Beautiful country, beautiful people
Submitted by Chip - St Mary Seminary | September 30, 2016
Antigua is a beautiful country with beautiful people. Could not have been more pleased with my time in the city, in the school, and with our host. Great meals every morning and evening, engaging and challenging classes, and plenty of opportunities to see the beauty of Guatemala. Me and my comrades also took advantage of the numerous churches in the city, making prayer an integrative part of our experience. Thanks Maximo Nivel!
Teaching in Cuzco
Submitted by Harsha - University of Maryland | September 07, 2014
I first of all wanted to say that my overall experience in Cuzco, Peru was unforgettable and amazing. As for the review, there are some pros and cons I faced. The cons were the lack of organization in some situations. I did not want to sign up for programs where I am the only one working. The descriptions were a bit misleading where I was under the impression that there were many other volunteers with me. But, I managed the project by myself as it was just a week. The pros were the communication with the staff and the ability to change programs easily. I enjoyed working on different things and the responsibility the staff took upon themselves to give me a satisfying and enjoyable experience.
