A historic experience at the Globe!
December 30, 2023by: Addie Richmond - United StatesProgram: AIFS Abroad in London, England (Shakespeare's Globe): Summer
Shall I compare this program to a summers day…what a wonderful time I had in London. Not only was it a remarkable academic experience, but it also provided an opportunity to forge lasting friendships. The faculty and staff of the Globe higher education program were made up of a brilliant array of scholars and artists that provided a diverse selection of lessons from historic dances to stage combat. As students we were given the opportunity to see multiple globe theater productions in person, which we then reflected on and analyzed to develop and perform scenes of our own. The location of the theater itself was ideal for exploring central London, I often found myself inspired by the rich history of the city. I recommend this program to anglophiles and Shakespeare enthusiasts alike!

Changing my view of the world
December 17, 2023by: Caitlyn Harris - United StatesProgram: AIFS Abroad in London, England (Shakespeare's Globe): Summer
I had always knew I wanted to study abroad and when I found the AIFS Shakespeares Globe program I knew it was the perfect fit for me. I was nervous to go even having a situation with my passport right before going, but AIFS was supportive the entire way through. I had the time of my life in London and learned more about Shakespeare than I ever have. AIFS helped me fall in love with London and the UK and it completely changed my view of the world. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

NYU London summer abroad
October 08, 2022by: Nina S - JapanBecause the program was six weeks with less than 30 students, we did not have many events or excursions organized by the school. The class size was small with less than ten students, but this allowed us to learn more about our professors. In regards to course materials, they were flexible with time, workload, and content because they understood that it was a short program. Also, the professors encouraged us to explore the city and get the most out of our stay by organizing in-class excursions and recommending sites we can visit and events we can participate. Byron Court (residence) was located in a safe and accessible area as it was at the center of London, surrounded by other colleges including UCL. The professors and staff members were all helpful, and I am grateful to have had the chance to spend my summer there.

I had the best time of my life
September 14, 2022by: Bhavya Jhunjhunwala - IndiaUAL study abroad was one of my best decisions. It actually helped me learn soo much about my own self and it literally challenged me to perform and keep challenging my own ideas and work upto the best of my potential. I've had a great great experience in London and the professors at UAL were amazing...they were always ready to help and were too good at delivering content. To sum up, this course actually helped me get a direction towards my career goal. Looking forward to go ahead with a master's at UAL.

Autumn 2019 study abroad
June 29, 2021by: Sophia Kim - United StatesI was able to be part of the Integrated Study Abroad program at Central Saint Martins. Luckily, previous students before me have been in this program before, so I was able to get a lot of advice and suggestions in regards to the school I attended and what I explore in the city. From my school in the US, I came to London with 3 of my friends from the same field of study, communication design. I am so grateful that I was able to go with these friends and that I was able to meet new people, too. I have created friendships at CSM that I am so happy to have and I believe that my experience there wouldn't have been the same without them. My time in London and at CSM has heavily shifted my perspective and the way I design. During my time at CSM, I realized that the way I worked was very restricted and had many rules. After my time in London, I knew that this was a great opportunity for me to change and become more open to the way I design. I miss London so much :(

My course, interaction Design Arts had great teachers that were always willing to help and make us feel like home. March 25, 2009by: Anonymous - United KingdomI put a 1 for party atmosphere because I didn't drink. It was the best experience of my life. I strongly recommend to students in British student clubs to get out of NYU bubbles. It's only the students who didn't venture out who ultimately felt disappointed.

March 13, 2009by: SGood - United KingdomI had a great time but I wish there had been more interaction between British students and American students. NYU in London should not be a separate entitiy but rather a direct exchange. The dorms were very strict with visitors which made having friends over difficult. <br /> NYU did a great job taking everyone on some trips around England but I would have loved to have had more independence and the option of living independently.
