A Semester to Remember....

Macquarie University is an amazing school, just a 30 minute train ride into the heart of downtown Sydney. If you want the best of both worlds (city life/suburbs) MAC Uni is the place to study. The campus is beautiful with lots of green grass and luscious trees everywhere. Schooling was quite different with the way they grade/how the classes are set up, but the teachers were very helpful whenever I needed it. They understood that I was a study abroad student and worked with me on deadlines, etc. I was able to condense my schedule to three days a week, which left lots of time to travel to other cities/countries and explore the city of Sydney, including all its' beautiful beaches. If students are truly looking into going to this school, research the Macquarie University Village apartments. It is an amazing community of local Australians as well as other study abroad students. I now have friends from all over the globe and The Village puts on lots of events each semester to get students involved. The Village is also not as expensive as living on campus or in other apartments in the area. My walk to class took 10 minutes max, just down the hill and you're there.
Great experience at MQ!

I studied a Master of Commerce (majoring in Marketing) for a year in Macquarie (2013) and loved it there! I met so many inspiring people, my classes were really interesting and the projects I was given (individually or in group) were really in sync with the industry and the trends of the market. Originally from France, I have done a degree in the UK and one in Australia and it was one of the best experiences I've had! The staff from the International Office is helpful and lecturers know how to share their knowledge with both local and international students
