the many activities in the school... the ambience is nice and the people are great.
