The project helps disadvantaged populations that are marginalized for reasons out of their control. While there are a variety of issues in the community, the project has a few focus areas where it believes it can make the greatest difference. The main projects are assisting in a special needs school, teaching sports, and teaching at a slums outreach program. When volunteering in the special needs school and at the slums outreach program, volunteers help children gain confidence in their abilities to grow and learn.

The Banyan Impact Fellowship (formerly AIF William J. Clinton Fellowship) is a fully funded 10-months program in India. By facilitating exchange and collaboration between young professionals from India and the U.S., the program aims to shape the next generation of leaders committed to positive and sustainable change and creating a lasting US-India relationship. Fellows serve with civil society organizations in various thematic areas including environment protection, climate justice, public health, education, livelihoods, arts, culture, and more.
