"Join the Childcare program in Delhi with International Volunteer HQ and support young children from under-resourced communities while experiencing life in India’s vibrant capital region. Volunteers assist at daycare and community-run childcare centres around Faridabad, providing essential care, supervision and educational support. As a volunteer you’ll help with playtime, early-education activities, basic literacy and numeracy lessons, arts, games, hygiene education, and general supervision of children typically aged 4 to 8. This program is ideal for those with a caring nature and patience — no prior childcare experience is required because you will work alongside local staff who guide daily routines. The role is meaningful for gap-year travellers, students, or anyone passionate about helping children and learning about Indian culture. Program start dates are frequent and the duration is flexible. Outside the childcare placement you’ll have time to explore Delhi and its surroundings, including historic monuments, local markets, and rich cultural heritage, while contributing to improved early childhood education and care in the local community.

The Banyan Impact Fellowship (formerly AIF William J. Clinton Fellowship) is a fully funded 10-months program in India. By facilitating exchange and collaboration between young professionals from India and the U.S., the program aims to shape the next generation of leaders committed to positive and sustainable change and creating a lasting US-India relationship. Fellows serve with civil society organizations in various thematic areas including environment protection, climate justice, public health, education, livelihoods, arts, culture, and more. Fellows receive a stipend, health insurance, language training, mentoring, professional development, international networking and career opportunities. In Kerala, a coastal strip along the Arabian Sea, address economic and gender disparities in the country through community development projects. Support workshops to encourage men and boys to talk about gender issues, assist with the improvement of girls literacy skills, contribute to the English language skills of local youth and women, and support children and adults in self-care Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) routines.
