My experience in Montpellier was wonderful and I will always remember it. These past 3 months have been interesting and I've learned a lot. I met a lot of new people and have experienced new things. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to do volunteer service as a part of my study abroad experience and I feel that it made my stay in Montpellier more interesting. In living with a host family, studying at the university, and doing volunteer work, I feel that I saw a true side of French society and really feel that I was apart of the community and didn't see France just from the tourist point of view. I did a few different service opportunities, such as Pharmacies Humanitaires Internationales, L'Aviterelle, and I was an assistant with an English High School teacher and tutored students in English. All three experiences were different in their own way and forced me to speak French, which is what I wanted. As I came to the end of my stay in Montpellier, I was sad to leave the friends I had made, but every journey must come to an end.
