History Study Abroad Programs in Colombia

Explore the vibrant city of Cali, Colombia, known for its salsa culture, delicious food, and rich heritage. Our travelers/volunteers teach English at Colegio Americano, where they educate students from pre-K to high school on various subjects, including United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. At first sight, the American and Colombian students make an instant friendship. Some students return year after year, and other college students make a return solo pilgrimage to visit their newfound friends. With natural wonders and plenty of activities, this 7-day program offers a perfect mix of meaningful volunteer work and exciting cultural experiences. Year over year, this is one of our favorite programs. Our philosophy is to serve and learn, and to also work hard and play hard. Our travelers enjoy good food and great fellowship. In addition to serving, travelers enjoy a chiva tour—a converted school bus that serves as a discotech. Travelers truly enjoy the immersion into the culture, plus the satisfaction of loving and serving Colombian students.
